The easy S T U F F . . .Name: Isabella Tate
Nickname: She only goes by Ella
Age: Twenty-six
Member Group: Recruiter
Power(s): Power Suppression
Play By: Mila KunisLet it F L O W . . .Sure I know you'd like a million words or so to fill you in about my past
A relatively calm birth, Isabella Tate graced the world with her presence a six pound baby with the most peculiar inquisitive eyes. One of the palest of blue and the other green flecked with warm honey brown. For a moment, she startled the doctors and her parents when she didn't cry but with a light tap on her back, she wailed like a banshee and thus ended the quiet life of Marie and Seth Tate.
Nothing was missed under the peculiarly colored eyes of the girl who early in life had insisted everyone around her call her Ella, finding it easier to pronounce at three years old. Ella's growing curiosity concerned her parents especially her mother when she started asking about the tall dark-skinned woman who kept leaving her briefcase unattended at the door of their house to go upstairs with her mother.
The stress of the divorce drove Seth to indulge in his only vice that he gave up when Marie decided she wanted a baby. He saw it as a blessing that for all of Ella's curiosity to try something new, she never picked up his horrible habit.
The curiosity built further in her adolescence with only her father to deal with it in his calm and patient manner. It got her into trouble more times than her father could care for but he never lost his patience. Mostly because she reminded him so much of her mother whom he still loved dearly.
It was only later in her youth that she understood what her father had done for her but realisation dawned on the young girl only when he passed away of lung cancer. She picked up smoking the day of his death. Many faces I have known, many ways in which I've grown, moving closer on my own
She was thirteen when she moved to Pilot Ridge where her mother had followed her lover, Faith Valesquez to be wed. Ella never bore resentment towards her mother but it was incessantly hard to be nice to her mother's partner for some reason. But a silver lining presented itself to Ella after two years of dodging her mother's partner. It was in Faith's home that a recruiter by the name of Aristea Panagos from Hammel found her at fifteen years old.
Ella was told she had a gift that if channeled properly could do a lot of good. For once in her fifteen years of life, her curiosity did not get the best of her and off she was whisked to the warmth that was Hammel. She was trained in four different arts of self defense since her power could only stifle another meta's power, which could only protect her so much.
She befriended a few metas who were quite happy to be normal again in her presence but that grew very old very fast when all she was to her so called 'friends' were a little bubble of normal with their 'other' truer friends.
It didn't take long for Ella to make enemies as her curiosity usually got the best of her whenever she felt like she wanted to test out her powers. Many a times, her power was used to stop bullies from using their powers against the lesser powerful kids. Sometimes, the bullied were grateful and other times, they were not. Because she practically had no social life with no real friends and only her recruiter as company, Ella concentrated on her studies and after three years in Hammel, she was presented with a high school diploma and was able to apply to Brown.
Getting accepted to the first and only place she applied to meant that she didn't have to stay long with her mother and Faith and by the time she graduated Brown with a double BA in journalism and public relations. Not that she ever got to use it.If you believe this is a moment, control it. You feel it getting better, back where we belong
Her love for Hammel never wavered, feeling that it had been her one true home after her father passed away. She went back with every intention of filling the position for recruiter, knowing how much good Aristea had done her by taking her away from her stepmother.
With her powers only limited to a hundred yard radius, Ella is dependent on her looks, her easy charm and her wit to relax the new recruits and their parents before she could make her move. So far, she had only recruited one but had to take a week of leave to recuperate because the recruit had been one hell of a struggler. Pyros. Feisty ones.Well the danger on the rocks is surely past still I remain tied to the mast could it be that I have found my home at last
Finding a home in Pilot Ridge had actually been a difficult feat. But after months of staying in the given dorms on campus, she finally found a place suitable for her and is now a proud owner of a tiny long haired calico, originally[/sarcasm] named Cali. We'll say things we never had planned then we'll get to know each other in a little while

JB: It's a project I'm doing.
ET: Yeah okay, sure. Do I get credit?
JB: *laughs* Sure, so I should just address you as IT or do I use your real name?
ET: IT. Sounds more mysterious *laughs*
JB: *giggles* Okay. So I know you're living alone now. But you're still pretty young. No boyfriend?
ET: *silence, presumably to light the cigarette, which corresponds to the video feed, before soft chuckle is heard* No time.
JB: Do you even like boys?
ET: *bursts into laughter* Of course I do.
JB: Hokay. So what is keeping you from finding a boyfriend?
ET: I don't see how this is relev-

ET: Alright alright...fine. I've got my work at the private boarding school at the top of the hill that keeps me busy. And when I get home, it's all about keeping the house clean, making sure my kitten gets enough cuddles and catch up on my reading. It keeps me busy.
JB: Oh. Okay sure. So if I were a guy and I was going to get to know you on a blind date or some-

JB: Seriously!
ET: *chuckles* Alright, alright! Keep your panties. *sighs and inhales cigarette stick, according to video feed* Alright, so I'm a big fan of cookies. Any kind. If you bake them for me, I’d be your friend forever. I like pencil shavings, which is why I use pencil instead of pen more. Um...*scratches forehead and laughter is heard on the recording* I like dancing. And the occasional karaoke sessions. Oh, I’m digging traveling. Been to a few places just in the US of A but that counts. *laughter from both subjects* So that’s pretty cool.
JB: Okay, I’ll accept that. Alright what about your dislikes?
ET: This is turning out to be like those online dating prof-
JB: El- IT! Just humor me, please?
ET: *nods while taking a drag from cigarette* Alright. Um, dislikes. Nosy people who ask too many quest-

ET: Sorry, sorry. Okay, I really don’t like getting paper cuts. Which is annoying because I'm always surrounded by paperwork...it's annoying let me tell you. I'm not particularly inclined to water. I almost drowned once in a pool and I think I saw someone pee in a pool and just...no. I like to sit by the beach though. Like...fifty yards away from the beach at least. I don't like being kept in the dark. Even if it's for my own protection, I just don't like it. In addition to that, I don't like being lied to. I'm an honest person myself, I think. So I'd like the same treatment.
I loathe being stuck in traffic. I get fidgety and restless and I sometimes get car sick. I hate coffee. I don't know why some people say they would die without coffee but I hate the taste. If I taste coffee in anything I eat or drink, I'll just push it away. And I don't like people making assumptions about me either. So yeah sure, I might come off as the resident bitch but it doesn’t mean I’m incapable of caring. I mean I care. I just show it differently.
I don't like being ordered around. And I don't like being ordered around twice. If you've said something once, I get it. I'll follow your rules but just say it once. Don't wear yourself out."
JB: *momentary silence* Wow.
ET: Good enough for ya?
JB: *chuckles and nods* So, one last question because I think my tape’s running out.
ET: *laughs, takes a drag from cigarette* Shoot.
JB: Why do you live alone?
ET: *silence. Tape ends, video still playing. Subject Tate ruffles Subject Bailey’s hair and leaves*

How did you find us?:If I told you I’d have to kill youBeen stalking teh site.Show your S K I L L S . . .“You should come back.” Marie twisted her napkin around her finger under the table, not able to look her daughter in the eye. She had grown a couple of inches since she left for Brown, Marie noticed. She hadn’t seen her daughter for a good chunk of ten years. And it was because of her marriage to a woman?
“I’ve got my own apartment.” Unaware of the turmoil bubbling under the pristine appearance her mother portrayed, something Ella knew was passed down to her, the petite brunette took a bite out of her bruschetta. “I trust Faith is well.” Ella mentioned the woman she disliked mainly because she was the reason she now didn’t feel so connected to her mother like before. Who gave her the right to seduce or be seduced by her beautiful mother? Yes, Ella was aware that her mother wasn’t entirely innocent in all this. She had left such a good man who loved her and a daughter who would have taken good care of her.
Truthfully, Ella would have been offended her mother thought her so shallow to hate Faith because of her gender. She would actually have been equally if not more enraged if it were a man. To be honest, Faith was a good woman. Had she been Ella’s friend without wrecking her family apart, Ella would have been delighted to spend time with the woman.
“Faith is absolutely fine.” Marie smiled endearingly. But she caught herself for the benefit of her daughter. “We’re thinking of adopting. I don’t know if I told you.” The prospect of being a big sister thrilled Ella but her dislike for who the baby may be related to clouded her judgement.
“No, you didn’t.”
Marie sighed and placed a hand over her daughter’s with a pleading look on her face. “Please come back.” The dainty woman begged in a whisper. Ella calmly pulled her hand back and pushed her plate away from her, having lost her appetite. “You didn’t have space for me before dad’s death. I hardly think you will once the baby comes around so, no use pretending.” Ella made a show of patting her mother’s delicate hand before getting up from the chair. “Thank you for the wonderful dinner. Don’t send my regards to Faith.” It was a childish thing for Ella to do but it was out, no use trying to take it back.
“Happy child hunting.”
