Powers: Vibration perception: Iggy is able sense vibrations by means of skin rather than ear. He feels vibrations that are at both higher and lower frequencies of human hearing, and gets goosebumps as a result of it. Because Iggy is deaf he is unable to tell which sounds are in human range, and often asks about the ones that feel unfamiliar. To trigger his power he has to snap his fingers or clap to create vibration on his skin. The rest of the vibrations will then be felt naturally. He has a good handle on it, but is still adjusting, thus he can only manage a few consecutive hours at a time. While his power is being used his skin is sensitive to touch.

General Appearance: Iggy is at the height of 5'8". If he could grow taller, that would be wonderful, but there don't seem to be any growth spurts coming seeing as he's taller than his mom and two inches shorter than his father. Being an avid swimmer, he has a fair build with a weight of 138 lbs. His skin is a an complexion for reasons no other than it's genetic. His face is round with soft features. His dark brown eyes have an almond shape. He has thin lips which are usually curved into a cheerful smile. As for hair, Iggy has a habit of playing with it. His natural color is a brunette shade on the darker side of the fashion. At one point it will be his natural style, short and brown, next he'll have dyed it a light blonde and begin to grow it out. Once longer he may dye it a dirtier blonde and give it a more spiky style, then cut it short again and dye it black. He always goes back to natural color after a while, but it won't always be the same length at that point.
As for clothes, Iggy is really loosy-goosy. He doesn't mind anything as long it fits comfortably. He'll wear a button down as much as he would a t-shirt. A pair of slacks or jeans work fine. And a pair or converse covered in sharpie to finish it off. He isn't really one for fancy clothing, but he knows better than to underdress.
Personality: Iggy is a bucket of sunshine. He's cheerful, and overall positive. He's often been called optimistic to the point of stupidity, but that was purely opinion as far as he is concerned. He isn't one to get brought down easily by other people's gloom and doom. He likes to look on the bright side of life. After all, what's so fun about worrying so much? Having a good time is what Iggy's all about. If you're feeling down he'll try to cheer you up. Life's too short not to enjoy.
He likes to enjoy himself and have a good time, and nothing's gonna stop him. Iggy isn't easily insulted, nor does he care if you try to sabotage his form of entertainment. He'll simple find something else to do. In other words, he's very good at ignoring his antagonists if there are any. Despite his deafness, and best form of communication being through sign language, Iggy is very social. He likes to get to know other people and be in people's company. He doesn't let a little language barrier stop him.
In the past when told he was blind people would apologize, empathize, or just walk away. Iggy hates that. He finds nothing wrong with it, and is actually proud to be Deaf. He just figures it's another point of view to live life. There's nothing wrong with being unable to hear, and hates when people treat him like he's disabled. He's confident in himself, and doesn't like help from others. He only gets help from others when he's given up trying to something for himself.

History
Iggy was born in Jarvisburg, North Carolina to a happy Chinese-American couple on June 21. He seemed like a happy healthy little baby. But as his parents were teaching him shapes, colors, letters and such, they found he was reacting more sight than he did their voices. Doctors found that he was born hearing impaired, while he could hear things, it wasn't very well. With that in mind, Mr. and Mrs. Liu tried desperately to teach him to speak while they still could, and learned American sign language as they taught it to him. Iggy picked up on ASL much more quickly than spoken English, but he was learning.
A year after Iggy was born Theodore Liu joined the family. He, unlike his brother, was a completely healthy hearing baby. As years progressed Iggy's hearing got worse. While he did manage to learn to talk, he preferred not to as he couldn't hear his own voice. School was a bit of a hassle from the start. Teachers always seemed to fawn over him, making sure he knew what was happening and that he was caught up. He wanted to do things on his own, but he managed. Very quickly Iggy discovered his love for the water. All it took was a trip to the beach and a few swimming lessons. He loved spending his time in the water. Ocean, river, lake, pool, if he could swim in it he was happy.
Puberty came along not to long after he turned fourteen, and so did his power. He started noticing things around him more, and began to react to loud noises like the other kids. He also found his chronic goosebumps strange. Then around two weeks afterwards, da-da-daa, the recruiters arrived. After an explanation Iggy was off to Pilot Ridge. It took him time to adjust to the setting, teachers, and hoard of meta-students, but he eventually settled in.
His first year there he quickly became friends with a non-powered local girl named Ysabelle. The two of them spent a great deal of time together with the problem of communication. Ysabelle was mute. His years at Pilot Ridge and Hammel continued, and the two of them almost became inseparable. He is now sixteen with powers he's got pretty good control over as he attends Hammel.
