Any Scars? A curved serration just above his collarbone
General Appearance: Thomas takes pride in his appearance but often has lazy days where he would just throw on a shirt and jeans. Normally, especially when he’s at work, he would be in a shirt and sweater vest ensemble with his wavy dark hair neatly combed to the side.
He has a rather odd sort of face, if he were to describe himself. Deep set blue eyes framed by thick dark eyebrows, a long sharp nose and thin lips he always bites out of habit. And sharp, defined cheekbones “that could probably cut glass”. At least according to his last girlfriend.
Thomas is quite tall, leaning against 6 feet at least but he slouches just slightly to feel less of a giant. Of course, compared to the likes of Dr Neville and one other staff member, he must look like a midget. But he does walk with his back straight and always with a small smile on his face to greet his students and fellow staff.
Personality: Polite. That is usually what most of his acquaintances would say about him. One of his close friends had described him as painfully English, which he wasn’t quite sure was accurate. He swore and yes sure he drank tea but he was hardly the cultural landmark, he thought. Modest is also another trait people attribute him to. He can’t quite take a compliment and when he does, he would always respond in kind.
He is also rather shy and a little on the quiet side when you first meet him. But as soon as you’ve broken the ice, he would start getting a little chatty and would regale you with anecdotes aplenty.
Thomas is also quite passionate when it comes to languages so if you happen to be speaking in a completely foreign language that he has yet to master, he would ask you to teach it to him. At your convenience of course.
Generosity is also a trait he has in abundance. Having had quite a privileged life, Thomas would feel very bad for people who are clearly in need and would most definitely help them however he can. This is also one of his downfalls as he rarely says no to people and people have taken advantage of that.

History
Thomas was a quiet baby, not too fussy but had a little trouble with sleeping at the right times. He was often awake when his parents were sleeping but seldom woke them up for anything.
It went on well into his early teen years and his parents often wondered if there was anything wrong with him. He seemed to love books and was always buried in them day in and day out. He spoke when he was spoken to but other than that, he was just really quiet.
Until that strange Sunday afternoon, three days after his twelfth birthday when his mother instructed him to switch off the TV and instead of his regular “Five more minutes, mum.” what came out of his mouth was foreign to his mother’s ears. She chalked it up to him having exposed himself to multi-lingual books and magazines and figured he was just trying to train it but it went on for a while and she even caught him watching Russian TV shows and laughing even before the laugh track started.
The few days after became a little odd for Cynthia when he started to speak to her in a foreign language and when she didn’t understand, he would continue in a few other languages before starting to cry when she didn’t understand. She wanted to reprimand him for being that way but she had to admit it to herself that her little boy wasn’t doing this on purpose.
Paul decided to send him to a specialist and even she had been dumbfounded, but it didn’t take long for someone to visit their home to tell them that their son had an ability that surpassed that of his peers and just like that, the whole family uprooted their lives to live in a foreign country where their firstborn was to get an education in a special school in Switzerland.
Thomas’ time in Kocher was something he couldn’t forget. Mostly because he was bullied rather often but much like his father, Thomas persevered calmly and rarely took offense to people calling him weird-looking and making sure that he knew that his power was stupid and that he was a tell-tale due to his ability to understand what they were saying and would tell on them when it was something damaging when in truth, someone else had put the blame on him due to his ability.
His parents somehow found out and decided that maybe Kocher wasn’t the place for him and once again uprooted their lives to send him to the American sister school where he actually thrived and was well-liked due to his quiet charm and weird looks. He graduated Hammel a year earlier and decided to put his ability to good use, earning him multiple degrees and even a doctorate in French language and literature.
Thomas came back to Hammel for a teaching position, opting for a high school environment simply due to his love for the school. He has been there for four years now and does not seem to be showing any signs of moving anywhere else.
