How do you go about telling the difference between a pair of identical twins when they are first born? It's next to impossible isn't it? Now as they grow up, they become their own person and it becomes easier. But what happens when those twins manifest as a Gestalt Pair and their individuality becomes non-existent once more? That is the case with Mr. Thanos of the Hammel Institute.
When Dionysius and Evander were growing up, the Greek-Americans always found themselves toying with those around them. They dressed the same, acted the same and practiced talking at the same time. They were a wicked pair of twins, always set on confusing people so that they could never tell which twin was which. The only way that anyone was able to realize which one was which was after their tenth birthday because a few weeks later, there was an accident that ended with a scar just across Evan's right side on his rib-cage. There wasn't really a way that they could fake that when they went swimming or ended up shirtless for any reason.
The way they acted, no one ever really suspected a thing after their twelfth birthday passed. They were always at each other's side and during school, they found the classes that they did not share made them restless and uncomfortable. Eventually they found that they would finish each other's sentences regularly and even talked at the same time. If one was angry, the other was. If one got in trouble, they both felt the consequences. It became very strange to them because they knew that it was no longer a joke being played on the people around them. It was all very real.
And then the recruiters came and took them away. Neither of the boys understood why their parents reacted so calmly as they were dragged away.
Over the passing years, the boys were no longer the boys. They became the boy. One entity in two bodies. Dio and Evan learned as much as he could about his ability. One mind, two bodies, one might think it was weird. To him, it was nothing out of the ordinary, this had been his childhood. He had always been one mind in two bodies. Upon graduating he realized that if anyone could understand gestalts completely, it was him and the thought of being a trainer was sparked.
Just this year, Dionysius and Evander got hired at the Hammel Institute as a trainer for the Gestalts and other students that were in need of training. Over all, he's fairly sure that the students will get mixed ideas about him starting off. With maturity, he has become serious, reserved, but don't let that fool you. Dio and Evan don't smile often when they are working, but you'll find that he is one of the funniest teachers you will ever have. He's one of those teachers that can say something in such a monotone, but that is what makes it just so hysterical. He also happens to be incredibly smart and can insult someone's intelligence without much personal thought.
That being said, his social life is quite different. He enjoys socializing and surprisingly enough, he loves to dance. Yeah, yeah, he's two bodies, how does that work? It took him a lot of work to get all four feet working together. He also loves to cook and having two bodies, really does help.
