For her outing today, Sera had a decision to make. White or black. The black one was fashionable. It looked splendid on her. But it was black and very hot outside. And the material wasn't made for breathing. The white one was also fashionable. It too looked splendid on her, and was made of very airy material. But it was white. And white stained so easily. It was such a risk, wearing white. Especially if she decided to stop anywhere to eat.
Sera sighed as she made the hard decision to just go ahead and wear the white dress despite the risk. It really did look better on her anyways, and it was more comfortable. She would just have to be extra careful today.
Today Sera had a multitude of errands to run, many of them relating to the preparation of her and Malachai's summer "camping" trip. She was fairly certain she knew how many people were coming along, but you never knew. Something could come up and one person might cancel or another might decided the want to...it was all very unpredictable. Sera hated that. It gave her a headache.
At the midpoint of her day, Sera needed a pick-me-up. Badly. So she stopped by one of the Starbucks on her way to her next destination. She wasn't in as much of a rush as she thought, Sera had actually gained some time in her schedule, so she could afford to spare some time with a cup of coffee. And the shop was blessedly uncrowded, making her feel like she could breath. Sera stepped up to the counter with her usual bitch-stare and made her order: a skim milk, sugar free, caramel mocha with no whipped cream. Grande. When asked, Sera handed the cashier her American Express Platinum card, which had her name, Seraphine Roen, neatly indented across it.
