The roar of the crowd filled his senses as Matt stood at the front of the stage. His fingers sparking as if his hands were made of metal as they hit against the strings. He could feel the heat of the fire burning into the calluses of his fingers. Panties and bra’s hit against the stage while lighters outnumbered the stars of the open topped arena.
That was the dream. A dream, at least. He’d be fine to win three super bowls and replace Manning. But really, why couldn’t both be possible?
Matt shook his head and leaned forward and rolled into a seated possition, pulling himself off of the grass and setting his fingers to his guitar.
“It aint gonna happen if you just dream about it, boy.” Matt said with a smile in a bit of a more gravelly voice. Words from his grandfather, kind words even when the tone was harsh. Matt cleared his throat and looked down at the guitar tabs he had printed out from the library. “Alright, first up...Kansas.” He knew most of it from sound alone. Learning by listening to the fantastic song, though he needed to refresh it and make sure his fingers were truly in the right place.
He put the tabs beside of the amp and his backpack, leaning them against it before he started to play. He cleared his throat and belted out the song as the lyrics would’ve come in. He wasn’t that bad! He wouldn’t be a vocalist, however he might be able to perform in a dive bar.
Suddenly a gust of wind ended his session as the first three pages of tabs were lifted up into the air and tossed about. “No! Damnit, no! Kansas!” Matt lifted up to try and grab them, but in his bit of a fit he tripped over the connection between his guitar and amp. Both the amp and guitar fell with an ear piercing noise. The pages twisted together with the breeze, moving further away from the music making meta.

"I close my eyes only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is No no no crap!”
