Rebekah | 53 | Lesbian | App here
Beka is totally at a loss how to react to this place. While powers aren't unheard of, she certainly has no particular experience with them. She's here at Hammel because her adopted son can manipulate plants life. She views his particular gift as something wonderful and marvelous, but she isn't entirely sure how to handle an entire school full of such people. He's her son. They're all just... people.
Beka's hit the highs and lows of human experience and now she's just getting by, trying to take whatever life decides to throw at her.
Friends: Beka needs 'em! She can carry on with just about anyone at an aquaintance level, although friendship requires a little more depth. She's an intelligent and driven woman, and she is fond of being able to interact with others who are similar in that regard. She makes an excellent listener. Although she would have plenty to say, she doesn't easily unload her own emotions on others, so relationships can sometimes seem one-sided before she opens up.
Enemies: There aren't too many people Beka would bother considering enemies. Anyone who is a threat to her son would be an instant enemy, although she tends to let him deal with his own challenges rather than step in herself (her role is to support, not act for him). She doesn't handle intolerance well either. She's Jewish and a lesbian, and she's dealt with her fair share of bigoted people in her life. While she once found that incredibly hurtful, she's well past letting herself play the victim.
Romances: Beka was with her wife Eliza for 18 years and she neither expects nor wants to ever find someone like that again. That being said, something that starts as companionship may at some point grow into more, although it won't likely be the whirlwind of flighty youthful love. Up front, I will note that anything on this front won't be planned for a little while. I'd rather see her interact first.
All right... have at it! Plot away!
