It was late morning when Vincent finally stirred, his eyes blinking blearily in the sunlight coming in through the window. He groaned, not quite sure whether he was ready to resign himself to consciousness yet or not. He rolled over, lifting his arm to rub at his eyes, when he realized that something was... off.
For one, he was not in his bed. He was laying on the floor with a warm body next to him that probably should not have been there. Of course, Vincent was blissfully free from hangover as he always was, but the delay between his body waking up and his brain waking up was as long as always.
With a groan, he pushed himself up into a sitting position, stiff joints popping as he did so. A yawn crept over him and he stretched his arms up over his head, enjoying the pull on his muscles and the breath filling his lungs. As it passed, he looked around, not recognizing the living room that he had obviously spent the night in, and pursed his lips.
And then Vincent finally took a look at who was sleeping next to him: Brendan. He blinked, willing his brain to wake up, and was granted with flashes of memory from the previous night. Coyote Ugly, dancing, the kissing, and how they'd stumbled through the door desperately trying to get inside the other's clothing. Said clothing was scattered everywhere and Vincent's face slowly grew into the most cocky smirk he'd ever worn.
He laid back down, tucking himself against Brendan's side, unwilling to give up the opportunity to be close to him. Last night had been absolutely amazing, everything that Vincent could have asked for and more, and he was just left hoping that it wouldn't be a one time thing. Or that the sole reason for all of this was the alcohol.
Perfectly happy to snuggle against Brendan's side, Vincent let himself sift through his memories, and were the feelings not so intense, he might have passed it all off as a blissful dream. Yet, here Brendan was, right next to him, and Vin could smell his skin and hear his breathing and it was all just so... real. Sure, he probably should have worried about where they were or how Brendan was going to react when he woke up, but when it came to this moment, this deliriously happy moment as he laid against Brendan, all he could do was smile.
