Jaythen wasn't ashamed at all over being adopted. All he cared about was that someone was willing to put up with him and love him for who he was. His parents were some of the best people on the planet. "So is mine. Most of my siblings will be at that picnic, so it should be fun. You'll fit right in." He smirked down at the spot where Ricio punched him before looking the man in the eye. "Sure you want to rough house with a possible stalker?" Wait, wasn't Ricio supposed to be the stalker? JT wasn't sure anymore.

Jaythen's face tinged slightly in the corner as he was flat out hit on. He scratched the back of his ear and looked up at the sky for answers. "Honestly, I haven't really been not lonely in a long time," he sighed. There were so many odd negatives in that sentence he could kick himself. Well, he would kick himself later. "The last person I dated was in high school, and well, I'm not so that blew up in my face," he said, shrugging. Ah Aphrodite. Maybe it was nicknaming her Aphro that had sealed her hatred for him? He couldn't be sure.

"Can't say I've met him, though I probably will at some point once I become famous," JT kidded, a big smile on his face. He patted Ricio on the shoulder. "Don't worry about the play man, I just thought it'd be something you'd enjoy." Honestly JT wouldn't be upset if Ricio never came to a single play he was in. Jaythen laughed, glad to be in Ricio's company. "I think we're both stalkers, just to clear things up a bit."

Ricio grinned at the prospect of meeting Jaythen’s family. He had a feeling they were bound to be a lively bunch. And if nothing else, he was pretty sure he’d have a good time chatting with Jaythen again. Not to mention free food. That was always a plus. “I’m sure it will be fun. Especially if you have the sort of family where I would fit right in,” he said. He laughed a little at the other man’s ‘threat’ before his next comment. “What? You afraid of a lil ol’ hobo?”

Ricio noticed the expression on Jaythen’s face and made a mental note to cut back on the flirting, since it appeared it wasn’t all that welcome. Of course, Ricio was never the best at remember things, but he would try. “Mind translating that?” Ricio asked, confused by all the negatives. But Jaythen continued explaining and Ricio nodded along. “Can’t say I’m that great in that department either,” he admitted. Sure Ricio knew how to have a good time. And there had been more than a few relationships over the years. But he had never been one for commitment.

“Gee,” Ricio added, mirroring Jaythen’s smile. “Maybe I should get your autograph now, so I can cash it in later.” His smile vanished for a moment. He was really starting to feel a little guilty about the whole play thing and as usual, his face was easy enough to read.

Luckily Jaythen brought up the stalker issue again. “Two stalkers stalking each other,” Ricio said, glad for the change in topic. “Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.”

JT managed a laugh. "Of course it will be fun! If you can get past all of my family drama. One of my sister's is mad at one of my brother's because he was wasted the night of her birthday and forgot to take her out. You know, the usual family stuff." Jaythen sighed. "I'm not afraid of you Ricio, I'm quite the bum myself." His tell tale grin remained on his face, his eyes momentarily turning into those of Ricio's. They were more alike than either of them was acknowledging.

He clapped Ricio over the shoulder. "Well it's a good thing I'm not asking for advice." The last thing JT needed to hear, was the Ricio was super suave and got everything he wanted from anyone he chose from. Sure people would be sympathetic over a hobo, but would they really date one? JT didn't want to ask how that worked. Where were they supposed to sleep at the end of the day?

"No autograph for you mister," he said , shaking his finger at Ricio. Oh well, at least Ricio wasn't asking for his number, though JT doubted he had a phone to call him with. That just added to the whole, how does a bum date someone anyways? And how would that be attractive to someone else?

Wait, wasn't Ricio going to try and stop flirting with JT? The doppleganger laughed and shrugged. "How's that supposed to work, when you're stalking someone that's never there because they're stalking you?"

Ricio knew a little about family drama. Not that he tried to pay much attention to it. His own sisters relationship with him, and his brother, was more than a little strained. And he and his parents have never been close, even when he was a child. But he didn’t let that bother him. He had Chuck. And he never had much trouble finding new friends wherever he happened to be.

“Oh really?” Ricio asked, although he doubted Jaythen was a liar. “Guess I’m in good company then.” He grinned at Jaythen’s display of power again. It was still a little odd to see his own eyes on someone else’s face. But not a bad sort of odd. Ricio laughed as Jaythen clapped him on the shoulder. “Well, at least not on that subject,” he said, grinning.

“Awh,” Ricio said, faking a pout. “How am I supposed to make my millions now?” He couldn’t help but grin as he added, “What if I offer you some pie?”

Well, Ricio had tried not to flirt. But he never claimed to have the greatest memory. And some things just came naturally. After all, romance didn’t come easily in the life of a hobo. And in Vermont where the weather wasn’t always cooperative, it was usually necessary to find some sort of shelter for the evening. Although with Ricio’s fear that was a little tricky as well. He had to admit things had been easier when he’d lived in California.

And Ricio would have also said that not having a phone was a plus in the romance area. It helped to keep relationships short if he had a valid reason for why he couldn’t remain in contact. And Ricio had never been one for commitment to anything.

"Oh, I don't doubt you could advise me on the best places to sleep during bad weather," he nodded, in mock appreciative sort of way. Really, he couldn't think of a single thing to ask Ricio should he need the advice, for whatever that unspoken thing would be.

JT laughed, shaking his head. "Depends on if the pie has strings attached." Because no, Ricio would never be more than a friend. He just didn't want to have to outright say it.

The doppleganger packed up his few things and stood up, brushing his pants down. "Do you usually hang out here? Or do you have a pen or something so I can give you my address?" As he spoke, he was shuffling through his bag, trying to find such a utensil. He frowned. "You know, I think I might have to meet you somewhere to give you my address. Or maybe someone has a pen..." His sentence trailed off as he sought someone out. But everyone seemed to be avoiding the hobo and his new buddy.

"You betcha," Ricio added. "Although that's not the only subject I'm knowlegable about." He grinned, but he was also serious. Ricio felt that he had lots of advice to give the world.

“No strings,” Ricio said, finally resigning himself to the fact that his advances were getting him nowhere. Still Jaythen seemed like he’d be a good guy to spend time with, even if they were never be more than pals.

“I’m always around somewhere,” he said grinning. “I move around a bit, but I do stop by the lake a lot. I like it here. It’s peaceful.” He paused remembered the reason Jaythen had stopped in the first place. “Well most of the time it is.”

Reaching into his bag, Ricio pulled out a pen and a scarp of paper. “Here,” he said, handing them to Jaythen. “I’m pretty sure that still works. You know you’re making it really easy for me to stalk you for more handouts, giving me your address and all.” He grinned at his friend, starting to get a little excited about this picnic.

Jaythen didn't want to judge a book by it's cover, but sometimes doing so just made life easier. "You'll be the first person I call on," he said, instead of saying he'd call because, well, that had already been covered.

"Good, because stringy pie tastes like crap," he said, making a disgusted face. He soon cracked up into a smile, glad to say he had made a new friend. He could really use more friends in his life, it was just rare he went out and about. Unlike Ricio, JT was content spending his days inside and being a hermit for the rest of his life, so long as he could act when the need arose.

JT grinned back at Ricio. "Good, then maybe I'll catch you around again soon." He didn't have a job to be at. The two of them could have deep conversations all the time. He could bring more food, something his family seemed to have plenty of.

Taking the pen and paper, Jaythen began writing down his address. "Works very well," he commented. He smirked at Ricio. "It's an invitation! Not to stalk me, naturally, but you can come to the picnic. And you can visit me if you want to, I'm home most of the time. There's no need to wander around the house unnoticed." JT handed the note and pen back to Ricio, another hand on the bum's shoulder. "See you then then." He gave Ricio another wave before turning back to his house. Time for another round of play practice. Oh, it was to be indeed.

Ricio smiled at Jaythen’s statement. It was nice that have some accept him enough as an actual human being to believe that he could help them out. Most people just saw him as a beggar who couldn’t even help himself.

“I wouldn’t know from, but I’ll take your word for it,” he said, laughing at the repulsion on his friend’s face. He was really hoping that he would see Jaythen around more often. Friends weren’t the easiest thing from him to come by, especially ones whom he got along with well.

“An invitation? Suuure it is,” he joked, taking the paper from Jaythen and glancing at it briefly before stuffing it into his pocket. “See ya.” He waved and watched as Jaythen walked off before turning back to his things. Starting to collect them, he was still smiling at how well the day was going so far.
