Logan shook his head, pretending to be ashamed of Ethan's chopstick swordplay. "And now I'm wondering why I'm always called the dork," he said as he snatched the boy's "weapon" away from him. "And no, I don't pay anyone. Who do you think I am? Zac? Just 'cause I room with him doesn't mean I'm turning into him." Logan crossed his arms and turned his nose up to the air like a pompous rich guy. "I say, Ethan, where does one find the wine and caviar in this festering boil of a restaurant?" He snapped out of his false rich guy persona and then looked to Ethan. "Aww, so you think I'm pretty. How sweet of you!"

Back to the more serious stuff. Logan felt bad that Ethan got the crap beat out of him. He wished he would have been there to help out, but if Lukas was really a pro-fighter than he would most likely get the crap beat out of him as well. Luckily, Ethan found a silver lining to the whole incident, which was good. It made the conversation less bleak and depressing. "That's good I guess... minus the gay jokes. You should go up to him and be like, 'doesn't matter, had sex'."

When the topic was change back to figuring out what kind of gift to get the girl, Logan smirked at Ethan's idea. "I liked that movie," he commented as he began to think about how Andi would take it if she received a singing gift card. "I guess it depends on the song that it plays. No Marvin Gaye or anything like that."

Finally finishing his meal, Logan pushed his empty plates forward for the waitress to pick up the next time she came around. "So," he began to ask, "you wanna go by the theater and see if that movie is playing or do you have other things planned?"

Ethan actually thought that Logan would indulge him, even for a bit, so he made a really long face when his toys were suddenly snatched from him. “Since when did you become such a killjoy?” he asked, pouting with such exaggeration (and flailing from side to side just slightly) so that Logan would know that he’s only kidding.

“You’re in a room with that dick now? Why’d you switch rooms anyway? God, that must suck.” He doesn’t really associate with the rich prat as much as he associates with Logan or the other members of the Hammel student body in general, but whenever he does, he always walks away irritated, angry or just plain annoyed. When Logan did his impersonation, Ethan sneakily reached for his confiscated chopsticks, wiped them with a napkin and playfully poked the Cajun’s nostrils. “Need your nose picked your highness?” he chuckled.

Brax suddenly running to his rescue was more than a silver lining in Ethan’s opinion. It somehow gave him hope that there’s still a chance for reconciliation, which is why he’s been bugging Matt like crazy and is still thinking of getting Andi a gift. “I don’t know. I mean, I’m rather used to it, I do live in a house full of testosterone-filled guys.” And not everyone knows that he doesn’t really prefer a man over a woman. It’s only Jeremy, Jack, Liam, and a couple more. “And like, for some reason, Braxton’s jokes just hit me harder. Even if all my other bros say the exact same words. It’s weird.” He can’t have feelings for the guy, can he?

“We can’t be friends if you don’t,” teased Ethan, eating the last of his sweet-and-sour pork, “That movie is amazing. Emma Stone’s great but god is Amanda Bynes hot.” Not to mention he wishes his parents were that cool. Sure they were more lenient and fun than most other parents he’s heard about, but still. “No Adele on the cards then. Or Taylor Swift. You think High School Musical or Camp Rock would work?”

Finishing roughly the same time as Logan, he motioned for the waitress to send them the cheque so they can get on their way. “Nope, nothing planned. How ‘bout you? No dates, no boys, nothing?”

Logan busted out laughing at Ethan's exaggerated pouting. It was a hilarious sight to see. "A killjoy? What're you talkin' about? I'm really enjoying myself!" Logan could tell they were getting a bit too loud by all the strange looks they were getting from other people eating at the restaurant. Not wanting to get kicked out, he quickly took a deep breath to calm himself down. "We should hang out more often. I haven't had this much childish fun in a while."

Switching the subject to LaRousse, a grin appeared on Logan's face. It wasn't the first time he heard someone openly say that Zac is a dick or an ass hole, and it most certainly wont be his last. "We used to be pretty friendly to each other, but not as much anymore. Anyway, we tolerate each other enough to get along I guess," he said, expecting some wild reaction out of Ethan. "It sounds crazy, I know, but the way I see it, I only have another semester at Hammel after this one is over, so it's not that big of a deal."

Feeling a chopstick suddenly invade his nose, Logan gave Ethan a fake angry glare. "I highly suggest you remove thou sword from thy nose before thou be executed, peasant."

The way Ethan talked about Braxton made him question things. Why would what Braxton says hurt more than what everyone else says? It didn't take him long to come to a conclusion. Ethan must have feelings for him. "Maybe it's 'cause you two are such good friend?" Logan said to try and explain it. He didn't want to ruin the afternoon by making a false accusation.

"High School Music or Camp Rock might work... if she's twelve. But then again, you know her better than I do. If she's into that kind of stuff, go for it." Taking a final sip of his drink, he stood up. "I'll be right back." The Cajun ventured off to the bathroom, did his business, and came back a few minutes later.

Seeing the check on the table, his first instinct was to pay for it, but he knew Ethan would want handle it. "Nope. None of that today. Hopefully I'll have some in the near future," he said as he began playing on his iPad he had on him the whole time. "We could check the showings at the movies on this."

“You’re calling me childish? I’m insulted!” laughed Ethan, puffing his chest with such exaggeration when he frowned, shaking his head in feigned disappointment, “We should really. Now I feel bad for completely not keeping in touch over this semester.” Too busy making all these new friends that he almost forgot about the good old ones. Thank god Logan bore no ill will towards him. “My subjects are way easier come the next term – got all the hardcore ones out of the way, thank goodness – so I assure you I’d be able to bug you more,” he said with a grin. But then he remembered that Logan’s graduating, posing the possibility that it might be the opposite now. Oh life.

Seeing Logan so calm about the whole LaRousse issue told Ethan that it really isn’t being worked up on. At least he’s not miserable and stuff. “So fast right? Where are you planning on going after Hammel?” Knowing Logan, it’s probably Yale or Princeton or any other rich and prestigious university. No resentment in that, he clarifies. “Or are you taking a break first and volunteering in Africa for a year or simply taking a tour of, I don’t know, Europe?” Would that be something. (The latter, of course. While Ethan would love to volunteer, doing it for a year seems a bit too much).

Ethan playfully gave Logan’s nose a quick tap before ‘sheathing’ his ‘sword’ (read: covering it with a clean napkin). “Maybe. You think you can help me think of a good speech to talk him out of it?” Hopefully something that he won’t chicken out of when the time comes for him to tell Brax. (He’s had far too many speeches that were twisted in a way that Brax made him feel too sensitive or even stupid for even thinking too much about it).

“She’s actually more like a hardcore chick kid of.” Hard to describe her really, claims the brunette. “Dude, she owns a motorcycle.” Shallow as it may be, but to Ethan it says ‘badass’ in so many different levels. He wouldn’t be caught riding one, let alone driving it. “Wouldn’t be too much of a bother if we took a detour after the movie or something right? Help me pick something out?”

He saw the glance Logan had when he came back from the loo and he grinned. “It’s already been paid for dude, don’t worry about it,” he reassured the Cajun, standing up and putting his hand on his shoulders, casually leading him out the restaurant. “Movies it is. Hopefully Immortals is on. And don’t worry about a boyfriend, it’ll come around. If you want, I can hook you up with a few people. They’re not much older, I assure you.”

Logan was beginning to notice there was a lot of false, exaggerated emotions being portrayed between him and Ethan. To continue the trend, Logan began putting his best sad face on and even fake crying. "You better be sad," he managed to say in between his horrible sobbing, "I've been so depressed lately 'cause I haven't been seeing you and I've been crying myself to sleep EVERY NIGHT!" Logan's classes were much easier for the spring semester as well. He had a bit of senioritis, so he scheduled the easiest classes he can think of, meaning he has to spend less time studying and more time doing other things. "Sweet! I have easy classes too!"

Graduation was right around the corner and Logan hadn't even applied to any schools yet. His parents told him not to worry because they would become "supportive donors" of whatever school he wanted to and get him in that way. As much as his parents wanted him to get into Harvard or Princeton, he had his sights set elsewhere. "I plan on attending LSU, Tulane, or staying here and attending University of Vermont," he said honestly. "And no, I don't plan on taking a semester off for anything. I want to get my degree and hit the road. Besides, there's plenty of time during the summer to tour Europe."

The thought of forming a speech to tell Braxton made Logan cringe. "There no need for a speech. Just tell him he needs to stop. I mean, if he's really your friend, he should understand and let up." Logan didn't know Ethan's friend very well, so he wasn't sure how confronting him would go down. All he could say is what he would do if stuck in Ethan's situation.

"Yeah, we can go somewhere after that movie," Logan said as he stood up. While began scanning his iPad for movie showings, Ethan paid for the food and herded him out of the restaurant. "Immortals comes on again in 20 minute. We
ll get there with time to spare." Logan switch off his device to save the battery and began walking toward the theater. "I think a hookup or two would be nice."

Fifteen minutes later, they were at the theater and seated in the middle of the back row. "Handsome actors, loosely clothed warriors, and a ton of violence... I think I'll like this movie!"

Ethan simply shook his head and laughed as Logan continued to jokingly guilt trip him. Normally it’d still sting despite the lighthearted air around them, but since this is the Cajun and not any other friend, it didn’t bother the twenty year-old much. “Good lord I have so much gas in me right now, and I didn’t even eat any beans,” he grinned, rubbing his stomach, “It’s been so long since I laughed this hard. I really don’t know why Chris seems to not like you as much.” Sad really. But it’s his little brother’s loss, not Logan’s definitely.

“Do you even need to get a degree?” asked Ethan with a smirk. Suddenly realizing that he might’ve been a bit too offensive with his question, he spoke quickly soon after, hoping he could clarify what he just said before he’s done quite the damage. “I mean, no offense, but won’t you just go take over the family business or anything? Or are you planning on starting your own company then eventually buy out your parents?” At least that’s how those business dramas go right? Then again there’s this whole revenge-suspense element in there that he’s fairly sure is inexistent in the Cajun’s life.

It didn’t take long for them to get to the movie theaters, and by the time they get there, Ethan’s stomach’s rumbling again already. The scent of popcorns and hotdogs really are amazing. (It made a rather loud growl that sent a healthy pink glow onto the brunette’s cheeks). “Of course they are,” nodded Ethan sagely, nudging the younger boy slightly before grabbing his phone and typing in two numbers. “Jeremy and Nicolai. Jeremy’s part of the basketball team while Nicolai’s the president of the theater group back in UVM. If you don’t fancy them much, tell me.”

“You get the tickets and I’ll get the popcorn then?”

“Nice tent you’re pitching there Logan,” Ethan teased as the credits ended and the lights came back on. Whether or not there really was a tent in Logan’s pants is subject to debate, but heaven knows the brunette wouldn’t really care. He took another handful of the remaining popcorn and winked, speaking with his mouth (half) full, “How’d you like it? Other than the beefy guys advertising everything to the camera of course? And are you planning on going somewhere else after?”

Logan shrugged. He didn't know why he and Chris weren't very fond of each other. Maybe it's because their personalities don't click like his does with Ethan? Who knows? Logan wasn't really concerned though. He was just glad that he and Chris didn't hate each other or anything like that.

"Well, yeah, I'm going to inherit the family business, but I need to know what I'm doing when I do get in charge," he began to say. "I wont inherit it until my dad retires anyway, so I have plenty of time to get an education and maybe start a business of my own if I wanted."

Logan smirked when Ethan mentioned the basketball player. "Oooh, an athlete," he said with a grin as he got in line at the ticket booth. "Yeah, I'll grab the tickets. Meet me inside, okay?"

By the time the movie was over, Logan wanted to cheer, but he contained his excitement so he wouldn't look like a fool. "Ethan, you know I'm not the type to go camping in a movie theater," he began saying as the credits rolled, "but that movie was fucking awesome!" He stood up and began stretching. After sitting down for a couple of hours, his muscles were screaming for some movement. "I don't have anywhere planned," he mentioned, "but didn't you want me help you find something for Andi?"

“Ooh. Sounds like you’ll be living the rich bachelor life for quite a while. Can’t say I’m not jealous,” laughed Ethan as they walked towards the movie theater, “Unless of course you plan on getting married early. Which by then you should know that I demand an invite. Else I’ll kill you in your sleep.” For a moment, the older boy tried his best to imitate a menacing face. Though a combination of him not really having one and being around the Cajun meant that it was a massive fail. His boisterous laugh only shredded his already lost dignity further. “But at least you already have a plan.” Oh how Ethan would kill for it. (A plan, but it wouldn’t hurt to be an heir either). Sure he’s taking English lit at the moment like his parents did, but he could honestly not imagine himself in their shoes. He told himself he’d just get in UVM and decide in the middle of it all, but he’s almost past his second year. Soon it would be too late, or so he thinks. “How old is your dad anyway?”

His smile didn’t fade upon hearing Logan’s reaction. “Check your phone in a bit. Forwarded Jeremy’s number and a photo of him. Trust me you won’t be disappointed,” said Ethan with a wink, “He has this thing about his shoes though, but I’ll let you find that out for yourself.”

“Mickey Rourke is truly the best villain there is,” nodded Ethan, though the other movie he’s watched with Mickey Rourke in it is probably Iron Man2. Oh and there’s Expendables too, but then he wasn’t that much of a villain in that one. (Or is he?).

“Oh good. I was afraid you’d forget.” He’d need the Cajun’s help to make sure his apology gift doesn’t steer much of romance as much as it would be of ‘I’m sorry’. “Want to try the bookstore over to your left first?”

Yes, Easy A’s ‘Pocket Full of Sunshine’ card is still the first thing on his list at the moment.

"Don't even begin to talk about marriage," Logan said jokingly, "I don't even know where it's legal at anymore." He crossed his arms and began thinking about the future. Marriage never really crossed his mind, but he definitely saw it as a possibility. "My father's in his 40s," he said moments later before picking up his iPhone and waiting anxiously for the message from Ethan. When it finally came, Logan nodded approvingly. "Very handsome. I'll text him in a bit."

"That was hot and exciting. Just the way I like it."

When the movie concluded and the two left the theater, Logan walked into the bookstore Ethan had pointed out. Instantly, he walked to the section containing the gift cards. "Hey, look, it's the one from the movie!" the Cajun shouted enthusiastically as he picked the card up and opened it to listen to it's music. From there, he mimicked the scene from the movie where the main character opened and closed the card repeatedly. "If she has a sense of humor she'll probably get a kick out of this."

Ethan simply shook his head and gave his friend a pat on the back. “Oh I’m pretty sure by that time, it’ll be legal everywhere,” he said reassuringly. While the brunette’s not really all that big into politics – they’re confusing, messy and incredibly boring, at least that’s how he sees it – rights for everyone is something he’s rather big on. Comes with the whole ‘part of a meta family’ despite not being one, he says. “And I’m pretty sure if I really want to marry you, I’d find a way. I mean, come on. If it means being the one who’ll get all your money in the event that you’d die – accidental or not – how can I refuse?” he teased, giving Logan a sly grin. “Yes, I’m a golddigger, out and proud. Better watch yourself around me Mr. Castille.”

Once in the bookstore, he proceeded to look through the aisles, scanning through the trinkets and little odd gift-y things they had. Unfortunately, they all seemed a little too ‘girly’ for someone like Andi, that Ethan had to put them all away. Until Logan found that card his mind has been raving about ever since anyway.

“What are the chances!” Ethan almost shouted in glee, hugging Logan as he held the card in his hands, “This is amazing dude. Extremely.” He played with the card a bit, not unlike what Emma Stone did in that iconic movie. “Thanks so much for helping me,” he added, grabbing a new card (the one in front probably has a nearly depleted battery) and walking towards the cashier, “Anywhere else you need to be after this? I can drive you.” Least he can do, he says.
