"Done deal." Ben grinned before laughing at Cobalt's sarcastic laughter. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Kick my brilliant ideas down, why don't you." He teased, bumping the other man's shoulder with one hand.
Had Ben known that Cobalt could read him better than he could read the other man, Ben would have been embarrassed for himself. He thought he had full control of his expressions. Then again, Ben was convinced that Cobalt was the more observant of the two so it made sense that the man could see his tics. He'd also be quite flattered that Cobalt was looking at him enough to actually read his expressions so well.
"Well, it was one of those spur of the moment things." Ben shrugged. "Andrew and I had saved up since we were younger. We kind of always wanted to go somewhere together." Ben sounded like such a dork and he knew it. But eventhough Andrew was considerably younger than he was, the twelve year gap didn't stop them from being close and wanting to do things together. Hell, even now, their Sunday dinners were still the highlight of Ben's week.
"Um...I think we've both been to Florida. And Cancun when we were younger. With our family. I think that's it." He tried to remember anywhere else he might have gone but those were the major places he remembered ever going.
Ben so wanted Cobalt to be okay with the idea of him holding his hand. The psychologist didn't know Cobalt's past well enough for him to gauge how serious the fears were so he decided not to hold Cobalt's hand at all. At least not now. He couldn't risk it. So he pulled his hand off Cobalt's and ran it over his hair and leaned against it on the back of the couch.
"Wow, that's a lot of jobs." Ben chuckled, nodding in understanding. Though he didn't have to work that hard, he understood why other people had to. There was no condescension in Ben when he spoke to people who struggled for a living. He respected them so much. "Well, I did a lot of burger-flipping during high school. And I worked at my parents' restaurants for awhile before concentrating on college. I immediately set up shop after graduation with my dad's help." Ben nodded.
"You delivered pizza huh." Ben grinned teasingly. He shook his head laughing. "I'm sorry." Ben couldn't believe the thought cropping up in his mind. It was obvious he'd been around Andrew too much. Sure, keep telling yourself that, Ben.
He leaned against the back of the couch and looked down to Jules who had promptly gone to sleep. Ben made a face at how cute she looked but didn't dare touch her for fear she would wake up. "Maybe I should go. It's getting late." He whispered and stood up. Truthfully, he was half hoping Cobalt would make him stay but he'd been imposing on the man long enough.
[OOC: Wrap? I wanna start a new one. Soon. Whenever you want ^^ Like even right after this finishes ^^]
