Odion was absolutely fuming as he left the apartment premises, thinking of how difficult and unbelievable Rhett could be. One minute he was falling all over him and the next, he was practically being slapped in the face. Surely the blonde had to know the effect he had on the younger boy. Odion had always looked up to him, always strived to impress him and nearly be like him, but it just didn’t work out. He wanted to hate the blonde right at this very moment, but he couldn’t. Just like how he wanted to say good riddance when he left Europe. Odi had almost reached the street when Rhett decided to yell at him.
”I know what you said that day.” Odion froze, and not because he had stopped time. He turned and watched Rhett running after him, and the redhead could feel his heart pause. He feared the worst, and worry was written all over his face. He wanted to yell at Rhett, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. Not when he was admitting to feeling the same way. Odi wasn’t thinking about how he affected Rhett’s powers, he was thinking about how the blonde needed to work up the courage to come to the conclusion.
“You couldn’t have said that up there?” He asked the other boy, pointing towardshis their balcony. Odion had wanted to say it firmly, angrily, but it just didn’t come out that way. He certainly wasn’t flirting or joking either, it was a sort of helpless question, like he just couldn’t understand why Rhett had to keep playing games with him. “I’m sorry, I just, ugh,” he paused, looking over Rhett, “you’re, this, it’s confusing.” There, that’s what he meant to say.
It still hadn’t really hit the ginger that Rhett loved him back.
