Jalen sighed, "Yeah, makes sense, I was only joking around, what with you being stuck here and what not." She said, frowning a little. Something was getting lost in the translation. "Maybe I should stop talking," she offered with a bit of a chuckled, playing with the knuckles on her hands as she wondered what else to say. "You likes guns and such, figures you'd like other things related to guns..." She tried, before mentally kicking herself. She was truly only making things worse.
She was thankful he kept talking about hunting though, talking about death during Christmas made her sad. "Oh yeah? That does sound like fun," she said with a smile. "You should take me some time, after I practice my shot a bit more of course," she said with light laughter. Jalen was actually serious about trying hunting though, she wasn't a big animal person. How could anyone be who ate them?
"Maybe you could ask him about it if you're interested in serving, just throwing it out there," she said. Jalen was just trying to be helpful. She liked giving people good ideas and helping them explore their strengths. If his uncle had been there once before, perhaps he could help him get there in the present.
Jalen glanced at Ulrich with a knowing smirk. "I don't want to know what you were thinking about," she said in surrender. The blonde was not interested in what teen boys did behind closed doors. She would rather think highly of someone that see them in a different kind of... light? Situation? She shuddered, trying to shake the thoughts away. "It's good coffee though, promise," she said, using her foot to shut the laptop, sipping at the luxurious drink.
Finishing off the drink, she placed both mugs in the sink, and laughed at the boy's excitement. "Hey, wait up!" She said, closing and locking the door behind her. Jalen made herself comfy on the floor in front of the TV, a controller in her hand already. It had been right next to her, she might as well get her game face on. "I must warn you though, I didn't follow you to lose," she said, a smirk on her face. Ulrich was in for quite the surprise.
The game was set up in an instant and she looked up at him from her spot. "What're we betting?" She asked as he picked his guy. Jalen looked back and selected a dude with a shot gun and hit 'A'. "Game on," she said, giving the game her full attention. Once the characters were deployed, she was off on the hunt for him. Shot guns were useless long range, but if she could sneak up on him, he would die from the impact.
