Belle sat infront of her laptop, one hand sitting in her lap holding her cellphone while the other grasping tightly onto the mouse attached to the laptop. Amelia sat on the window sill, silence overtaking the two of them as Belle starred at the screen.

It was open to that stupid gossip blog, "Rumor has it..." and Belle couldn't believe what she was reading. The writer had sent out a personal message to Belle and at first Belle didn't want to believe it, but her mind got the best of her.

She quietly read it outloud again for what seemed like the hundredth time, "Belle better keep an eye on her boy; he was seen making goo goo eyes at a new chickadee recently." Belle couldn't believe what she was reading and she didn't know how to approach this without seeming upset, she just wanted to know the truth.

Looking down at her cellphone she quickly opened a new message and began texting Lucah. She knew he had been busy lately in the library studying for school, same as she had been, but she chose to do most of her studying in her room. She knew with Lucah being in the library she would be distracted by him and his beauty so she did what was best for her grades and stayed away. Making their main form of communication, texting.

Is it true, darling?

Was all the poor bird girl could write, she looked up at Amelia and quietly called the bird over, before quietly crying to herself. She didn't know what she would do if Lucah was moving on with this brunette. She loved him so much, and was terrified he no longer loved her.

So quietly she sat and cried, music playing softly in the background from her laptop as she sat and waited for Lucah to text her back.

Lucah, being the busy man that he was, was again stuck in the library studying. Last time he had been distracted, he was hoping he wouldn't be this time. He was studying like crazy, desperately working on his grades to prove to his dick head father that he could make it on his own. Without being a dictator.

Well that hope was lost when his phone buzzed quietly on the table beside him. With him and Belle both being so busy with studying, they hadn't seen each other much, but they still texted. And he'd call her every other night for a short chat. The last library trip had been bad and made Rumor's blog. Damn low life Rumor was at it again. Not only busting on Belle but making an innocent conversation with another girl into something it wasn't. Lucah may have flirted a bit, but that's how he was. It was the old Lucah that would have left Belle in the dust for a girl like Naomi.

But he had changed. He loved Belle.

When he flipped his phone open he smiled seeing that it would be a seemingly pleasant distraction from the girl he loved. Until he read the message. Then he was just confused. Was what true?

He shot a text back trying to think about what he had done.

Is what true? He sent and tapped his fingers on the desk as he waited for her response. What had he done this time to make her upset enough to question his trust? Lucah prayed that it wasn't about Rumor because if it was...he was not going to be happy.

Of all people she should trust him the most...right?

Belle had stood up and began pacing the bedroom as she waited for Lucah to message her back. She hated this waiting game, and wished she hadn't messaged him in the first place. Maybe this was something she should have asked him in person, maybe hiding behind a text message was a cowardly way. But with how busy they had been she didn't know how else to reach him.

Well... That was a lie.

She knew he was in the library, and she knew that she would have found him there. So she was being a coward. A huge coward. She didn't want to have to deal with this in person. She wanted to hide behind technology. Where she wouldn't have to see his reaction, where she didn't have to see his face fall for her not trusting him.

She was being a coward. How could she approach him through a text message about her not trusting him. And how could she not trust him? He hadn't done anything wrong. But that Rumor. That stupid, stupid Rumor and the blog. He had been seen chatting up and flirting with a brunette girl.

When she heard her phone ring with Lucah's ring tone she darted for it as quickly as she could, almost tripping over herself in the process. She opened the text, and knew Lucah would play dumb. Belle looked down at the text message for a few seconds, as she thought out what to write back. Something that wouldn't upset him...

I don't want to believe it, and I don't want you to think I do not trust you. But that stupid Rumor, and that stupid site... I love you darling, I really do. But tell me it's not true and I will believe you. You're not running off with a brunette are you?[/size]

Belle cringed a bit as she wrote the question, she knew could either make or break this relationship depending on how Lucah reacted. And pressed send.

Now she had to wait again.

Lucah went back to work while he waited. It was difficult working when he was thinking about the question. Is it true? What was that supposed to mean? He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose between his index finger and his thumb. Damn drama. It always seemed to find him. He wondered why she bothered asking him through a text in the first place!

She knew he was at the library, she knew if she wanted him, he'd be there in a second. Or she should have known that...

He didn't want to think about it though. It was probably no big deal. It probably wasn't even about Rumor.

Ha who was he kidding. As much as he wanted to believe it himself, he didn't. It was about Rumor and Naomi, her response answered it all. He read it with no shock in his expression, just anger and hurt. She didn't trust him, if she had, she wouldn't be asking about Naomi and she wouldn't believe Rumor over him.

A flash of the time he broke his last phone went through his mind. She had asked if he was a virgin then...

Maybe that was what this was about!

Lucah had been honest with her and told her he wasn't and that he had done things he regretted. Now she thought he would do the same thing, though he had told her that he was different, that things with them were different. She was just mad that he wasn't a virgin like she was!

Lucah's nostrils flared and he typed back quickly, taking a few deep breaths to calm his anger. I'm glad you think so highly of me Belle. To believe that ridiculous blog over the person you're supposed to love the most. For you to even have to ask proves how much you love me and trust me. He sent the message and realized he hadn't denied it, so he sent another.

And no. I was not running off with Naomi, apparently I'm too much of a man whore for you now.

His heart fell as he sent the message and he shut the book in front of him. Lucah put his head in his hands and sighed.

Belle sat there and knew that Lucah would respond immediately. She knew he wouldn't be happy, and she knew that what she had done was extremely stupid. She was being a coward. Being afraid, and trying to take the easiest route, but she was being stupid. She loved Lucah, and she knew that he loved her too, and she had no reason to not trust him. No matter what that stupid Rumor said.

How could she even let that stupid site make her think this way? How could she let that stupid Rumor make her think that she couldn't trust Lucah? Was it because of what they had discussed that one night in his room? About him not being a virgin?

Was she that afraid of being replaced? Of him leaving her for someone prettier, smarter and more experienced than her?

Hell yes she was. But she knew she shouldn't be going after Lucah because of her insecurities.

That was it, she is insecure. Very, very insecure.

Stay in the library darling, I'll be there soon.[/size]

Belle sent the quick text before throwing on a sweater and running out her dorm room towards the library.
