Waking up to the buzzing phone on his dresser at promptly nine in the morning, Jin squinted his eyes at the sunshine bleeding in through the blinds and seeping into the room. A familiar classical melody came into his mind as he listened for birds chirping and a river nearby, but all that he could hear was the snoring of this roommate. He slumped his shoulders in disappointment, and went to drag his body out of bed, bringing his top blanket with him halfway across the room until he came to terms with the relative warmth in the room, and threw it off, leaving it in the middle of the room. Scratching his head, he mussed up his hair, and tore off his shirt, throwing it on his bed, or at least as close to it as he could, and then headed for the cereal or any breakfast his fingers would first pry on.
His fingers brushed against a small rectangular box, and he grasped for it, shining it in the light to make out the words on it. It happened to be tea, blueberry black tea no less. The thought enticed his senses, and decidedly, he went to grab a cup and fill it with water, and then stick the thing in the microwave for three minutes, or until it would boil on its own. Meanwhile, he scanned over all the things he could make for breakfast. He had cereal, but that was so run-of-the-mill. It was a Saturday morning, and to make it a perfect morning, he'd have to start it right, and to start it right, what would be more appropriate than a complete breakfast? Or at least, that's what the commercials on the television always said.
Okay so he had tea, and now..he could have cereal...or he could have Pop-Tarts. Okay, come on, it wasn't even a deal-breaker; he didn't have to think twice about it. He grabbed the box of Pop-Tarts and broke open a package of two, sticking them in the toaster provided to their dorm mates. He was just minutes away from one of the yummiest breakfasts he'd been able to have in quite a while.
