Late Christmas (Rayne)

Winter break had recently come to an end. For the holidays, Logan flew down to New Orleans and met up with his family, who he missed very much. His mother and father were doing fine and all seemed well down in the south. He missed the warmer weather and the better cooking, but what he missed the most was still up north.

Logan arrived back in Vermont on the third of January, but before returning to school, he spent a few hours shopping so he and Rayne could exchange gifts like they had planned. They both knew that during the holidays they wouldn't be able to see each other, so they decided to have a late Christmas together.

Once his roommates finally left to do God knows what, Logan began to prepare. First, he straightened everything up. Anything that wasn't where it was supposed to be was put in its place. If he didn't know where it went, he threw it under someone's bed to keep it out of sight. It wasn't the best way to clean up, but it was the quickest. Next, he put on some nice, but not too fancy clothing. A simple pair of black slacks and a silky, red button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up was chosen. He also put on a black belt with a modest, but shiny silver buckle and a black tie to pull it all together.

He set up a tiny fiber optic Christmas tree and plugged it into an outlet so it could shine its constantly changing colors and give the room a cheery glow. After putting few gifts he bought under the tree, he sprayed on a little of his favorite cologne and took a seat on his bed. Ranye should arrive at any moment.

He could believe how happy he was to back at school. He loved his family, they always understood him. But they decided to go to Hawaii in Winter. It was a massacre. You couldn't go to the beach because you might freeze to death. But England was cool. Unfortunately not legal yet but the night life looked fun. But even though it was a great vacation, some lonelyness sank in his mind. This was the longest Rayne and Logan had been apart from eachother since they had met. Luckily when in the UK he was able to get a Christmas present made for Logan. It would remind him of Rayne, and he would be able to keep him close to him whenever.

He had gotten back two days ago, but Logan only got back yesturday. This meant that his would be the first time they would see each other in weeks. Logan did mention a 'Late Christmas'. Rayne had never heard of one before but in this circumstance, he totally understood. In his dorm while the others went about doing whatever, he got ready. He wanted to look nice. A white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a black casual vest put over the top, some black tube jeans and white converse shoes. His shirt was untucked yet straight with his collar out. His oppinion, he looked smoking. But would Logan feel the same way. With a small box in his hand, he got the dorm he had visited before.

He checked his breath, made sure his cologne was still effective and just wanted everything to be perfect. Raising a hand, he knocked on the door twice. Loud enough he thought. There was another reason he was worried. With telekinesis, the strain always hurt his head. But now, even when not using his power he get savage headaches that last for minutes at a time. When they come, his loses control of his power. He didn't want Logan to see it, but then again, since Rayne will be distracted by his hunky boyfriend, it might now happen.

Hearing a light knock at the door, Logan jumped up and approached it. He stopped momentarily in arms reach of the doorknob and straightened his tie. After taking a deep breath, he opened the door to greet Rayne. Instead of saying hello, Logan wrapped his arms around his boyfriend and gave him a gentle, welcoming kiss. "Come on in," he then said as he held the door open and motioned for Rayne to walk in. Closing the door behind them, he pointed to his little fiber optic Christmas tree. "You can go ahead and put it under there," he said referring to the box Rayne came in with.

"So how was your time away from school?" Logan sat back down on his bed and patted a spot next to him, non-verbally asking Rayne to sit down next to him. "You visited your family back in the UK, right?" he asked curiously. If their relationship worked out the way he wanted it to, Logan would be more than happy to travel and visit Rayne's family. Who could deny a trip to the UK anyway? He'd even be willing to introduce him to his own family down in Louisiana. Plans for summer vacations combined with family visits began to fill his head. Taking trips to New Orleans, New York, and the UK sounded like an excellent way to spend a couple of months. The differences between the two's families would be vast, but Logan figured it would most likely be both an enlightening and interesting experience.

Shifting his train of though from the future to the present, he looked to the presents under the tree. Logan hoped they were appropriate, especially since he and Ranye have only dated for a few weeks. He had three presents placed under the tree before Rayne arrived. Two were poorly wrapped while one looked professionally wrapped. Deciding to break the ice for the gift opening, he grabbed a present that was wrapped in green paper and had a red bow on top. Logan wrapped it himself, which is why it looked like a child wrapped it. Very rarely did he have to wrap his own gifts, but he figured that it would be more meaningful for him to... or something like that. Under the wrapping was a black graphic t-shirt with Spider-Man on it.

Logan's first present was more of a gag gift, but he thought it would be a good way for Ranye to remember how much of a dork his boyfriend is on the inside. Also, Logan thought the way Rayne did all his flips in the gym was very Spider-Man-like. He handed over the gift and waited anxiously for it to be opened. "Enjoy!"

Nervously standing at the door, he waited. What if things were awkward? Like as if they had a spark but time away made it disappear. Or what if Logan met someone else over the Christmas break? Hot guys around the New Orleans and then he forgot about the guitarist back in Vermont. But when the door opened, Rayne snapped out of his twisted train of thought and then smiled at Logan. The only greeting that came from his lips was a kiss, and a huggin embrace. Disappearing spark? God Rayne, stop being crazy. The spark was definitely there.

Taking a seat after putting the box under the cutest tree in the world, his eyes looked to Rayne. This was good, and he seemed interested in how his break was, particularly the UK. "It was good. I mean, the family thing was kind of a drag but it is amazing there. What about you over in Louisiana?". asked Rayne as he rested his hand on Logan's leg. He smiled towards him. God, he had missed him so much. He just kept touching him so he wouldn't go away. Rayne leant forwards and planted a kiss on Logan's cheek, just to get close to the guy. But then, it was present time.

It was Rayne's turn first. He felt bad because he only got Logan one present, but it was a meanigful present so that should make up for it. Rayne gave him a warm smile and then untied the box, letting the wrapping unravel to expose a shirt. A Spiderman shirt. At first, he was a bit confused. But then he remembered that Logan loved comic books. It was like his present, something to remember their boyfriend by. He smiled largely as he put the shirt to the side and hugged Logan tight. A gag gift it may be, but the meaning behind it was beautiful. Holding him, he said "Thankyou so much baby". Parting, he looked to his present by the tree.

Without moving a muscle, the small box hovered from under the tree and over to Logan. It was the box. In the UK, Rayne had a cross melded from the design of his tatoo. It was put onto a silver chain and on the back had 'always' engraved onto it. He was lucky it was finished in time. It was in a small box wrapped in hand-wrapped blue paper with ribbons over it. He so hoped that he liked it. "This is something, to remind you of me".

Rayne's touch and closeness was a very foreign but welcoming feeling after not being able to see him in person for so long. Logan couldn't accurately describe the feelings in words, but it felt like something along the lines of a tickle of sheer pleasure. The Cajun had to compose himself before he spoke again. "I had a lot of fun. My family really knows how to party it up on Christmas and New Year's Eve."

Seeing that Rayne liked his gift, Logan smirked. He was happy that Rayne found some meaning behind it that made it special. Next, it was Logan's turn to open Rayne's gift. He was excited. He put on his best "kid on Christmas morning" face as he accepted Rayne gift and began carefully peeling off the wrapping paper. When it was finally unwrapped, he was in awe. "Rayne! It's beautiful!" he said loudly as he examined it from all angles. Once he read what was engraved on the back, he began to blush. "It's absolutely amazing," Logan said while putting it around his neck, "I love it!" It took him a moment to realize that it was the same as Rayne's tattoo, and when he did realize it, the gift felt even more special. "This is probably the best gift I've ever gotten. Thank you."

After embracing his boyfriend in a thankful hug and giving up a loving kiss, Logan grabbed his "serious" present that was professionally wrapped. He decided to leave the other gift that he personally wrapped for last because it was even more of a gag gift than the first one he gave Rayne. The new gift he handed Rayne contained a silver Rolex watch that was fairly valuable. It wasn't the most expensive watch out there, but it was pricey. Buying it was no problem for Logan since he had a little help from his parents. They even helped him pick the watch out. Together they chose something that was expensive enough to say "I love you" without going overboard, but the idea of going overboard to the Castille family was way different than what others would think. Logan hoped the gift wasn't too extreme for the occasion.

Every cent was worth seeing the look on Logan's face. The guy's jaw nearly dropped, and Rayne moved closer to him. His eyes just lit up like the fourth of July. Rayne put his arm around his waist. Logan loved it and Rayne loved the fact. It was so - romantic. He thanked him so much and Rayne gave him a grin and looked him in the eyes. "It's okay babe. Apart from spiderman wear, your the best gift". He then gave Logan and kiss. This was so nice. It was right. It was secretly everything that Rayne ever wanted. He never wanted the prince charming, he never wanted the Zac Efron romance but this was it. A quirky relationship where everything just clicks. That conversations can last for hours and constant cuteness. He found that in this relationship. This was the best first love ever.

It was Rayne's turn again. He felt bad because he only got the one present, but this was probably just Logan going nuts. He is always enthusiastic. It is always cute. Rayne just didn't want it to look like he isn't as into the relationship as Logan with one presents compared to three. That could just be paranoia. Getting the box, he unwrapped it slowly before opening the box. His heart nearly sank. A Rolex! They cost like a thousand bucks and he felt so bad, but still it was an adorable gift. He was completely gobsmacked.

"Oh my god, Logan. Thankyou so much. You shouldn't have". He was so amazed and took it out of its box. With an easy clipping mechanism, he put it on slowly. It was a great and comfortable fit, and looking Logan he hugged him. He could barely smile he was so shocked, but it was so sweet. "Thankyou so much babe". His hand then slid down Logan's front as he kissed him in gratitude. Spiderman and watches, what else could Logan possibly do?

Seeing that Rayne enjoyed his second gift, Logan walked to the tree and grabbed his third and final present. By the looks of it, it was obvious that Logan wrapped it himself. In other words, it was wrapped poorly. He picked it up and handed it to Rayne with a devious grin on his face. The Cajun bought the gift last minute at the mall with a bit of a naughty intent. Inside the present was an assorted pair of superhero undies. Characters included were Batman, Superman, The Flash, and the Green Lantern. As dorky was it was, Logan thought Rayne would look sexy wearing the kind of underwear he always sported. As much as the Cajun liked superheroes, he found their logos to be super hot when worn by handsome studs.

Logan sat next to his boyfriend while he waited for him to open the present. He hoped Rayne would some humor in it and enjoy it as much as he did. "You may think this last one is a bit weird, but you know me, I have my quirks."
