Liam and Logan were almost hidden completely by the pile of books on the table in front of them. Any other college student might have spent their day off from class catching up or sleep or running out for beer for the night. But the twins had never been typical students. Time off from class gave them a chance to visit the Hammel library, which they felt had better a better selection than either the community college or the university.
Although they were studying psychology, today most of the books dealt with the subject of literature. They were planning to get their American Lit final out of the way early in the semester so they would have the time to pursue other areas of study.
They had also brought a few fliers to hang up around the school, offering tutoring services. Although their fellow college mates were more willing to pay for someone to just do the homework without bothering to actually learn anything, the brothers were hoping some of the students here at Hammel would feel differently.
Lunch break? Liam asked, starting to pile up the books they had already been through.
Sounds good, Logan said. Let’s try that new Chinese place?
The twins smiled slightly, knowing that they had both been craving sweet and sour chicken for the past day. Being gestalts sometimes there was no need to say something out loud for their other half to already know it.
Carrying an armload of books back to the shelves, Logan stumbled and almost dropped a book or two onto one of the students. Sorry he said to the girl. Liam, who was right behind him with his own stack of books stopped short to avoid hitting his brother.
Looks like the library is popular today he commented.
That’s always a pleasant surprise. Logan added.
It’s nice to see this place still gets some use. It’s nice to see this place still gets some use.
