Out of Her Mind. Be Back in 5 - Open

After angering some junior girls by splashing water on their apparently just washed, straightened/curled/teased hair, Haley got bored and went to the pond to play with the fishes. Laying flat on her belly, she swirled her fingers in the water, attracting some fishes, and driving others away.

But the activity grew tiresome quite quickly and Haley found herself bored again. No classes, no homework, no training, it was getting much too boring for the super strength girl in Hammel. Henry was busy with his classes so there was no way she would be bothering him any time soon.

Which was why she was headed towards the training rooms anyway. She just needed to blow off steam. Hopefully the silly security guard was not on patrol. She wanted to smash things and she did not need anybody bothering her.

Finding an empty training room, she locked herself in and looked around to find something to break. Not finding anything but an empty desk and three chairs, she sighed and grabbed the chair, turning it upside down and started pulling the screws out one by one.

It was better than doing nothing.

Estelle actually had training today, but her trainer had been sick with the flu and had encouraged her to do some practicing on her own. Which was more than a little terrifying. She had put it off for as long as possible, but some shred of academic self-guilt compelled her to at least give it a try for one day. So she trudged reluctantly to the training rooms, looking for an open one to use. Finding one, she sat down on the floor and pulled out a paper clip-an innocuous object that probably couldn't kill anything in her hands- and moved it about, unfolding it at her will, careful to regulate her breathing.

She started when someone opened the door and slammed it shut, and she looked up to see a small girl lock the door and sit down and proceed to take a part a chair. Estelle stared at her, but realized that the small girl probably hadn't seen her, since she was sitting behind the table. So she pushed herself to her feet.

"Hi," She greeted with a smile, "Whatcha doing?"

She had managed to unscrew two of the four legs of the chair when a voice spooked from behind. Haley's arms flailed all over the place before she jerked one of the legs of the chair in the direction of the voice. "What the f-" she gasped when she saw an older girl behind the desk with a smile.

"Wh-where'd you come from?" She turned her head slightly from side to side, the chair leg still pointed at the older girl.

Estelle pulled an apologetic face as the other girl jumped in response. “I’m sorry!” She said, inching around the table and raising her hands in surrender, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. I was sitting over there.” She pointed to where she’d been sitting, “I was kinda out of the way.”

She sat a little ways away from the girl, crossing her legs and resting her chin in her hands, “My name’s Estelle. Yours?”

She eyed the almost dismantled chair hesitantly, “…What are you doing?”

Tilting her head lightly when the girl started apologising, Haley lowered her makeshift weapon and narrowed her eyes.

"You hide well. Hardly saw you." Haley looked thoughtful before she copied Estelle's move and sat on the floor, continuing her handiwork.

"I'm Haley. And...I'm unscrewing the bolts on the chair." She gave Estelle a "What else would I be doing?" look.

Estelle raised an eyebrow at the smaller girl’s explanation of what she was doing, but she also couldn’t help a smile. She should tell Haley that unscrewing the bolts on a chair was probably vandalism. At the very least destruction of school property. But somehow, Estelle suspected Haley already knew that and didn’t care. And besides, Estelle was working on being a little more spontaneous.

Maybe if she practiced being more spontaneous and fun, it would be easier to talk feelings with Henry.

“Fair enough. Can I see?” Estelle smiled lightly, sitting next to the girl, “I have to practice my power and stuff for homework, so this should totally count.” She held her hand out and squinted slightly. She twisted her fingers and the screw slowly slid out on its own accord. She was getting much better.

Grinning slightly sheepishly, she shrugged at Haley, “What do ya think?”

Haley moved slightly to accommodate Estelle as she flexed her fingers once more only to get distracted by the older girl's display of her powers. "Whoa," she whispered, looking up at her newfound friend before looking back down to her handiwork.

She then realised she was practically fangirling at Estelle so she shrugged. "I've seen better." Haley screwed the chair back together again and bit her lower lip, wondering what else could do. "Wait'll you see this." She grinned and grabbed the leg of the tightly screwed chair, bending it into a crookedly formed S-shape.

"Ha, ha?" She pointed to her handiwork with a smug grin.
