Name: Aruja Milivic
Nicknames: Ruja, Big Mill
Age: Seventeen
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers:
Liquidification
This is the first part of his power which makes it possible for him to use his powers. The way that he uses oxygen to affect gravity is through his power to liquify himself. He can turn himself into a man version of highly oxygenated water. Basically, he uses the oxygen that is typically around him on Earth and combine them with the hydrogen and carbon properties found in his skin. Human bodies are made up of water for the most part besides carbon. His skin can absorb oxygen and turn him into COOH2 which is basically a really thick version of oxygen.
Aruja can in fact be harmed even while being liquid man. But that doesn't mean that the way to harm him is easy to figure out. He can be easily frozen while in this state. Due to his chemical make up he can be set on fire but that won't do much damage to him as the oxygenated water wouldn't evaporate as fast as normal water or even boil. But it is oxygen so he would catch on fire. Aruja's main weakness is containment. If he can be put into a leak proof containment apparatus of some sort he'll be trapped and he needs a steady flow of air or oxygen around him to stay liquidified.
In terms of offense and other interesting abilities Aruja has plenty. For starters, he can slip into places that some others could not have. He can turn his body thin or into a big ball and roll around. He can slip through the eye of a needle as he has complete control of whatever shape he takes while being liquid man. Aruja's main offense in slamming into things with full force as he could just reassemble himself so he has no fear of smashing himself into just about anything.
There are a numerous amount of side effects for this power depending on the situation. For starters, if he stays in his liquid form for a period of one hour or more he'll vomit a few times once he goes back to normal. Anytime he goes liquid and comes out of his liquid state he'll require some sort of liquid for drinking due to him constantly needing it in order to be able to go liquid. His preference is water for drinking but soda and juice can suffice. Although, if he drinks too many carbonated drinks he'll temporarily lose his liquid powers for a couple of days.

General Appearance:
Aruja is tall. He looks like a pretty boy but the sad part is that he isn't. He simply isn't a person that likes to be bothered. He dresses in basketball types of clothing most times. His favorite jerseys to wear would be either from the NBA teams of the Dallas Mavericks or Phoenix Suns. His favorite idol jerseys to wear would be Dirk Nowinski of the Mavericks and Steve Nash of the Suns.
When he goes into his liquid form Aruja looks very much different. His hair color remains the same while his body turns into a purple colored liquid. His voice changes into a rippling type of a voice. His facial expressions are hard to read with his liquefied expressions that are really hard to read.
Personality:
Not a people‘s person - Aruja is a very quiet person. He likes to keep to himself. The way he sees it if he never talks to a person then he doesn’t have a chance of making them angry. Don’t expect to find him at big parties or in large crowds. He despises gangs, not because some of them happen to do bad things, instead, it’s just that gangs generate a lot of “people” attention. This behavior only seems to intensify when eating comes around. When he is trying to eat he doesn’t want anyone talking to him; it’s a major peeve. He also has a major issue with people who talk during movies, television shows and especially when he’s trying to listen to music.
Extremely humble - The best way to bring out Aruja’s humbleness is to see him on a basketball court. The kid is a shooting maniac. He makes more shots than he misses most times and yet he’s still humble to anyone he’s playing against. He has respect for his elders, teachers, authority figures and even more so with anyone who was ever in any type of military service. He actually wants to join the military someday.
Basketball is his life - As outlined in his history, Aruja has an absolute love and bond to the game of basketball. The mechanics, the strategies, the shooting, the shot blocking, the stealing and all other things that have anything to do with basketball are things that arouses his love senses. He spends hour after hour practicing and shooting around. His favorite part of the game is shooting three point shots. He hopes to get on a basketball team and perhaps show others what he can do on the court. He does have a weakness in his playing and that’s getting fancy. He is well capable of dunking the ball but he doesn’t want to. He likes to take the game back to the bare basics of just dribbling, ball control, running a simple but effective defense and shooting around. He doesn’t play the game for the fancy moves or the pretty dunks. Aruja plays for the love of the game itself. However, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have dreams. He does wish to go all the way to the NBA someday.
Couch Potato anyone? - Aruja does have an extremely lazy side to him. Either he’s studying, playing basketball or sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing. Really, besides sports and academics, this guy really has no life. The only life he really ever had was watching an episode of “Family Guy” or “That 70’s Show.” He has an addiction with channel surfing as a lot of people tend to. If his favorite show isn’t on then he’ll just go through channel after channel without a real purpose. He loves to watch basketball games but doesn’t really dig street ball programs all that much. He thinks they’re just a bunch of show boaters who don’t have real talent.
The Will to Survive - This kid doesn’t care what it takes to get ahead in life, he’ll do it. He actually can’t stand going to school and having to learn a bunch of stuff. However, if that’s what it takes to get a good job in America then he’ll stay in school. He wishes to play basketball just for the sake of playing. But if playing basketball can someday make him a millionaire with the NBA then he’ll play for money as well as the love for the game. He doesn’t have to be rich. As long as he has a steady job with a decent amount of money then Aruja is more than happy. He just wants to live the America dream.
Hatred to Failure - As mentioned with his will to survive, Aruja hates to fail. He’s a perfectionist and sometimes it can get to a scary level. This kid hates failing so much to the point where if he misses a single shot when playing basketball, he’ll punish himself by running around the neighborhood he lives in for an hour of two; a form of “suicide” running. It would almost seem that he is his own coach. Aruja is the same way with his studies. Just let him miss one item on a single test and he’ll beat himself up over it.
Neat Freak - Just as organized as he plays basketball Aruja is very organized in his personal life. He has never been scolded by his parents for having a messy room. In fact, it was Aruja who had to get on his parents for keeping their room a mess. He is the same way with personal hygiene; the guy loves to be clean. For someone who plays basketball all the time and sweats a lot he certainly seems to smell fresh all the time. That’s because he takes three showers a day and uses tons of deodorant spray and even some cologne.
Don't mess with mom - Aruja doesn't respond well to "yo mama jokes." He doesn't like anyone insulting his mother. Sometimes in some high schools, people find it funny to insult another person's mother. Aruja will, without a doubt, bloody someone's nose or at least try to for bad mouthing the one woman that he cares about. He's very protective of his mom as well. He doesn't like it when men try to date her. He'll give those men one hell of a hard time.
DE DA DEE! - Aruja isn't a very wise person. He just doesn't think sometimes. The guy's a pure idiot to some people and that isn't an unfair assessment. He talks before he thinks and acts before he gives some thought into what he's about to do. Even his teachers can see these qualities in him. He's one of those people who are completely dipsticks and completely clueless. Don't expect an intelligent conversation from him.

History
Aruja was born in Russia. His mother and father weren’t married at the time but promptly got a marriage after their son was born. The child grew up in a poor but hard working home. His father worked at a nearby logging factory. Aruja’s dad got injured on the job. That’s when his mother took over the primary “bread-winning” with her job as a nurse. This caused some turmoil in the Milivic home. The father didn’t like the fact that a woman made more money than him or the fact that he was depending on her. So, the father in question would beat Aruja’s mother and abuse her on a daily basis.
This was a call for an immediate separation. It was hard for Aruja’s mother to raise him; being a single mom isn’t easy. She found a way to support herself and her son by doing some things she never thought she’d have to do. Aruja’s mother took the degrading job of being a stripper. It is a shame she had to do it. She was doing it for her son. She made easy money. Basically, she was a nurse by day and some man’s fantasy by night.
This path in life couldn’t continue. It just wasn’t healthy for Aruja’s mother or Aruja for that matter. That’s when the decision was made to try to legally immigrate to America. The United States clearly is a land of opportunity. His mother wouldn’t have to strip on the side just to feed her son. After five long years of dealing with immigration services, the move was finally made. Firstly, the state of choice came down to either California or Washington which were both hot spots for nursing salaries. Washington was the choice. Aruja’s mom picked it because it was the last name of a great American president.
It was then when Aruja learned the horrible truth about why he had to come here in the first place. Then, he had to learn some things about his mother after stumbling upon distasteful photographs. The kid was crushed. At the age of 8 years old at the time, he didn’t know how to deal with it all. He wondered what people would think of his mother whom he loved with all his heart. From that point on, he made a goal to try to become so successful where he could take care of her and where she wouldn’t have to be a stripper ever again.
Aruja’s love of basketball didn’t just pop up out of nowhere; it was introduced to him. After coming to his final year in junior high school he got his hands on a Playstation. He played NBA 2K1 which was a popular basketball game at the time. He didn’t know who the players were, the teams or nothing at all about the game of basketball. Sure, he heard about it and saw people playing but he didn’t know enough to play the game himself. Through playing the video game, Aruja learned the mechanics and seemed to catch on unreasonably quick to the rules. His mother brought him his first basketball.
After getting such a precious gift of circular rubber Aruja started playing around with the ball. That’s when he discovered his gift. Just for fun, he decided to take a few shots in a community YMCA basketball court. For some reason he couldn’t seem to miss a single shot. Some guys in the gym saw this but didn’t believe it. Finally, the kid found something that he was good at.
This newfound talent seemed to come around at the right time. It was just a week after that when Aruja graduated from junior high school. Around that time his powers began to emerge. Aruja was playing a pick up game against the neighborhood kids. He was the tallest kid on the court. So, as he was going for a block Aruja turned his whole body into some kind of strange liquid and instead of blocking the mentioned he volley ball style smashed the ball. The neighborhood kids freaked out and ran off from Aruja who rushed home in amazement.
Aruja's mother learned of the incident because some of the parents of their neighborhood called the police. The cops came to his mother's house looking for him. Aruja had to go. Aruja had to run for it. He didn't understand what was going on and while he wasn't the smartest kid ever he knew when he was in danger. Aruja was cornered after he packed up and ran away from home. He was found hiding behind a grocery store. Aruja was generally a non-violent person but he would defend himself if he had to. There was just no way he was going to be taken in by the cops. Aruja caused a huge scene by going liquid man and slamming himself into cop vehicles and even into the police officers themselves.
Eventually, Aruja ran out of energy and turned back to normal. He was placed into a juvenile detention center after his arrest. Aruja knew why he was being placed in this institution but he didn't get why the cops came after him. He didn't comprehend that he rocket launched a basketball and assaulted police officers using a meta-human power. Fortunately, thanks to his mother and a woman by the name of Tabitha Bishop Aruja was given a rather unusual bond hearing. Basically, the attorney from the Hammel Institution pointed out the fact that the police officers violated their own rules of engagement by trapping Aruja in a corner, trying to apprehend him without giving him a chance to come over peacefully and even questioning his mother about the basketball incident which was neither Aruja's fault or was it intentional.
Thanks to the technicalities Aruja would be released on a very, VERY high bond. Twenty thousand dollars was the bond. Aruja's mom certainly didn't have the money. Hammel stayed in correspondence and offered his mom a chance to pay for her son's release and the guarantee of legal defense once the next trial arises. Of course, this was just a temporary release. He'd have to be in court. Without Tabitha Bishop he wouldn't stand a chance. He'd be eaten alive in that court of law. His mom knew this. That was why, at the age of thirteen, she released full custody to the Hammel Institution. It killed her inside to do this but she made an outside deal with the future prosecution. She'd release her son to this institution that was more suited to deal with someone like Aruja.
At first, Aruja didn't understand which was why he tried to run away from the school after the first night. He was found outside of the school. There wasn't any discipline involved for what he did except that he had to call his mother and tell her what he did. Nobody in this world meant more to him than his mother which was why he was made to do this. All it took was for his mom to tell him not to do that again and he didn't try to run away again. Aruja wasn't smart but he did follow orders well once the orders were very specific.
