The Basics
Name: Calliope Rhea Gallo [Pronounced KAH-LIE-OH-PEE]
Nicknames: Callie, “Aderfi”
Age: 16
Orientation: Pansexual
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Disjointed Flexibility: Calliope is able to bend and twist her body in ways that normal people cannot do. Her physiology has manifested in a strange way, whereby her ligaments, tendons and muscles are able to stretch in abnormal ways and take unnatural amounts of strain. This means that when she 'activates' the ability, her movements can appear almost boneless, and the contortions are accomplished with an unnatural ease. Her flexibility works only from the joints, and the pain and stiffness of her muscles and joints sets in after her as if coming down from a harsh workout. Furthermore, she has had odd occasions where her bones don’t immediately fall back into the joints on command.

General Appearance: What to say first about Calliope... Her hair is a bright blonde in color which normally reaches a few inches past her shoulders. It carries a small natural curl which she is prone to straighten out if the mood strikes her. She’ll either pin her bangs up or allow them to naturally sweep to one side. Callie’s eyes are shaped almost like almonds and are known to squint lightly when she smiles. Her smiles are always wide and broad, and the curl of her smile really shows the dimples she has on either side of her mouth. Her nose is flat, pointing down towards the end rather than curling up. The bridge of her nose is decorated with freckles from cheek to cheek. Her jaw line is sharp, turning angular with the line of her lips.
Being a dancer in tune with her powers has given Callie a pretty good schedule for keeping her body in really good shape. Hours on the floor have left her thin and tones, with slight muscle definition on her arms, legs and abdomen area. Her skin carries a natural light tan due to her mother’s side of the family being more traditionally Greek.
In terms of normal clothing, Callie likes to feel comfortable while still making sure she looks good. There’s nothing wrong with wearing a bright polo shirt and awesomely fitting skinny jeans, or switching it up the next day and wearing a brightly printed short dress. Very few things are out of bounds for her.
Personality: Callie, Callie, Callie. One really important thing about this girl is that she’s a bit of an optimist. She looks for the good in people before the bad. She herself is a very bright person, always looking to be friendly and social with other people, even if she doesn’t know them well. Being involved in the conversation rather than standing in it silently. Bringing those ever loving smiles she adores to people’s faces. She likes the joy, and she likes it from other people. It’s a little infectious.
She can get a little competitive in healthy competition if a challenge is thrown down; even if it’s about things she knows she will lose at. It becomes about the principle of the thing... Even if she doesn’t really understand the logic behind it. Callie also finds herself to be a stubborn person. Despite the fact that she likes to win at things and finds it difficult to lose or be wrong, she still really hates being in arguments over such things. Once it’s over, she’ll probably apologize over her own behavior and endlessly hope that it hasn’t caused any dramas. She really wishes she wasn’t this way...
Family is very big to Callie. She loves her mother and father immensely and is always mindful to respect their wishes and wants. She adores both her older brothers, thinking the world of them and they can do no wrong in her eyes. Being that her mother is Greek, Callie often uses words from the language as she has great respect for her mother's heavy culture. She knows how important it is to her.
One thing that’s very important to know is that she hates it when people call her Calliope. She would much rather people refer to her by her nickname, which is why it’s more than likely that she’ll introduce herself as Callie rather than Calliope. The only ones who readily get away with it are her parents, especially since her mother refuses to call her other wise. The name was her idea...

History
Callie was the last child of Gia Gallo and Andrew Jones. Her mother and father couldn't be more different, but their love was always prominent and very clear despite the culture difference. Her parents had already had a child together who was her older brother Niko. While her parents were never married, her father had a child from a previous relationship. Regardless of the lack of blood relation, Eric was close to her as he’d been around since she was born. Her two older brothers were incredibly protective of their only sister, so much so that they would argue over who could look after her more. Their brotherly rivalry was evident through every inch of their lives, never really going away. But one thing was certain: they both loved their Calliope.
Regardless of their parental marital status, her family were very traditional in how important their ties were. They had dinner together every night at the same time. If anyone was ever late or missed the moment, her mother would promptly put them in their place with an hour long lecture on the importance of family. The three siblings had heard it so many times that they could recite her words on cue. Their father was always working so it was rare to see him much beyond these moments of family. But he always tried to be there for his children.
From a young age, Callie’s love for dancing was obvious. From the early days of dancing around her living room to whatever song was on the radio, her parents could see that there was passion in her movements. They enrolled her in dance schools when she was only eight, starting with jazz and ballet classes. As she progressed and moved into high school she became more interested in the fluid movements of contemporary dance and even hip hop, sharing classes with her oldest brother Eric. She adhered to the growing passion, putting dance above everything else and learning as many different styles as she could. Classes four to five nights a week became more important than her studies, and her mother would often threaten to take the classes away if she didn’t improve her schooling scores. It was just the empty threat she had needed to get her act together.
Callie’s powers manifested a short time after puberty. Her forearm seemed to dislocate from her upper arm on its own, but there was a clear lack of severe pain from the injury. Calliope wanted to go to the doctor, but her parents refused the idea. They knew what this meant, as both her brothers had gone through different kinds of manifestations before. The appearance and advisement of a recruiter confirmed their suspicions. Being that her brothers had been attending Hammel, it made sense that she followed suit after them.
Now, she spends most of her time dealing with her oldest brother Eric’s constant protective behaviour and the fact that he constantly asks her to move in with him. Her other brother Nikolas went off to travel right after graduating high school. The distance has been painful, but has really drawn Eric and Calliope together.
Roleplay Example
Pop the fallen back into its normal place, hold it still and replace the screws to keep it in tact for long enough. A few quick taps to the keyboard, a slight nudge to the body and bingo! The terminal springs to life like brand new!
“Veeeeery clever, Nica.” Full lips pull into an amused smirk at the sight.
Small words in tandem with their little symbols and fixtures on the tiny screen. The colour threatened to flush the tan right out of her skin; a dull hue of green shading her features in the otherwise dark and empty room. The process of hacking to open the nearby safe secreted to the floor, poorly hidden underneath dilapidated crates and shelving units. She’d managed to expel the energy that it took to clear it all away, but picking locks was never really her forte. There were so many other ways to fix something so minor.
Tap, tap, tap to the arrow keys. Enter. Tap, tap. Enter. Guessing games! Her hand falls briefly to her pocket, retrieving glasses and slipping them to the bridge of her nose. Her fingers happen to brush against the smooth texture of an emergency cherry bomb. The lines of it... Ahh, it would be so much simpler to just shove it in position and let it blow the damn door wide open! But she’d already put so much work into fixing the terminal. Someone had broken it foolishly to keep something at bay, after all.
It made the ordeal all the more fun!
A few more seconds to minutes of fiddling with the naive guessing game and ignoring the explosives sweet call and... ... ... There! In! Safe unlocked. Nica rocked back on the seat she’d dragged over for the whole thing. Yaaa~y! Dropping down to the floor, she crawled along the ground to the safe door; slightly ajar now thanks to her standard techniques. And the prize? Someone’s oh so secret stash of caps. Fair enough. A small shrug to her shoulders at the sight of it all and the threatening pang of guilt. Everything in open buildings was free game, right? Wasn’t that some kind of unspoken rule? It was now! The rest of it seemed like junk anyway. From the nearby table she retrieved her parting gift; a small lunch box crafted into a you-know-what kind of bomb.
“Bye bye baby-” The gentle solitude to the sing-song quality of her tone. Drop it in the safe. Light it up. Close the lid.
RUN. RUN AWAY.
Nica turned on a heel and dashes out of the room at her own special brand of speed. The run like hell from the boom~! kind! Barely out of the building and the explosion took hold, albeit the sound was muffled from the closed door of the safe. But the sound was still there.
She probably adored it far too much.
