This was still a bad idea. Lani was not going to let that go. At least this was just going to be preliminary work, Lani was not going to lift Odion two inches until he was absolutely sure that he wouldn’t kill the redhead. He felt a little defeated having given in and told Odion to meet him in one of the training rooms after most other had gone off for the weekend. He rubbed his temples and shook his head. This was such a bad idea. He couldn’t believe he had agreed to this and if Odion wouldn’t give him so much grief for getting cold feet Lani would have called the whole thing off. It was terrible but Lani kind of hoped something would go wrong so that he could call the whole thing off. That had been the deal. One accident and it was all over. Done. End of discussion.
Lani had brought a full bottle of painkillers with him and had already popped two before he got to the room. It was empty and of course locks were no problem for the telekinetic. It wasn't like they weren't allowed to be in these rooms, he didn't really even think that he might need permission but who would care. For once he was doing what he was supposed to do and practicing his powers. He hadn't told his trainer what he was planning, after all his powers trainer had ruled flying off limits and that hadn't stopped Lani, but then again he didn't need someone else coming in and distracting him when he was trying to make someone else fly. The kittens were with Odion this week and he was just as glad because the way his mind was whirring it was safer for them not to be around when Lani's power started taking over. His room was like a room in a haunted mansion, things were flying all over the place and even Lani was having to duck some one his own projectiles.
Entering the room he flicked on the light with a thought surveyed the room. This was the room he usually used, it was mostly for those with physical powers with weights and with tests of accuracy. He glared at the little object in the corner that was Lani's toy. It was really no different than a child's toy where they put the right shape in the hole but Lani had to do it without his hands and most of the time his power's uncooperative nature made it extremely difficult. At least this thing wasn't brightly colors and was actually made of heavy metal with rounded edges to also work on his mind's strength. He hated it. He spun in place dropping to the floor with his legs crossed underneath him. Now all he had to do was wait and hope against hope that Odion would be sick today or just not show up. Oh this was such a bad idea.
He tapped his fingers on his knees and sighed, he might as well warm up. So Lani closed his eyes and let go of his body and let down all of the walls. His power flew in all directions touching everything, rolling some things lifting others. Testing everything without the slightest bit of control. Without Lani's focus the power spreading everywhere and exploring was hardly enough to actually do any damage. It was always disorienting when the information started flooding back to him. There was a dumbbell, there a bobby pin, over there was a paper, up there were the rafters full of dust and to his right was a window. He didn't open his eyes and instead got his mental bearings. It was so strange knowing everything's shape and size without having to look at it he could just feel it. Here is a shirt, his power informed him pleasantly and that made him jump. A shirt? He peaked his eyes open and looked toward the door. He sighed and rose to his feet. "Hey."
