Admiring the surrounding [Addie]

Dominic had been at the institute for a few hours, and had to get away from all those meta's, all the headaches. At least for a while. So he decided to leave the dormitories and get some fresh air and explore the greenery of the institute. He was impressed by it the moment he stepped onto the campus, and needed to see more when he could. If it was one thing that could always ease his troubled mind, it was doing some gardening of his own. There was something about it, maybe it was the connection to the earth, or even the fact that a human could create life without knocking up a woman, hell it could be any number of things.

So as soon as he stepped out of the dormitory building that he made his way through the ground, and very shortly found himself at the immaculate Koi pond. The sight made his jaw drop in shock. "Sweet zombie jesus" he said out loud as he looked at the surroundings, he would definatly have to come back and paint this scene when he could, preferably at night.

Dominic was still having a headache, however the pain killers he took a while ago were doing their job, but he could still feel someone approaching. Maybe this person wouldn't be as much of a meta magnet as Allex was with that other group, then he registered the power this person had. "They have to be the gardener" Dominic thought as he turned his head in the direction the person was approaching from.

Weeks ago, Addie had used her power to manipulate the white calla lilies around the pond into full bloom. Unlike most gardeners, she didn’t have to wait weeks on end for the true beauty of a flower to reveal itself. She was not as the mercy of nature. Not entirely at least. She did have to wait until the plant sprouted at least.

She was entirely at the mercy of her own perfection though. And all of the white surrounding the pond had seemed too much. So more recently, Addie had planted a few a blue bellflowers. Tall, white calla lilies and short, blue bellflowers, they would make each other pop vibrantly.

Knowing students often went to the pond, figuring they liked the relaxing way the fish moved in the water, she approached in such a way as not to startle anybody who might be there. And announced her presence the moment she saw somebody standing there. After all, it wasn’t uncommon for her to be startled by another coming up to the pond after her.

“Well hello there.” She said with a smile in the boy’s direction. Before kneeling down, she stood beside him and pulled her hair into a loose ponytail over her shoulder. “Forgive me, but I don’t think I recognize you.” However, not being a teacher, knowing the students was a bit more difficult. Still she extended her hand to the boy. “I’m Patricia. But you can call me Addie. I’m maintenance for Hammel.”

Dominic was stunned, but not all that surprised to see a woman wielding such an incredible power, and brought a smile to his face when she walked towards him and extended her hand to greet him. "Maintenance?, no your the goddess that created this wondrous beauty that we are standing in right now" He really wasn't trying to flirt with the woman, just showing his appreciation for the work she did on the school, as a fellow gardener. "Sorry for being so forward, My name is Dominic, but you can call me Dom. And it truly is a pleasure to meet a fellow gardener amongst all the others here"

He hoped he wasn't creeping her out by the way he was speaking, but it was the truth. "Tell me, how did you come up with the inspiration to make the pond look like this? I'd like to paint it some time" Dominic released her hand and his gaze went back to the lush greenery and flowers that surrounded the pond, truly mesmerizing in his opinion. He would definatly have to do some gardening with her while he went to school in this hell, at least he would be able to share one of his many passions with someone else here.

Addie would’ve never mistaken his words for flirting. Especially since he was so young. Given the right circumstances, she could’ve been his grandmother. But his words did bring a slight blush to her face and she couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh my. Such a great compliment. Thank you. I’m glad you like it so much.” After releasing the boy’s hand, she kneeled into the dirt, took a gentle hold on the first plant the had begun to sprout, and focused as it grew into a full bloom, still small, but filled with life and color. “It’s nice to meet you Dom.” She said, smiling back up at the boy. “It’s always nice to meet a fellow gardener. If you’re interested, I could always use some help around the grounds. Planting seeds and what have you.”

That wasn’t quite a question Addie knew how to answer. She wasn’t sure how or where her ideas for gardening came from. “It’s… Just sometimes there. I’ll see something, something people have seen a million times, myself too, and then it’s just there.” Addie felt a little bad being unable to explain just how she was inspired sometimes. But truthfully, she didn’t entirely know how she was either. “Though, sometimes I do take ideas from magazines or off the internet and make them my own.” She said with a smile at the boy as she chuckled. Addie moved onto another plant that sprouted, repeated the process of making it grow. “You’re an artist though, yes? You paint? You might understand better than anybody inspiration isn’t something easily explained.”
