The Details
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Any Piercings? No
Any Tattoos? No
Any Scars? No
General Appearance:
Zara's facial features are very delicate, doll like; small nose (slightly pointing up), heart shaped face with high cheek bones. Her eyes are wide and she is often found narrowing them. The girl is rather pale with freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her hair is long and straight, nice and she keeps it nice and in order.
She's 5'7, a bit taller than your average girl. She's a fairly thin girl, but nothing to fuss over. She does have curves (again, nothing to fuss over) but she doesn't like showing them off much either. Zara isn't very into showing off and caring about what others think of her to actually feel the need to wear revealing outfits.
Her style goes back to her personality and how she doesn't like wearing such revealing things. Her clothing choice is modest yet fashionable. She knows what to wear and when to wear it. But also because of her history, Zara's also often found in dresses and flats.
Overall, Zara is considered a fairly pretty girl.
Personality:
She's confident in herself-- she has always been. Even before she started talking to dead people and even before her brother and mother died she was stubborn and confident in what she believed was right (note, she's not always right). Once she's got it something set in her head, it's there forever (or until someone convinces her otherwise but that's pretty hard to do).
She's witty and sarcastic, to the extent of being rude. Zara's also quite straight forward with everything she says and does. She doesn't like sparing anything to be nice and spare a person's feelings. So because of her attitude towards people, she's often strayed clear of.
Zara's a pessimist, she'll always look at the worse before thinking of anything positive. She's got a really bad temper and is really impatient when she's annoyed/irritated (which she is half the time, if not more). She's got a low tolerance for just people in general. She doesn't like being around them for the most part.
Although, if you gain her respect and she actually genuinely likes your company enough not to tell you to fuck off, then she's loyal as hell. You can tell the difference in the way she acts towards friends/loved ones and other people.

Strengths: Zara's very good at being independent and not asking for others for help (that may also classify as a weakness). She's very studious and likes to focus on schoolwork. So books and such are definitely one of her strong points. She also never backs down. From anything. At all. Seriously. (That may also classify as a weakness)
Weaknesses: The problem with Zara is that she doesn't know when to stop. Once she's got something in her head, she won't give up (or shut up) and this gets her in trouble most of the time and in the end she's usually proved wrong.
Along with that, her lifestyle doesn't actually suit her-- the glamor and riches that require her to be lady-like and proper. Since she isn't any of that, her father often scorns her for disrespecting guests or hosts at the parties and or functions they attend/host. She is often told that she is reckless and selfish and unpunctual.
Fears: Her father admitting her to a mental institute and if she doesn't end up there, being a lab rat for the government.
Secret: Despite her tough act, she's breaking down.

History
Zara was born to Samuel and Kara Montgomery along side with her twin, Sebastian. The Montgomery's were very well off, Sam being a high class business man. Kara worked as a housewife (since her husband got more than enough money for the family) and the children were more attached to her than they were to their father. In fact, Zara began to dislike her father at one point. He was hardly ever home to spend time with her and Sebastian. But she was a child, and that never really lasted very long (especially when Sam came home with ice cream or chocolate). It's not like she lead a lonely childhood and actually craved for her father's attention all the time. Her mother's was more than enough for her. And on top of that, she and her twin brother, Sebastian, were attached at the hip. The two were inseparable.
At the age of thirteen, the Montgomery's were on a road trip when they got into a car accident. Sam and Zara survived while Sebastian and Kara did not. This tragedy shocked Zara greatly, for the two most important people in her lives were dead. After that Zara became more distant from her father (even more than she was before) and everyone else. It was her way to cope (even if she still might not have gotten over it). She blocked everyone out and turned very sour and rude to the outside world.
Not too long after her mother and brother's death, Zara began to hear them. She didn't believe it at first, and she actually thought she was going crazy. She could only hear them when she was at home or a familiar place. Sebastian, at school or at the park. But she could talk to them more often at home. She didn't mind that she was 'going crazy' at this point. She was getting what she wanted: her mother and her brother.
She kept it a secret for a while and eventually, she began to see them too. It was the only thing that was keeping Zara going every day. She hated leaving the house. It was hard though, for a daughter of an important man to not attend parties and functions. She was often seen as the odd one out especially when found whispering to absolutely no one.
Within a month of her powers activating, Zara's father found out and tried admitting to her to a mental institute. Though this is when the letter from Hammel came in and she went to the school. She's been at the school for nearly four years now and she's learning quite a bit about her powers. Although she misses home a lot (where she could contact her brother and mother), she knows this is where she should stay (though she never admits it and let anyone who really cares know that this is the last place she wants to be right now).
Roleplay Example
This wasn’t a date. Even if she had finally agreed to go out with him after she got him after she got him to agree that she would be the one that decided on where they would go. She didn’t see why he was doing this. Dates were for people getting to know each other—Zara saw Arian for most of every day, Either way, it would take some time for them to actually get to know each other. Things like that need more time. She didn’t want to look at this as a date. She refused to. It was too weird. She expected something like this, though. Which was why she ended up giving in. She figured it would be normal for him to feel attacted to her. She was around him all the time now. She was teaching him how to be stronger; better. She was taking care of him. But Zara only passed it off as a crush… Like a child has a crush on its babysitter or teacher. It was more reasonable to believe that than anything else that crossed her mind. It was what was right. This crush would pass.
But what about her? Sure, she saw him as a student for the most part, but she was attracted to him too. It wasn’t as big of a deal (yet) and she could ignore it while around him. What would everyone say if something did happen between them? What would Sebastian think? There were already whispers traveling around about her changing Arian in the first place. The Elders didn’t like it but her twin had pulled a few strings for her. He was disappointed, she knew that. But she couldn’t have just followed the rules this time. Not for Arian. If only the situation were different. If only she fell in love with Arian before she changed him. If only he had gotten into some life threatening situation which left her with no other choice than to change him. If only she wasn’t so selfish. Vampires changed humans all the time to live with them for eternity. Most didn’t change until they were on the verge of death. Or that would be something that brought two together. But it didn’t matter because not one of those applied to their situation. Besides, Zara didn’t change Arian because she was lonely (that was actually a coincident), she changed him for his talent, charm and his intelligence. He would fit in with the vampires better than the humans.
Again, this wasn’t a date. It was a day at the library—a place Zara enjoyed being at. It was like her movie theater. A form of entertainment. Besides her kind, books were also ageless.
She’s not too dressed up for the not-date—not too dressed up than she usually is anyway. Zara isn’t the type of girl that goes around in sweatpants. She has an image to keep up with, mind you. Usually, you found Zara in a casual dress, even if she was going on a walk with Sebastian or speaking with the Elders. It was what she was more used to anyway. In her time, women were expected to dress acceptably. Of course, styles changed as the years went by and now dresses were somewhat short of what was accepted in the fifteen hundreds. This occasion was no more, no less than anything else. She was in one of those more modern dresses, less elegant than her liking but she fit in well enough that way. She had let her long hair cascade down her back, ultimately deciding not to really do anything else with it. It was that or putting it up and for Arian’s sake, she kept it down.
She sat in the familiar couch (ironically enough it was a loveseat and surprisingly, she did not realize this) with a Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights in her hands as she waited for Arian to arrive. He wasn’t late—she was just early. Zara had spent the day in the library before they were supposed to meet. She sat perfectly still, only her eyes moving over the words and to turn the pages in a delicate, quick movement with her hand.
