Nothing crazy today. Odion had tried giving people chances they didn’t deserve and now he was through. It was better just to keep to himself, and perfect his card tricks. Yes he could be practicing his power, but it might be worthwhile to see if the world was going to end or not before he really got into it. In the end, he had more time than he needed for all things, and this was no different.
Once again, Odi was killing time. He took his usual spot by the biggest window in the library and brought out a new deck of cards. Boredom didn’t even begin to describe his current state of being. Were there things he could be doing besides training? Absolutely. He could be trying to get to know his twin brother, or seeing what Lani was up to. But he wasn’t in a good mood and that was bound to cause friction between either of those two options. It was better just to play it safe.
Spreading out the cards on the table face down, Odion stared at them blankly. What was he going to get Lani for Christmas? And, was Lani going to get him anything in return? There was a lot of things on Odi’s mind as he gathered up his cards once more and began a game of solitaire. Normally he would build a card castle, or practice some new trick, but not today. He didn’t need to draw attention to himself. Honestly, participating in MANifesto and the aftermath that had brought was enough to make him never want to come out of the shadows again. Today he was just a normal teenager, playing a real game of solitaire, and not bothering anyone. Most wouldn’t complain.
