At the light dawning back into Lei's eyes, Vincent relaxed, shifting his position so that he wasn't leaning his considerable weight on the boy (despite being very lean, his height added a great deal more weight than people expected from him). He let go of the student, shaking his hands to relieve a bit of the ache as he stood. "You were in a fistfight," he stated coolly, checking his hands for bruises. "I was here to complete paperwork, as your prank today has left my office temporarily unusable, and separated you two."


The trainer looked back to the boy and realized he had yet to get up. With a sigh, he offered his less-bruised hand (which looked a little red right now, but not bad) to Lei, giving him the chance for help up. "No one was hurt seriously," he stated. "Come on - your lunch is almost over, and you should see the physician."

"A fight? " he questioned with those eyes looking about the room. Hoping that he would not see bodies around him or worse. He might have apologized for causing the man trouble had he not been so out of it. His hand rose to grip at his throbbing head only to notice the bruising on his own skin. He'd gone that overboard? This was troubling to him.

Leiken looked to his own blood which stained his hand somewhat red beneath the surface. "I don't remember this... i don't know how could this have happened? " he stated missing a large portion of time between the other male hitting him and hearing his name being thrown into the air.

Leiken took hold of vincent's offered hand, cautiously, at first recoiling his hand as it neared the trainer's own. however, he slid his hand into that grasp and drew himself to his feet with that help though gasped out a pained sound as he stood. "I am glad." he breathed out shakily. "O-okay." he stated still in a state of disorientation.

Vincent frowned. It was unusual for someone so young to have combat blackouts, though the effect was common in adult traumatized by war or abuse. Considering that alcohol was not a factor either (and no one sobered up that quickly unless it was part of a metahuman power), there had to be something else at work here. However, he did not force the issue.


"How it happened is not of concern," he stated strictly. "It happened, and I will have to report this to the librarian and Dr. Neville. Now go on; you have little time left. I can walk you if you need." His paperwork was not so important that he'd let a student wander hurt through the halls when his powers had reacted violently, after all.

"R-report it ? shit..." he stated choked out as his hand raised to grip in the strands of his own hair. "Could you walk me there? I know you're busy, but... " he trailed off making a pained expression. "you know." he stated trailing off. Leiken looked to the trainer, giving a pained expression, "Please" he pleaded with the trainer.

He didn't trust himself right now. It had been a long time since he last blacked out, though he gradually regained some of those memories, most of them remained lost forever. Leiken was scared, both of being reprimanded by higher authority, but as well over the fact that he'd lost control so badly again. Maybe he needed to put trust in this man after all. He needed help. He didn't know where else to get it, but he was still afraid. Still untrusting of the other man's intentions, still believing he would be betrayed, "I need your help." He mumbled.

The fear was almost palpable and it came off the kid in waves. Not for the first time, Vincent was glad he wasn't an empath - this sort of thing would cause a massive power backlash if left unchecked. He nodded once in response to his request and gestured for the boy to follow. "Come with me, then."


On their way out, Vincent picked his files back up and carried them under one arm, the other ready to support the frightened teen if needed. He still wasn't exactly sure this wasn't a trick, but he would help regardless. He couldn't say "no", after all.

"Okay.. " he stated in an aching tone. his fear was obvious, but he had no choice at this point. He was troubled, in pain, and left little explination for why he'd even felt threatened by the other student in the process. He moved along with other male, "thank you..."
