Life in Our Dorm - Snapshots [Tak]

Flip flick flip flick a slippered Sharp crossed the common area yawning and stretching his arms. Everything was firmly unpacked and in order. The usual little headache was beginning to form at the back of his head, signaling that it was most likely time for tea. He put the kettle on as he tried to massage a few knots out of his neck.

After four years of waiting patiently, he finally did it. The co-ed dorms were his now, all his! Rooming with two other girls was any teenaged boy’s dream come true. He wasn’t quite sure whether Tak and Avi really were the sort of girls out of his fantasy, but he cared not, it was the idea that counted.

“Anyone up for a spot of tea?” he called to the dorm in general. Indeed it was August and hot, but still, tea was tea, even for a Welshman.

Tak was in her room, for once actually attempting to do a bit of studying, when a voice called out in the shared common area. She remembered that their old roommate had graduated and they were due for a new one, who she had not yet met. She also remembered hearing that he was a boy, which obviously meant one thing.

She needed to meet this guy!

Completely shameless, she closed her book and grabbed a thin robe off of her closet door, draping it over her nearly-nude frame without bothering to tie the front. If this guy was gonna live with her, he was gonna have to get used to it. At least she had bothered to put a little something on, even if it hardly covered anything.

"Tea sounds lovely, actually," she greeted him, appearing in her doorway. She gave him a very obvious up-and-down, nodding in approval with a sly grin. Oh yeah, he was attractive. "You're the newbie, right?" Tak gave him a small wave, continuing to approach him until she was quite close. "I'm Takchawee. Tak is fine." She pulled her hair over her shoulder and continued to smile. "It's nice to have a new roommate. Our last one was a stuck-up jerk. Hopefully you'll prove better."

Sharp had his back turned to Tak's door when she appeared. He was searching the kitchen cabinets for cups. "Do you take sugar – "

Turn, "mother of God."

There are places where you expect to see lots of skin, like on a nudist beach in Germany, or in the carnival in Brazil. Not a classmate who is your new roommate. Well, this was even better than he expected, but then again, he had known of Tak had something of a reputation and, lilac colored lace underwear certainly converted the rumors about her into truths.

He laughed and looked at her, scratching his head thoughtfully, messing his already messy wavy dark blond hair. Was this some sort of invitation? The kettle began to boil, not Sharp's kettle, not quite yet, but the one he had put on for the tea. It was whistling.

"The bloke who lived here before me was Fred Sumthinoranother, aye? The fat ginger one with the sweaty palms who had the sticking-things-together power?" he leaned his back against the counter and crossed his arms while behind him the kettle picked itself up and poured the tea. "Yeah, I remember him, angen* fellow, but you can never know, I may just be a bigger arse."

"Though, I say, Tak," he grinned, "you're rather funny to be introducing yourself like that; we've been taking history together for the past four years. Sugar? Cream?"

Tak rolled her eyes, used to the sorts of reactions that Sharp was giving her. Really, what was bare skin? Everyone had it, and it was a shame to be covered up. Unless you were cold - but then, she usually just found the nearest warm body to cuddle up to anyway.

She smirked and crossed her arms over her chest, following his movement and leaning against the counter beside him. "Yeah, that was him. Never really got to know him all that well, he wasn't my type. You, however, may be." She let her eyes travel over his features briefly before turning to look at the kettle as it began to whistle. "Arses I can handle. As long as you don't mind a little bit of cuddling every now and again, with or without clothing. We'll have to see." She couldn't wait to see what his reaction would be the first time he woke up to find her snuggling him for warmth. It would be wonderful.

She shot him a look. To be honest, she hadn't really noticed him a lot in class before, so she wasn't certain how well he knew her. Still, she had tons of rumors flying around, so she supposed most people probably did know about her, probably not in the brightest of lights. She definitely had a reputation. She wondered if he was already wondering how hard it would be to get her in bed. "Well, if we're going to be roommates, we might as well have a proper introduction, eh?" she asked, following the movement of the kettle. Telekinetic, right. "Sugar is fine," she added, giving his cheek a pinch as she turned towards the offered drinks.
