New room, new room mates, kill me now [open]

Well after a couple months being at the institute, Dom was having the worst time of his life. He had to get into a new room because his room mates had decided to move out on their own, and a couple other students were looking for a roomie. He already missed Ashton, he was finally able to sleep for a few months this summer, and did he ever need it. However now he had to get reacquainted with new people, which he was pretty sure not going to have power supression. Dom could just see it now, many bad days ahead due to no sleep, but hey at least he will have two new people to despise.

So there he was, chilling on the couch in the common room, debating wheather to go outside to gun a stick or just stay in and putz around on his computer some more. "Fuck it, I don';t need one right now" he said before popping a couple pain killers in his outh, then washed them down with a red bull. Not exactly the healthiest lifestyle, but hey, it works for him.

New roommates! Yay! Kevin hadn't met either of them, but he was excited to.So far, he hadn't meet nearly as many people at school as he wanted to. And now that classes were in session, that was going to be even harder to do.

Walking back to the dorms from the library, Kevin was really pumped to see one of his roommates sitting on the couch. "Hi!" He said, closing the door behind him. "You must be one of my roommates! I'm Kevin," he said, sitting beside the boy on the couch. What was he eating, candy?

Dominic was doing everything to keep from bursting into laughter when he felt kevin get closer to the room. He was like Aquaman, in his opinion one of the worst super heroes out there, so he didn't really see Kevin as a threat to anyone but his own reputation. Kevin walked in and was obviously pleased to see someone new in the room, and introduced himself rather pleasantly.

"Names Dominic, but you can call me Dom if you want"He said still trying to hold back his laughter from the new room mate, however with the pain killers now in his system he was starting to let loose a couple laughs. "Don't mind me, I just had an amusing thought in my head"

Kevin wasn't too worried what people thought of his powers. He was still developing them into the awesome state they would soon be in and he had full confidence in himself. Even if others tried to tear him down, he would always and forever look on the bright side of things.

"Okay, I like Dom better," he said, his mind on his own name, "Kevin's pretty short already, but you can all me Kev if you want to." It didn't really matter to him. He smiled at Dom who seemed to be a good mood. Good! Things like this always rubbed off on other people.

"Is it a joke?" He asked, leaning forward, close to Domininc. "I love joked. Except when the fish in the pond try telling me a joke, they're always the same." Kevin hadn't even been here that long and he heard all their jokes. He definitely needed more friends.

Dominic listened to Kevin agree on their names, and rubbed his left hand over his face to get the grin off his face. He was over his laughing fit and wanted to continue the conversation onward in some way, so with a somewhat straight face ready to say something. What exactly you might be asking? Well we won't know because Kevin started talking about making jokes with with the fish in the the institutes pond.

That was his breaking point, and in a split second he went from attempting seriousness to hunched over laughing. "Oh god no more please" he said pleading while laughing holding his stomach, this guy was harmless alright. "Dude.... Your.... Freaking...... A.. Aquaman" That was all he could muster saying as he laughed.

Kevin held a grin as Dom laughed. "Yeah, it's awesome!" He said with a quick nod and an even broader smile. "I mean, not everyone can breathe under water and talk to fish. It's totally fun." There were so many different things he could do, except actually control the water, and that sort of sucked, but hey, if he could learn how to talk to like, a whale or something, then he'd be able to take down a lot of things if he wanted to. Or, he could be like Jonah, or Pinocchio's father! It was an adventure waiting to be had.
