Tak tossed and turned in her bed, trying to get to sleep. She had gone to bed over an hour ago, and no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't get herself to shut her mind off and pass out. She was too busy thinking about what the future held - the morning sickness, the weight gain, the birth itself... The teasing, the jeering, the changes that this would make in her life. Tak knew it was all her own fault, but that didn't stop her from completely panicking in the middle of the night like this, knowing there wasn't anything that she could do to stop what was coming. What would even happen to the child once it was born? She couldn't take care of it. She could hardly take care of herself.
Finally, she gave up trying to fall asleep. Tak sat up, wincing as a small wave of nausea hit her, and let out a ragged breath. She couldn't sleep by herself. Kicking her legs over the side of the bed, she stood and paced her room for a few moments, trying to think of something, anything she could do to get her mind off of things.
Eventually, she realized there was something she could do. She could call Kouji. But as she picked up her phone, she hesitated. He shouldn't have to lose sleep over what she had done. It wasn't right of her to ask him to. So instead, she bit her lip and dialed Cam's number. He, at least, was part of the issue. As much as she liked him, he had a chance of actually being the one that caused this.
"Cam?" she asked as he picked up the phone. She let out another tired breath. "I'm... I'm sorry for calling so late. I can't sleep at all. Is it okay if I come over?" Tak half-expected him to hang up - she wouldn't blame him if he did.
