Sighing at the head shake, Robbie knew then that there was nothing else he could do to remedy the situation. And here he was thinking that he could just catch up with an old friend. What a bucket of horse crap.

"I don't..." Robbie had to clear his throat a little before continuing. "I don't expect you to say anything, Tanner. I swear it wasn't my intention." He pleaded. "I'm sorry I came here! I thought...I just saw a friend and...I didn't think..." the blonde sighed exasperatedly, rubbing the back of his neck and looking down to the ground.

When Tanner mentioned Dani, all Robbie could do was nod. "And it doesn't excuse what I did and how I wanted it." He took a deep breath and looked back up at Tanner. "I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better...I could leave. Or...you could...leave. I don't know how this works."

The blonde suppressed an eye roll. "Well, I have a purchase to make," he explained, figuring that was a large enough hint that even Robbie could deduce what he was implying. So, their little reunion certainly wasn't ending the way he had hoped, or the way he had perhaps expected - though in truth, he hadn't expected to see Robbie there at all. He felt like there was more left to be said, but he simply couldn't think of anything. Perhaps that was just the empty feeling that came with a complete lack of closure - or, at least, closure he found personally satisfying.

He shook his head one more time. "Wow, I am really just not used to not getting what I want," he stated, and whether he was saying it more to Robbie or to himself was not immediately apparent. "Well, hopefully Harvard won't send me an acceptance letter unless they really mean it, eh?" He asked as he pushed past the blonde to move towards the register. A low blow, but he genuinely hoped that the college application process went better than his final experience with Robbie: he wasn't sure he could take getting rejected again.

Once he was halfway to the register, he turned back to the other boy once more. "Have a good-" He cut himself off. Day? Life? Did he plan on seeing this kid again? Did he want to? "...time, Robbie." Yeah, a good time. That was all he ever wanted anyway, wasn't it?
