Here We Go! (Leiken.)

[Leiken Chu]

"I have in the past. " he admitted. "People can't handle me. Not my problem." he stated with a shrug.

Though he smirked again to cam's words. "That's okay, i've heard shower singers before, you couldn't be any worse." he assured. "My body is ready." he joked. Wondering if cam would understand his humor or not. Lei leaned to the table, listening to the sounds that would leave the guitar, his eyes half lidded for a moment. Then he closed his eyes for a moment, something he did to deny his eyesight, in order to enhance the effects of hearing.

He enjoyed the sound of the music and how it gained a beat much like a heartbeat. Though when it ended it almost made him sad. A distant memory striking a sour note within him that caused him to open his eyes, "Mm. You're talented at playing as well. That was nice. It felt alive." he admitted. Referring to the music as if it were something he could feel in his hands.

"You shouldn't take everything I say so literally." He stated with a chuckle. "A pity it's an expression you'll never know." he cooed to the other man. Though he tilted his head a bit. "That may be, but shouldn't you be enough of a factor that he cannot be completely happy without you? Saying that he's happy with or without you is like saying you do not have a signification that would make him feel at a loss. I find that pointless." he stated lightly. Though he wasn't really one to talk much about relationships. he wasn't experienced enough to know much about them. Let alone understand them.

It just sounded painful.

Lei smirked a bit to the other man."That part you can take seriously." he mentioned as he heard cam's laughter. Though he leaned somewhat to the table, "hmm. Alright, but you have to pick the dessert too. So it still feels like part of the package. " he stated pointing a finger to cam.

Cam smirked, "So, should I be worried right now? You're not gonna get me are you?"

"Oh, but I'm totally worse than they are, trust me." Cam wasn't about to sing for someone he just met, who paid to go on a date with him. That would be reserved for those special to him.

Ready or not, the song was played. Cam wasn't playing close attention to how Leiken was reacting, because he was watching his finger placements. "Thank you," Cam said, beaming. There were beams of light seemingly emanating from his face, a good reaction considering what his powers were. "I'm glad you like it. If you're lucky, I'll some more later." But for now, Cam set the guitar aside.

"We just started dating, I don't expect him to be that into me just yet," Cam said. That would made Declyn obsessive and he just wasn't like that.

"You have to tell me what you decided before I take it seriously," Cam said, curiously. Leiken had him in the palm of his hand. "Alright, doughnuts and coffee it is!" Cam announced, heading to The Holey Land. "What a coincidence, you get to see where I work too," he said, walking into the doughnut shop and checking out the spread. "You're at least gonna pick one, right?" He asked, looking at Lei.

"Maybe. I haven't decided yet." he joked. Smirking a bit as he made a small punch at the air infront of him with his fist. The way people would 'fist bump' though not a full on punch gesture. Something rather comical rather than serious.

"Oh, I doubt that. I've heard people that made my ears bleed. " which wasn't an exaggeration. Though it was because of his own abilities acting out. However, he wasn't going to force the other man to sing if he didn't want to. That wasn't the type of person lei was, "but you'll have to let me be the judge of that sometime. Whever you feel like it. " he noted.

The light surprised him, though it shouldn't have, given that the other male went to the same school he did. However, it made lei smile, not smirk or grin. Just smile. Something that seemed to come around so little these days. "I hope i'm lucky then. " though he couldn't truly say that with his heart. He'd had a lot of bad luck lately.

"Oh, you've only started dating? that explains it then. " he stated casually. He had assumed the other male had been taken for some time, but now he was curious. However, he would let his curiosities lay where they were for now.

"I've decided that I could get used being entertained by you. " he mused. "And that I should eat your food more often." he stated looking to his empty plate. "It's not often I clean a plate. " he noted pointing down to the plate then. He smirked somewhat to the other male, standing up, following after him. Looking to the place, to the display, then back to the other man. "How. freaking. adorable." he stated each word firmly over the man working at a doughnut shop.

"I'll have to stop by here in the way to the music store I usually visit and see you in uniform sometime." he noted with a laugh. "Don't blame me if i point and laugh though ~" he joked. "hm..." he trailed off looking to the selection. Trying to decide which one to pick, it was difficult for him, he rarely ate sweets because they were so addictive to him.

He looked over each carefully. The ones with frosting on the top weren't really that appealing to him, sprinkles were far from his thing, the glazed ones were to plain and made him feel as though there was no point to eating them, and the twisted ones had a strange texture in his mouth. He came at last to the powdered one's he liked the most, the ones filled with jelly, he loved jellies and jams more than he'd ever admit. "Ah.. That one " he stated pointing to it before looking to the other man.

Cam smiled broadly. He liked Leiken. They could probably be friends after this. The whole bleeding ear comment made him laugh and he took it in stride. He let the comment about singing drop.

Leiken had a nice smile when it was genuine. “I think you just might be.” Cam raised an eyebrow. “Explains what?” It seemed that Leiken had a lot of insight he wasn’t willing to share.

“Really?” Cam asked in disbelief. “Because you ate that pretty quickly, like you hadn’t eaten in days.” Maybe Cam shouldn’t throw around his words but it was rare that he thought before he spoke. It was like breathing to him.

Cam gathered up the remains of the picnic, haphazardly putting everything into the basket. “You haven’t even seen the apron yet,” he said, winking at Leiken. It was bright pink and sight for soar eyes, but Cam loved bright colours. He nodded at the idea of Leiken visiting him – why not?

“Good choice, that one’s strawberry. You like strawberry? There’s also grape and raspberry.” He paused to wave at his co-worker, who waved back with a grin. Honestly, it felt like he was working now, and he laughed at himself. “I’m gonna have a maple fritter, and a caramel mocha latte,” he said, before gesturing with his thumb towards Lei, “he’s gonna have one of the jellies and something to drink.”

After the food was bought, Cameron guided them over to a small table, surrounded by two large comfy chairs. “So, best date you’ve ever been on?” He teased, setting down his drink on the table, and dropping his things beside him before biting into the doughnut. Damn, it was still warm.

It was funny that lei actually enjoyed the company of this man. Given that lei made so few friends due to his personality and defensive demeanour, but he did like cam. There was just something about him that made him seem like the type of person that was easy to get along with and that he wouldn't have to worry about prying to deep into his business. Plus cam had not even asked about Lei's abilities even once, yet anyway.

"You're the first to say so." he noted though noone had really said he wasn't lucky before either. "Oh, it explained why you were okay with that. I imagine it would be harder if it were years down the road and he was still not effected if you were to be absent from his life. " he noted. Shrugging a bit, "Not that i'd really know." He admitted.

Lei thought on a moment then spoke when he had, "That's because i had not eaten much more than a few slices of bread for the last day or two. " he stated plainly with a shrug.

"oh, you will have to show me, I bet it's as adorable as you are working at a place like this." he stated thumbing toward the shop. Though lei was drawn into a momentary stupor due to his fascination for the way the other man's eyes were and the light that radiated from him.

"I do. I like pretty much anything sweet. " he admitted looking back to the doughnut. "I try to avoid it when i can. Otherwise i'd stuff my face and get fat because i can't exercise it away." he added casually. "Strawberry please." he looked up then. "Ah i'll have the same drink also." he didn't really know what to order for a drink so he just picked the same thing the other male ordered to make it easier.

"Thanks." he stated to the other man as he moved to sit in one of those chairs. Sinking down onto it, "Shocking yes. It's the first somewhat-real-but-not-really date i've been on. " he mentioned as he sat his drink down as well. He bit into the doughnut. The messy white powder sprinkling on the front of his shirt and smearing against his lips and a bi ton the tip of his nose where it bumped as he ate it. Using his tongue to keep the jelly from falling onto his shirt as well.

Cam just didn’t really care about who had what powers. He saw people as people, and tried to find the best in everyone. He wasn’t one to talk about personal business, since it wasn’t his place.

“Well if you get into a lot of fights, it makes sense why people don’t think you’re lucky,” but that didn’t really matter, because Cam thought he was. “Well yeah, that just makes sense dude,” he said, though Cam suspected Lei had been in a long term relationship before. “I’d like to have that someday,” he said, though he wasn’t sure who he wanted it with yet.

“Why? Power side effects?” Cam asked. Lei couldn’t just say something like that and leave the subject to rest. What if he was anorexic or something?

“If you come to visit me, you’ll see it, don’t you worry,” Cam said, patting Leiken’s shoulder and giving the pastries his full attention. “I’m more of a salt fanatic, but sometimes you just get those cravings, you know?” Cam sighed. “I wish I could get fat, or something. I eat like a horse, anything I want, and I’m still as skinny as a twig,” he laughed at himself once more. That was a sore spot he didn’t want to talk about.

“Any time,” Cam replied amiably. The date wasn’t half bad! “It’s not shocking at all – you’re with me.” The blond laughed softly as Lei went right into the doughnut, unafraid of the mess. “Want some doughnut to go with that powder?” He asked. “How is it?”

"That could be it. " he chuckled. Though he was sure there were other factors to it as well. Such as being seen in an innapropriate fashion within a trainer's office. Which he hoped would never spread out in a rumor, but with lucy he wasn't even sure. He still needed to have a word with that girl.

"Yeah it does. " he noted with a laugh of his own. "I'm sure you will. You're pretty cool, man. I'm sure he'll stick around you as long as you don't change." he noted.

"No, not at all. " he stated plainly. "I should actually eat more when i have side effects." he noted though the man had no way of knowing that. "I don't really know. I just forget to eat sometimes. " he admitted with a light laugh. "i've been so busy that i really don't have time to grab anything more than that on the way out." he added. Though he didn't really mention the other factors.

"Then i will have to for sure." he assured. Though the pat on his shoulder nearly made him recoil out of reflex. He tensed faintly as he felt his abilities noticing that pulse drawing closer to his own. Though he hoped that the other man had not noticed the sensation as well. "That's true. " he noted with a small laugh. "You're lucky if that's the case. Alot of people would kill for a metabolism like that. " He pointed out. Though it was a sore spot for Lei as well so he didn't put much more thought into it.

He smirked faintly, "Well then i'll expect to have this much fun everytime i visit you ~ I hope you can keep it up." He noted with a grin. He raised a hand to cover his mouth a bit as he wiped the powder off his nose, "Delicious." he stated after making sure most of the powder was off of his face. "I'll need a change of shirt at this rate" Though he stated as he wiped his shirt off with his other hand.

"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself Lei," Cam commented, "but I probably will change. Not my personality or anything, but hopefully I mature or something like that." Cam thought people were in a constant state of renewal. He wouldn't be the same person he was now five, or even two years down the road.

"How do you forget to eat? Eating is one of my favourite things to do," he drawled. Cameron didn't stress out a lot, so he didn't have much to think about. Maybe that's what hindered Leiken. "And the food is kinda shitty sometimes," he said, wishing the cafeteria served things he liked always.

His hand felt like a magnet on Lei's shoulder, and he had a bit of trouble getting it away. But it wasn't anything to cause alarm. Strange things happened on a day to day basis and weren't abnormal any more. "Well it'd be nice to get some muscle," he said. He knew he'd never be a bigger guy, but that didn't make him want to be any less.

"Oh I'll raise the bar even," Cam said. Challenge accepted. "You could always take your shirt off," he suggested like the flirt he was, "but they might kick you out for that." Cam reached for his drink and tried it out. "If you like sugar you're gonna love this," he said, swishing it around a little before taking a sip. It was warm and delicious. "It's coffee and caramel and chocolate, so basically walking liquid sugar."

"Since we're here," Cam started, sitting back on his chair, "is there anywhere you need to go? Need new clothes or a new CD?"

"That's the first i've heard of that." he laughed. THough it wasn't really a joke. Most of the time, more often than not infact, he was quite the asshole. "Maturity is overrated." he assured the other male with a shrug.

"I've had alot on my mind." he stated with a grin. Though he slid his hand through his hair once again in that self-comforting manner. "Well, You'll just have to cook for me more often. You couldn't possibly ever suck at cooking with food like that." he stated motioning to the basket.

He for one was glad that the other male did not make a big deal about the unusual sensation upon touching his shoulder. Though within himself he felt a certain worry over the fact. "I would work out if i could so i don't see why one shouldn't if they can." he noted.

"I would, but then that would mean our date would be interrupted. " he stated though he gave the other male a smirk. "Plus, i don't want to turn you on too much. your boyfriend might get jealous." he joked to the other man. he took hold of his drink a bit, touching the edge of the cup with his tongue to see if it was cool enough to drink without burning his taste buds off, when he was sure it was he took a sip as well.

The expression upon his features showed how much he liked that flavor. how the taste of it rolled upon his tongue and the sugar soaked into his body. He loved the taste, "I think i've found a new addiction." he stated aloud before taking another, much more heavy, drink.

"Hm. Not particularly. The only place I really go in here is to the Q.N. I only go there because they have nice pianos to play. Since i can't really afford one right now." he noted with a shrug. "least not until i have a decent job."

Cameron shrugged. How would Leiken know? He wasn’t mature, he couldn’t speak for the wise.

"I cook for myself when I get the chance, but sometimes I'm too busy," he said, so he had to make do with what they served. Between studying and seeing people, his life was pretty busy. And he loved it that way.

"That's what I'm saying though. I do workout, it doesn't seem to make a difference." Cam would always have a leaner build, not the bulky build he wanted.

Smirking at the jealousy comment, Cam rolled his eyes. Did everyone nowadays come off as cocky? He was so glad he had Declyn. "Guess that means you'll be stopping by more often," he commented, the light finally leaving his face as he became more comfortable with the situation.

"You play piano? Very cool," he said, no wonder Lei and Mia got along or whatever. They both played it. Cam was glad to be getting to know Lei and what he was into. "I guess you're not obligated to play anything, and you probably shouldn't because then I'd just cry over how great you are and my playing would suck ass."

"hmm. I can understand that. I've been pretty busy since I arrived here myself. It seems like my life's been twice as eventful as it was at my last school" he noted thoughtfully.

"If I were a genie I'd grant you your wish." he mused. "Alot of people would consider you lucky to have such a build, but that doesn't mean you have to be happy about it. " he stated with a shrug. He himself wished he had a more toned build, but unfortunately he never really would. "I can't work out at all. So i can't change my body type with normal means." he noted.

"Of course. " he stated with a smirk. Though still fascinated by the light leaving the man's face. He might have made some sort of joke about lighting up his day or something lame like that. However, he didn't want to offend the other man as he knew what it was like to have parts of your abilities poked at.

"Yes, I play out of enjoyment. Nothing really serious or anything like that. I usually play when I have nowhere else to put my emotions." he chuckled a bit to the other man. "If you want to hear me play I will, but i assure you i'm not that great. I don't really have much formal training about it."

Cam smiled at Leiken curiously. "Do you think I'm lucky?" He asked. At least they could find the other lucky and have something to be glad about. "You can't? Like, something to do with your powers?" He asked, just as curious as ever.

"Cool, I'll sneak you free treats when no one's looking," Cam offered. He did it for all his friends, and so long as he didn't overdo it, he could keep sharing.

"That sounds like you're a good musician to me," he mused. "I wasn't trained formally either, I figured most of it out for myself, and I definitely have more to work on." He said, sipping at it drink still and periodically swirling it around so that the syrups didn't get stuck on the bottom.

"We can leave whenever you want," he said, making himself comfortable. Obviously he wasn't in any rush to leave.

"I do. " he statd with a bit of a smile to the other man. "Yeah something to do with that. " he stated plainly. Though he really didn't elaborate on what after all he still wanted it not to be brought up to deeply in conversation.

"You're going to make me fat." he stated with a light laugh. "but i wouldn't mind so much." he admitted.

"I don't know about that. " he stated with a shrug. "As do I. If I could become good i might be able to have something in my life to strive for." he stated as he looked to his fingers. Curling them a bit, "so long as my hands don't give out on me before then. " he mused before downing another gulp of his drink.

He glanced to the other man a bit, "That bored?" he questioned with a slight pouting tone. Though he chuckled, "To be honest i'd be fine if it never ended. I haven't relaxed like this in a while. Most people piss me off."

"Thanks," Cam said humbly, looking down at himself to make sure Leiken was talking about the same body he was.

"I'm sure you'll fall in love with someone who's a chubby chaser," he teased. Hey, if Lei didn't care, then no one else should either.

"Well if I hear you play, then I can say for sure. It's all speculation for now. "We should play something, strive together." Why not? He was all up for seeing Leiken again. "Why? You think Odion's gonna cut them off?" Cam laughed then, shaking his head. That guy was mostly smoke and mirrors.

"Yes, I absolutely hate dating you," he said, followed by a dramatic roll of the eyes. Milk the moment! "So it's okay that I don't? Because I could if you want, I can be annoying." Cam glanced around, looking for inspiration before his eyes landed back on Leiken. "I could run around telling people you're trying to kidnap me."

Lei laughed slightly, covering his mouth a bit due to having food in it, though once he'd swallowed the last its of his doughnut and licked the power from his fingertips he spoke again with that genuine smile. "For someone so attractive you sure don't seem to think much of yourself." he stated with a shake of his head.

Though he flushed faintly to the statement, "Tch. Me ? fall in love ? never. Noone could ever love someone like me. So why bother trying to love anyone in the first place? " he stated sipping slightly at that drink. Finishing it off. Seeming pleased with the taste.

"I will play something for you then. " he noted softly. Still smiling despite himself. "I would like that. Perhaps we can hijack the band room one night. The club isn't meeting frequently so it's usually empty." he had noticed. "As if." he laughed. "I'd beat him to a pulp before he could." he added. "it's nothing though." he stated letting his own thoughts drift away.

He seemed, for a moment, almost sad at those wordsd. Taking them seriously of course. Though his face reddened a bit. "You couldn't be annoying to me if you tried. " he grinned then. "Oh now that's just cruel. If you're going to tell people i kidnapped you at least let me do it first. That way I can have a little fun with it. " lei stated as he stood up.

A thought occurred to him and he looked to cam, "Do you like adventure?" He questioned the other man.
