Three days after Christmas and Susie was still coming down from her shopping high. The holidays were an important time for the girl, because she usually got what she needed without having to worry about how she got it. There was no need to be frightened about drying up her parents wallets by asking for things when they were already going to get her something. She wasn't use to asking for much because of this, she didn't want to convince her parents into getting her something just because she asked for it. Besides, having a little extra money from relatives after the big day was always fun. It was sort of a small thing she had done every year since she could drive, go down to the mall and treat herself to something nice with what money she had.
The drive from Pilot Ridge wasn't that demanding and she found herself pulling into a parking place in no time. "Merry Christmas to me." Said the teen playfully as she checked her hair in her rear view mirror, she was going into the mall of course and she wanted to look good doing it. After everything checked out, Susie opened up her car door and stepped out into the cool air. Winter, she loved the snow, but she didn't really like the chill. She made sure she was bundled up when she left the house, and pulled the coat she was wearing tighter to herself as she began walking towards the mall. It was only three days after Christmas and parking lots were still pretty packed, so she had to settle for a spot in the back of the lot. With it being freezing and all, Susie didn't really pay much attention to the movement around her, the girls focus stayed on the entrance to the mall.
So, of course, she never saw the motorcycle screeching toward her, but she sure as hell heard it. Her head snapped immediately to her right and she saw the metal death machine closing in on her. She was about to dive off into the slushy ground to get out of the way, but thankfully the driver noticed her at the last second and brought his bike to a stop, only about a foot or two away from her. Susie's heart was raising, and her temper flared toward the guy sitting on the bike. She didn't recognize him because of the silver helmet on his head, she felt like tearing it off. "Hey! Watch out for pedestrians!" Yelled the girl, still a bit shaken about almost getting hit by that thing.
