Woah! Look at the boats maaaan! (Jaythen)

This is just... so beautiful, thought Frank as he sat on a bench by the lake and watched some of the boats sailing around. He was wearing a simple pair of jeans and an old red flannel shirt over his white t-shirt. On his feet he had a worn out pair of flip-flops and no socks. Finally, he had a green bandana tied around his head.

Frank had been sitting there for what must have been two hours or so, just staring at the lake with a cheesy smile and his eyes only semi-open. This was the result of locking him self inside his Volkswagen Type 2 while taking his "medicine." When he had opened the door to get out after an hour, it was as if someone had set off a smoke bomb on the parking lot. So it was an understatement to say that the Vietnam veteran was "a little bit high."

So far, nobody had really paid any attention to him. An occasional person had sat next to him, only to make a run for it as he started really getting into it how much Johnson had lied to the entire nation. Slowly, the effects of his "medicine" were wearing off and he was starting to get talkative. Well, hopefully someone would come along soon.

JT had saved up a bit of money to buy something new. What he really needed was a haircut, but that was according to his mother and he didn't really see the necessity of getting a haircut when it would just grow back and he could but something worthwhile instead. He had browsed all the latest video games and couldn't find anything he really liked. So, he bought a water gun instead. It was pretty high tech too, accepted paint and everything... Accepted paint and everything.

He smiled broadly - JT had a brilliant idea.

After a quick stop to pick up standard blue paint, JT was walking around near the lake, his new gun fully loaded and ready for action. He snickered to himself and changed into the best impression of Gandalf he could manage. So basically, he looked like the famous actor walking around in a casual getup, holding a water gun. No one would notice.

JT went to sit on one of the many benches, where someone was sitting beside him. He pointed the water gun at the man and smirked. "You shall not leave this bench until you give me all of your many knowledgeable insights."

His mother also said he really needed a job.

Fate answered Frank's pledge for a conversation soon enough and suddenly he found him self lazily looking at an elderly man, Ian McKellen to be specific, with a water gun. Rather than saying anything right away, he closed his eyes, held his hands in the air for a second and hummed. "Thank you mother," he said sincerely into the blue.

After few moments or so he finally opened his eyes and nodded his head gracefully, bowing to this man. "You have come to the right place for knowledgeable insights brother... for I am the Truth." While his movements were slow and his face motionless, he was thinking about a million things or so.

One of the things Frank was thinking about was this man in front of him. That face, he was still processing it but he was fairly sure that he had seen it before. "Have I met you before man?" he asked curious. Just a second or so after asking him, his face suddenly brightened and his eyes widened. Of course he had seen that face before! He was a famous actor! "You...! It's you!"

Frank sprang to his feet. "You're Christopher Lee!" His leg protested and the wounded veteran groaned and plonked him self down on the bench again. "I've seen your movies man! Like... like... like The Mummy. Saw it with my brother back in 1959!" Frank looked into the air as if he was thinking really hard. "And... and... and then you were Dracula! You're a legend man! Come sit down with me brother!"

JT looked up at the sky. There was nobody there. Either this guy was quite spiritual, or he was insane.

He couldn't help the smile that crossed his now bearded face. "I thought you looked familiar." He stated. "I have heard of The Truth from far and wide, and I knew that today, I would find you here." Sure, he could roll with this, it might even be fun. Definitely more entertaining than sitting around and playing video games. He should pretend to be famous people more often.

"Yes, indeed we have. In a past life or two ago," JT said with a straight voice, and that voice was continuously adapting to the role of the character he decided to pretend to be. He smiled and nodded a couple times as recognition crossed the man's face.

JT had to laugh. "I'm already sitting. But no, I'm Gandalf the Grey," he said, an eyebrow raised. Actors, they weren't a thing without the roles they did. "And you, my good sir, are The Truth, and I seek your advice." He aimed his water gun someone passing by, and they simply ducked their heads and kept walking.

"Who to make surrender to my awesome water gun?"

Frank's face brightened up when the man mentioned that they had met in previous life. Of course they had! Hadn't they all met at some point in the time since the creation of the universe? "Why was I being so silly. Of course I knew you, just like we humans all know each other. We are all brothers and sisters, descendants of those who came before us. Grown from their flesh with the power of love and our souls are nothing but the pieces of our ancestor's. We are one."

"Aha so you seek my council," Frank smiled and closed his eyes, inhaling deeply. "Ask and you shall have your answer, brother" he added after a second as he shrugged his shoulders and stretched his neck as if he was preparing for his questions. When the question came, he stroked his beard and spent a good while seriously contemplating how he was going to give him the right answer. After what must have been whole two minutes of him just staring at the sky and humming, he finally answered. "Brother... ask not who to make surrender to your groovy water gun. The real question is, who shall I bless with my water gun? Surrender to the kindness in your heart brother and share this great wealth you have with as many people as possible."

Frank put his palms together like Dalai Lama and bowed to Jaythen. "Go my son... use your outgoing, cheerful nature to spread love to those in need of it, brother." He raised his hands into the air and closed his eyes again. "Thank you mother, thank you for your guidance for I shall follow your every command until my last breath." Having said that he leaned back on the bench again and stared at the boats again as if he had completely forgotten the person sitting next to him.

Soon enough he accidentally discovered an already rolled joint in his pocket, which he took out and rested behind his ear. "Thank you..." he mumbled quietly at nothing.

JT bellowed out a laugh. "You were always a silly one Truth," he said, wondering if the man actually believed him or was just going along with the game because, well, why not? "We are one, the circle of life and all that," he agreed with a broad smile. "We're all simultaneously separate and part of the whole. It's a beautiful thing."

Jaythen, er, Gandalf, leaned back into the park bench and contemplated the sky also. Onlookers were pretty disturbed by the pair, completely zoning out on hopefully the clouds. This was all very amusing to JT and he'd be sure to make note of this in his writing later. When the guy started speaking again, his eyes traveled over to him in a serious look. "Care to join me on this noble quest you've given me?" He asked, never breaking character.

"What was that?" He asked, standing up rather quickly for a man his age. "Mother says you ought to come with me." JT rose an eyebrow at the joint and had to smile. "I can't complete this mission without you."

Frank smiled as the man laughed. "The line that separates seriosity and silliness has always been very distorted brother," he said and smiled, hinting that behind the over the top statements, he was speaking seriously on matters important to him. "Life it self is a beautiful thing that we must preserve, both our life and the life of others. I'm telling you this because..." Frank fell silent for a second and looked away, rubbed his eye to hide the fact that he was suddenly on the verge of crying. "Yes, we are all a part of this beautiful thing," he mumbled and looked at Jaythen with a kind smile.

Frank responded to the other man by humming and zoning out again and staring at the sky. He wasn't all that in the mood to stand up, but if the other guy wanted his help then he felt obliged to help him. He had caused so much harm to the world that he had practically devoted the last four decades into helping everyone that needed or wanted his help.

"Alright brother, i'll accompany you on this glorious quest" he said chuckling and adjusted the joint behind his ear, before standing up. His eyes widened as he watched the other man stand up. "Woah, you look even older than me but you're in a better shape man!" he said surprised. The way Frank stood up... wasn't as glorious. Using all the force he had in both of his arms, he had to push him self up so he could stand. He growled quietly and it was obvious that he was physically in pain.

Taking a moment to adjust and although the pain didn't go away, his frowning look did and soon nothing was indicating that he was in pain. Well, excluding the way he walked. Frank took a second to look around for his walking cane. Damn, forgot it in the car. Looks like he had to do with out it. The word 'mission' triggered something in his head and as ashamed he was of his past military experience, a part of the old Sergeant kicked in and he instinctively took the lead. "Move out!" he said loudly and stubbornly ignored the pain as he started walking fast towards the trees.

JT couldn't suppress his bemused smirk. "As I recall it, you were the one asking yourself why you were being so silly as to have forgotten me," he said, quick to point out that the silly comment was simply agreeing with that Truth had said in the first place. He smiled softly at the older man and gave his shoulder a pat. "Life is but a wisp too precious to let float away without first having shaped it."

"I workout," he said casually, like an older man going to the gym and being speedy was a normal occurrence. JT waited patiently for his new friend and followed after him as he sprang to life. Water gun in hand, the prankster wondered who their first victim could be. There was a kid running around here in swim trunks he'd seen earlier. His eyes stayed ever vigilant, wondering where the rugrat had run off to.

"Do you need a rest, Truth?" JT asked as they reached the trees. He was too excited to be doing a very good impression of an old man. He stayed behind a tree as someone approached. As soon as they were in range, JT aimed the gun and fired them right in the chest. He suppressed laughter as the little boy he had been scouting for looked completely shocked.

What a sight this must've been.

Frank slightly raised an eyebrow when the older looking man said he worked out. "Work out? Good for you man!" He thought that the other man looked at least ten or fifteen years older than him self. "You know brother, you're in a really good shape man." In fact it was almost embarrassing because it made Frank feel a lot older than he really was. He was after all only around twenty-ish! Oh well... maybe not, but his mind was!

Hiding behind a tree, Frank grabbed a hold of a branch to support him self. When Jaythen made a comment about him needing a rest or something he shot him a disapproving look. "What? No man!" He stubbornly let go of the branch to show that he could stand without support, even though it was absolute torture for more than just a minute or so.

As the other man took a shot at some random bypassing kid, he was leaning to the side to take a peek at it. When the shot hit him, he quickly went back into hiding as he let out a loud laugh rather than suppressing it like his comrade. "Ahahahaha! Maaaan you make me feel young again! I used to be kind of a prankster when I was a kid man." With a smile he looked dreaming into the blue. "Ahhh man, you remember brother? The fifties and the sixties man? Wolfman Jack, the Beatles, Roy Rogers and so on? Those were the times man!"

Realizing that the kid had probably spotted them in instantly because of his rather loud laugh, he leaned back to the side and called out to him. "Sorry kid! Just some old fools havin' a good time son! I'll give you a good advise kid. Never get old!!" he called out and let out a lighthearted chuckle as he smiled at him.

Looking back at Jaythen. "Common brother, let me try this time man!" he said and took the joint from behind his ear, putting it into his mouth to decrease the chance of loosing it in all the excitement.

"That was the idea," JT said with sarcasm. Why else would he workout if not to look good? Even in real life he did, it's not like he had anything better to do anyways.

JT raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, I just don't want you to do anything you're not comfortable with." Honestly, he wouldn't know what to do with a man who had a heart attack or broke his hip. That would be trouble for everyone, and as great of an actor as he is, JT can't actually be a doctor.

"Can I tell you a secret Truth?" JT asked after having shot the kid, lovingly of course. "I still am," he turned to give the older man a smile, "a prankster I mean." That much should've been obvious. Though why all those things had to belong to the past JT wasn't sure. He still liked The Beatles, for example. The kid gave them a glare and went to the water. "Aw, he'll just have to wash it off," he said, thinking himself as so witty.

"Of course," JT said, passing over the water gun filled with paint to Truth. Whoever said old people weren't cool obviously hadn't tried doing dumb things with them before. Jaythen liked to think everyone knew how to have fun, and some just warmed up to the idea faster than others. He couldn't wait to be truly old.

When the water gun was finally handed over to him, he immediately started examining it, checking out it's weight and measurements as if it was a real weapon. Only one thing went through his head as he was looking at the water gun - if he only had had one as a child, that would've been awesome!

Frank snapped into the right mood. Firmly holding the water gun with both hands and covering behind the tree, he looked at Jaythen while doing his best Clint Eastwood impression. "I have strong feelings about gun control. If there is a gun around, I want to be controlling it," he said quoting a line by the famed actor.

Suddenly the senior rushed as fast as he could out into the open. To his right he saw a middle-aged man and to his left there was a twenty-ish old couple holding hands. Quickly, he raised the water gun and squeezed the trigger three times. The look on their faces was priceless, although Frank couldn't see it since he had already turned around and was running away.

Nearing the trees again, he did a rather awkward combat roll, although he personally thought he looked like a badass. Sitting in cover by a tree, he pulled out a lighter and lighted the joint still resting in his mouth. "Phew! Intense!" he said to him self out loud.

JT smirked at the quoting man hiding behind a tree with a water gun full of paint. If he ever had kids, this was going to be a great story to tell. It was something he would add to his autobiography at the very least. "Well it looks like you know what you're doing," he said, but Truth probably didn't hear it as he fled in a mad dash.

JT watched as Truth went ahead and attacked a couple people nearby, and he had to hold his hand to his mouth to keep from laughing. This was priceless indeed.

Truth was totally a badass. JT watched the people go from shocked, to disbelief, and finally anger. And much to his dismay, they were approaching a police officer he hadn't noticed before.

"Uh, I think we should leave," JT said. Because despite how old they appeared to be, they were still citizens under law. But then JT had a different idea, and he smirked devilishly. In a matter of moments, he changed from Gandalf, into a woman who belonged to Operation Patriot. The description of the old man the victims giving the police officer now wouldn't be anything like who they had seen before.

"Just pretend to be my sugar daddy or something," JT said, turning to glance at his partner in crime, who would probably just blame his point on how JT had magically turned into an African American woman.

Unfortunately, the Truth hadn't noticed the nearby police officer, whom his victims were approaching by now. His eyes widened in a slight shock when he realized that he had lighted his joint mere seconds earlier. "Well this is unfortunate," he mumbled and nodded towards the police officer as he calmly took one last drag from the joint and put it out, hiding it in his pocket.

"Wow man, that's a really good idea man" he said and stumbled on to his feet as the other man suggested they should leave. "You're like... one of these idea men, aint' you man?" The Truth asked as he approached Jaythen since his fried brain probably wouldn't have figured that out on his own. Making a run for it would probably save him a chunk load of trouble with the law. Better make a mental note to... to what? Oh well it couldn't be very important the Truth thought and shrugged as he walked to Jaythen.

But it was then when this situation finally started getting really weird. All out of sudden, the man wasn't a man no more. "Woah dude, you keep surprising me." Truth eyed the new Jaythen from top to toe. "I should have known man, this town is like... it's phenomenal man."

Truth complied immediately and wrapped his arm around his partner, albeit at a slow pace and he started walking away from the police officer. It was quite obvious that this man he had been spending time with was one of these 'special people.' "I don't know man... this is really weird dude. I bet the government has a hand in this, probably even Johnson man? It's an experiment! I know it in my heart dude... don't you worry man! I will figure it all out and free you all from the shackles of the federal government!"

Truth turned his face to Jaythen and stared intensely into the eyes of the woman in front of him as they walked. "But enough of that for now, we need to escape. Any ideas? What about McDonalds?"

JT turned to smile at his new friend. "Expect the unexpected," he said, though his voice had also changed. It was a good thing his clothes were baggy enough to accommodate the voluptuous curves he suddenly had. "Have you been here long?" JT asked, since most people were either very unsurprised when he morphed, or they ran away in fright.

Glad that they were getting away, JT knew he wouldn't be able to do a whole lot of acting in a jail cell. He laughed as Truth rambled on about some conspiracy they were all going through. "You've never met a meta before?" He asked, because there were way too many people with powers around here for it to be some kind of government thing. Especially since it hit him when he was going through puberty, and he was pretty sure the government didn't have a hand in that. Hopefully.

"McDonalds sounds delicious," JT said, carrying on their merry little way before spotting one of the many golden arches across the states. "I bet McD's is a government operation too man," he said. While no one was watching, JT morphed once again. Yes he had perfected his power, but he had pretended to be two different people for a solid hour straight. His body could only handle so much.

At least Truth would finally get to see who he really was.

"So, what do you want?" JT asked, fully prepared to pay for whatever either of them got.
