Fer didn't dignify Romeo's question with an answer. He had indeed tried a foursome before (and bigger-number-somes), and in a normal conversation basis, he would freely talk about them, but at the expense of being called a slut, and by someone who's being nothing but a jerk, he was not going to talk about it.

"I'm more than that." Fer proudly said to Michael after he referenced the night they met in which they were wearing costumes. "Do you like it?" He said as he pointed at the arrangement. "I did it with a lot of love."

And he did. Fer had thought of this date as a very romantic one. When he imagined the date before the auction, he thought of a knight in white shining armor carrying him in his arms through a meadow filled with yellow and red flowers. They would have the romantic picnic and then the knight would tell him that he's in love with Fer and they want them to date seriously and exclusively and fast forward one week, they'd become boyfriends and live happily ever after.

Who knew, maybe Michael could be that knight, but now they were stuck with Romeo as add-on to the party, so Fer didn't flinch when leaving him behind at all, and he didn't flinch when answering Michael's question on the Irish boy's whereabouts.

"What Irish boy?" He raised his shoulders and took a seat. "Come'on, sit." Fer started to unscrew the bottle of wine to no avail. "Help me?" He asked Michael. "You're much stronger, I'd bet."

"Yeah, it's great!" Michael commented, "it would have been super hilarious if some fat guy with pimples and a squeaky voice won you. Then you'd have to be all awkwardly romantic with him." He giggled while thinking of how Fer would act if put in such a situation. It was quite a hilarious thought. However, Romeo's whereabouts were still a bit concerning. Without Romeo, Michael wouldn't have won Fer, one of those blonde twins (whichever one it was, Michael can't tell them apart) would have won. He couldn't leave Romeo out of the loop. He would feel bad.

Michael grabbed the win bottle. "No drink until we find Romeo," he suggested, "it will be pretty difficult to do if we're drunk."

The Californian sighed. "Where'd you put him?" he asked as he stood and looked around. "I'm going to set things straight between you two." Michael had a plan and he would wait until the right time to deploy it (it was going to be so cute!).

"Romeo!" he called out casually as he set off to find him. He hoped the Irish boy would hear him and come his way.

Well this was unexpected.

While it wasn’t the first time he’s been stood up (not that he would admit that to anyone, especially not to Chris, but he insisted that it’s just statistically impossible not to had been stood up), it didn’t make the frustration irriation annoyance anger that he felt. Why? Did he do something wrong? Never did it cross his mind that he might’ve gone a little too far with the name calling. Must’ve forgotten how Fer never really liked it outside the bedroom.

“Fags? Fer? Michael? Where the fuck are you?” he yelled out as he began looking around, trying to find some traces of where the boys vanished off into. He wasn’t an excellent tracker by any account, but having a background in living in the woods gave him a little bit of an edge over them city folk. Not to mention the light snow that feel a few nights back made the two boys leave imprints on the ground.

He followed what he thought were footsteps while shouting the boys’ names (“Fer! Brazilian manmeat! Michael! Drama fag!”), some random insults (“Yo cocksuckers where’d you run into?”) and some threats (“I’m going to break your bones so bad if you don’t tell me where you are yet?”).

After five minutes, the boy sat on a rock near the lake’s edge and grumbled. “When I see Mike, oh he’s going to get it.” There’s no way this could be Fer’s idea. He’s got the boy wrapped around his finger. It’s the Californian who’s a bit tricky.

"Eww, thank Britney it wasn't a guy like that." Fer made a disgusting face. "I'd have pulled the sick move and proclaim flu for some weeks at least." He nodded to himself while looking away. "He'd take the hint, wouldn't he?"

It was very nice of Michael to stop until Romeo was around, but the problem was that Romeo was the complete opposite from nice. There was only one good thing Romeo was good at, and hanging was not it. This was a picnic, as far Fer was concerned, it was better if Romeo didn't appear until the dessert, and well, there was no dessert in Fer's picnic basket.

"What Romeo?" Fer frowned and lifted his shoulders with a confused expression in his face. "I don't know what you're talking about." He grabbed Michael by the shoulders and tried to push him into sitting. "Come'on let's sit and enjoy our date." He then couldn't help but laugh at Michael's words. "Babe! There's never going to be anything straight about me." He made his better puppy-eyes face and prepared a whiny and yet cute voice. "Come'ooooon, I want wiiiiiiine with youuuuu."

Crap. Was that Romeo's voice in the distance what he was wearing? By reflex, Fer couldn't avoid turning his head towards the source of the sound for one small instant before returning it to Michael hoping he hadn't heard that. No... he had to hear that, but maybe there was still some way to convince Michael that alone time was better then with-Romeo time.

"Come'on..." Fer grabbed Michael by the hips and pulled him as close as their bodies allowed. "Mikey..." He was whispering softly while touching noses with Michael. "let's be alone..." He bit his lip in a sexual way while Fer's hands find themselves caressing Michael's back and butt. "I know you like our alone time."

"Oh come on, Fer," Michael said nicely, "I know he said some pretty harsh things, but he doesn't mean any of it. That's just how he is." The Californian was set on finding Romeo. He owed him for the money he chipped in. "Besides, you can't just ditch him like that. That'll make you just as bad as him."

And then, Michael heard Romeo's voice calling from somewhere around the lake. "Did you hear that?" he asked next as he began looking around. "Look, I want to wine with you too, but Romeo deserves to be here just as much as I do. If it weren't for him, you'd be stuck with one of those blonde twins."

Michael turned to run off in the direction of the sound, but he was quickly intercepted by Fer. "God, you're so hot," he muttered as he felt the Brazilian's hands running down his back and bottom. Fuck...! "I do, I do like our alone time... but I'd feel like such a bad person for ditching Romeo..."

Michael began moving in for a kiss while his mind was wandering around what he should do. And then... he decided...

Centimeters away from Fer's lips, Michael backed off at the last second. "I'm going to make things right, I'm promise," he explained, "all three of us are going to enjoy this. Trust me!"

Michael then turned and ran to find Romeo. "Come on Fer!"

To say that Romeo was pissed would be an understatement. He was fuming. He knew he shouldn't feel this way - 'cause come on, it's just a stupid date from a stupid event; he can nab a date from either of the two any time he pleased (or so he thought) - but he just can't believe the two would do this to him. After all, he's under the impression that the two belonged to the top10 people in Hammel who were completely in love with him.

The Irish teen gave his phone one last check (maybe either of the two had the decency to at least text him about their whereabouts) before standing up and walking back the way he came. He had just taken two steps away when he heard some shuffling from the bushes behind him. "You!" he shouted as he bumped into Michael, grabbing the other boy by his collar, "What the fuck was that about? I don't know how you managed to get Fer to leave me behind but I'm going yo make sure you'd be making it up to me."

If Michael thought he could deny Fer a kiss and then make him follow him around the lake to find the one person Fer had ditched a few minutes ago, the Californian was damn crazy. Sending hate-eyes at the boy, Fer stayed in his place mentally cussing at both Michael and specially Romeo, while looking around at the beautiful date he had planned and how it was ruined and close to get even more ruined.

"Oh Fer, why don't you do a blind date, Fer?" he talked to himself in a silly voice. "Maybe you'll meet your soulmate, Fer, make it very romantic Fer, it'll be a Prince Charming and you'll live happily ever after, Fer, everything's going to be perfect, Fer."

Sitting alone in the blanket, Fer started drinking the wine he had bought by himself. He couldn't help but think that he had to have the worst luck in the world if after winning two dates, he's now alone and not entirely sure if he preferred that over having two boys coming back.

Michael eventually found his way to Romeo successful, but instead of being greeted happily, he was grabbed by the collar and shouted at. "What do you mean?" Michael asked with utter confusion. "I didn't do anything like that. I was blindfolded like you were, remember?" Michael looked around to get some help from Fer, but he wasn't around. He must not have followed.

"Let go," Michael said as he managed to jerk himself out of the stronger boy's grip. "Come with me or I will gravity drag you," he added, "and trust me, you don't want me to do that."

Back at picnic blanket, Michael spoke out to both of them with an assertive voice. "Okay, I understand that you're both pissed, but you guys need to look past that." He looked to Romeo. "You need to stop being such an asshole," then to Fer, "and you shouldn't have ditched him like that."

Michael then shoved Romeo toward Fer. "Both of you, kiss and make up," he said with a serious voice and face. He crossed his arms and stood firm, making sure they knew just how serious he was. "Do it," he said as he made the bottle of wine and wine glasses pull toward him and orbit around his body, "or no more wine."

He had other ways to convince them as well, but he figured he would save those for if they became really defiant. "You don't even want to know what I'll do next if you guys don't start getting along."

Michael was now dedicated to salvaging the date. He was going to make it fun or die trying!

Romeo was honestly so surprised when Michael didn’t even flinch when he grabbed the other boy by the collar, instead pushing him back and barking orders for the Irish to follow him or else. Sure there was a hint of confusion at first, but the overall commanding presence the Californian suddenly developed completely threw him off guard. It made him follow the boy, silently at that, till they reached the spot Fer prepared. It also made Michael appear just a tad bit hotter even. (He actually caught himself unconsciously licking his lips as the Californian walked in front of him. Then again that might just be the boy’s jeans, but still).

“Me? An asshole? Since when?” he asked as he was shoved to Fer. Honestly he thought the two other boys loved it. It’s not like he crossed a line, didn’t he? Once in front of Fer, he stared straight into the shorter boy’s eyes and gave him a look of confusion and disappointment. “You ditched me? Why?”

No way was he initiating the kiss. He would probably reciprocate, but since apparently it was the Brazilian was behind all this, he’d have to show Romeo he’s sorry.

Oh, but Fer was not sorry. He was not going to say he was sorry nor he was going to comply to Michael and "kiss and make up" with Romeo. He was not a happy camper, he expected a romantic blind date dinner, and he was not going to be happy until he got one. So no kisses until the end of the date, for anyone, anymore. Michael should be happy Fer had already finished a glass of wine while the Californian was looking for Romeo, as if he hadn't, he might had gotten mad that the alcohol and the recipient were taken away from him.

"What-ever," he simply said before placing his hand in the picnic basket and pulling another bottle and glass of wine.

If Michael were to take them away, Fer would simply repeat his trick. They could play this game all day. Romeo's question pulled a "WTF" expression in the Brazilian's face. Wasn't it obvious why he got ditched? Even Michael himself had said it out loud, the Irish boy lacked a couple of neurons tonight, although in Fer's mind, maybe this wasn't something particularly new.

"Because you're an asshole and you're ruining my romantic date night," Fer said before deciding to ditch the glass into Michael's gravitational array and instead drink straight from the bottle... and he drank a lot. "So whatever, you're here, yay," he said in the most monotonous voice he could find. "Let's do this," he motioned at the romantic set-up he had made. "Let's have the date. I have wine, I'll survive it."

Michael sighed. "Okay, fine, you guys don't have to kiss, but you do need to make things right," he said sternly. Romeo and Fer were both his friends. He didn't want them to continue any hostilities.

Deciding not to fight it any longer, Michael sat down on the blanket and poured himself a glass of wine. "Okay guys, let's just put the past behind us, drink like crazy, and have a good time," he suggested, "can we do that or do I need to make a time-out corner?" He was joking of course. He wouldn't actually make a time-out corner... well... he might... but he figured he wouldn't have to. Romeo and Fer were not five-year-olds.

Michael took a few sips of the delicious wine. "This is a beautiful setup, isn't it Romeo?" he said, hinting that Romeo should toss out some compliments. "Fer really did a nice job, didn't he?"

Wait? This was supposed to be a date night? A romantic date night a that?

“Say what again?”

Sure there was Fer’s enigmatic smile in the beginning and the whole shebang about bidding on him at an auction, but a date? Like an actual date date? It honestly didn’t cross the Irish teen’s mind. “God, you two are so...” He wanted to say ‘gay’ but at the risk of making the two queens even angrier than they already were, he controlled himself, simply burying his face on his palm and shaking his head. “To be honest, I thought we’re just going to fuck or something.” That’s what the blindfold’s all about right? And sure the lake might be a rather cold place to do it, but he figured Fer had a cute little cabin they can stay with over the weekend. (Saturday-Sunday fuckfest anyone?).

The mention of the word ‘romantic’ really got him going, effectively washing away all the disappointment/anger he had for being ditched, to the point that he happily pulled Fer close for a bit, leaned in for a quick peck on the lips before sitting down on the mat. “I want some,” he said with a huge grin, grabbing a glass and poking Michael’s forehead with it. “It sure is. Very romantic indeed.” His voice was very amused and joyous, though it might’ve been too much to the point that it sounded rather sarcastic. (Which wasn’t his point. Honestly). “So what do you have for us next Fer? A five-course dinner served by men in tuxes and English accents? A string quartet suddenly appearing out of the bushes? A hot air balloon ride across the lake as the sun sets?”

"Whatever..." Fer kept repeating as the two boys complimented the set up he had made.

It was sad, truly, that he believed it had all been for nothing now. He took another, big, sip of his wine bottle and pointed at the one who was floating around Michael when Romeo decided he wanted some too. Stupid Romeo, he shouldn't even get wine. He sent another hate-stare at the Irish and continued downing his beverage. Romeo's question almost made him facepalm himself, but he managed to hold himself from doing so.

"Of course not," Fer said nonchalantly while raising an eyebrow.

Words said, the Brazilian took his cellphone from his pocket and started writing a text to a contact named "Carriage thingie". He typed, Cancel the carriage and the string trio. I'll pay you both tomorrow morning. Repeat: DO NOT COME TO THE LAKE, I'LL PAY YOU IN THE MORNING. He pushed sent and placed the electronic device back in his pocket before taking another rather large sip of his wine.

"There are gourmet sandwiches and cheeses," Fer accommodated himself in his spot while pointing at the straw picnic basket. "Help yourselves, I don't really feel like eating anyth..." Fer's face lightened red as he looked at the sky, and then blue and yellow and then red again. "Crap..."

He forgot to cancel the fireworks he had also ordered for the date.

Michael rolled his eyes at Romeo. Was sex the only thing the Irish teen could think about? He sighed and took a sip of his wine. He would probably need a lot more of it to maintain his sanity before the night was over. "You really did do a great job, Fer," Michael complimented again. "I didn't think you had it in you."

Seeing that there was some food, Michael took up one of the sandwiches and took a bite. "Did you make these?" he asked. "They taste great." He nudged Romeo. "Try one."

Then, seemingly out of nowhere the sky lit up and Michael heard the familiar boom of fireworks. "Woah," he said as he looked over at them. It took a him a moment to process things. He knew that there was no kind of holiday or celebration going on so that must have meant that... Fer ordered them for that date! "Fer, did you?" He smiled. "Dude, that's awesome! You really went all out for this date!" Michael leaned over and gave Fer a tight hug. "I definitely glad we won you now!"

And now he’s rolling his eyes? Damn. Who knew about half an hour was enough for Fer to impart some of his sass to Michael? (Because come on, Mike couldn’t be imbibed with that much attitude naturally. He just couldn’t, could he? Romeo should’ve noticed it already. Or was he really that dense?)

He wasn’t really in the mood for some sandwiches – he wasn’t really a sandwich type of guy, saying that they rarely fill him – but since Michael seemed so insistent in pleasing the rude bitch (yup, that’s how Romeo’s decided to name Fer in his mind for the meantime; and no, while him calling the Brazilian ‘bitch’ earlier was meant to be quite the compliment, this time it was pure insult) he decided to have one. And boy was it divine. But he’s still in the middle of a twisted tug-of-war with Fer, unspoken but definitely there, so he just couldn’t compliment it.

Maybe he’d ask how he made those after doing him one of these days. People tend to be more honest once they’re in the post-orgasmic haze right?

When the fireworks went off, Romeo almost spat his wine out. (It seemed like good wine so he held it in, almost choking him even). “Fireworks? Really?” he said between bouts of laughter, “Talk about overkill man. Were you like, I don’t know, thinking of proposing to either one of us after just the first date?” The fact that Michael was enjoying it so so much only made things more hilarious in his eyes. “Because if you weren’t, it’s not too late to think about it now. Seems like this one would say yes to whatever it is you’d do anyway,” he added as he wiped the tears off his eyes, “We don’t have champagne but this wine would do.”

“Also feel free to kiss and make out you two. I mean, with the amount of estrogen you two are pumping in the air right now, I feel like I’m watching some hot lesbian porn. I haven’t seen one in a while and I’m long overdue.”
