General Appearance: Robbie is a pretty good looking guy. Clean cut, always with a smile on his face. Style wise, he’s pretty average. Hoodies, printed tees, jeans and sneakers make up his entire wardrobe. But what gets to you is his face. Still ever youthful, Robbie’s face still has baby fat softening what should already be defined and his eyes still hold the kind of alarming innocence even though he’s anything but. He’s not exactly scrawny but the boy does need a little more meat in him. Don’t be fooled by his lack of muscles though, he can throw a mean punch when he sets his mind to it.
Personality: Uninhibited, flirtatious, gregarious, impulsive, suave and completely dense. There are more adjectives to describe Robbie and it would require a thesaurus and a dictionary, both of which he actually knows cover to cover. Robbie Wilkes grew up an inquisitive and intelligent boy but somewhere along the years, he realised that knowledge wasn’t important when you literally had the world quivering in your hand. He found the allure of his female peers a little too early in his years and found that it was easy to charm them as long as you knew the right words. And Robbie knew the right words. But despite his carefree persona, Robbie was somewhat a very careful person. In contrast to his uninhibited nature, he tries to keep his emotions in check lest he creates a drought or a tsunami in his anger or jubilation.
Your Vices
Likes:
- Girls. Did that really come as a surprise?
- Calligraphy. It soothes him.
- His powers. When he can control them, he doesn’t mind it too much.
- His siblings. He loves making them double over, giggling when he does his tricks.
- Reading. He can spend hours upon hours cooped up in his room with a good book. Not that he’d be willing to testify to that.
- Creating ripples in water. He loves the symmetry.
- Rain. It gives a nice sheen to everything afterwards.
- Daydreaming. What kid doesn’t, am I right?
Dislikes:
- Fish. He doesn’t like to watch it swim around in a tank. He doesn’t like eating it. He doesn’t like the word. It’s weeeird.
- Going back home for the holidays. His father’s silence is scary.
- Being rejected. He’s gone through it several times and the emotions that come after that are not pretty.
- Being told how to live his life.
- Bullies. Although he does always find acceptable reasons when he does it.
- His parents’ disapproval of his powers.
- Not being able to show his true emotions.
Strengths:
- He can take a hit. He wouldn’t go crying to mommy if someone punched him in the gut.
- He can keep his wits about him. Because he’s done it for so long, he can really keep himself calm and reasonable.
- He plays well with others. He’s pretty friendly so he gets along with any type of person.
- He minds his own business.
Weaknesses:
- Keeping secrets. All people have to do is distract him and he’ll spill the beans.
- He’s ill-adept at technology. He’s kind of scared that in the world they are currently living in, computers would come alive and rule the world.
- Math. His eidetic memory doesn’t let him compute numbers. It’s weird.
- He holds grudges if people accuse him of something he knows he didn’t do.
- He doesn’t think he’d be good at loving someone. The emotions he might feel would be a disaster. Literally.
Fears: Two things scare him. His parents turning his siblings against him and that any time he has to go back home, his family won’t be there.
Secret: He sometimes feels it would be easier for him if he could just get rid of his powers.

History
Agnes Carter-Wilkes knew right away that her baby boy was special.
How special, she had no clue but over the years, Robbie’s growth was accelerated. By 7 months old, he was already walking steadily. By thirteen months old, he could speak fluently and by three years old, he could read the dictionary, use some of the words in a sentence and Agnes never worried about him colouring out of the lines. If only his specialness stopped there.
When Harrison was posted back home, he was so proud of Robbie's accomplishment that he set the boy up in a private school for the gifted. Sadly, Robbie's gifts were not of the academic persuasion. But as he continued on his stay at the academy, he lived the life of a normal adolescent but slowly his academic pursuit dwindled when his attentions were averted to his female peers. He tried to maintain his average scores but soon he felt that it didn't do him any good so he started to get into all sorts of trouble. He got into fights, he spoke out of turn in class and he started failing his subjects on purpose.
A couple of days after his thirteenth birthday, Agnes was called to the academy with upsetting news. Robbie's classmate was in the hospital and Robbie was the only one around him at the time. Evidence pointed to the fact that lightning had struck where the boy was lying on the ground. The tree beside him was badly broken. Luckily the boy was not badly injured. No one could explain or even prove that it was Robbie and even he didn't know what had happened. But as a caution, the academy asked Robbie's parents to send him back home.
Since then, Agnes and Harrison were wary around Robbie and not knowing what to do with him, they set up a bunch of appointments for him with different professionals.
None of the doctors could see anything wrong with him because he was in all essence a perfectly healthy boy. They were already desperate for answers so they took him to see someone they had had doubts over and sure enough, he knew exactly what was going on. It didn’t take too long for Robbie to pack and leave for Hammel. It kind of helped that his parents threw everything he needed into a huge suitcase and pushed him out of the door.
It was a rough year for Robbie when he first arrived at Hammel with no one to talk to and his family not even writing or asking for him. He threw himself into his training for the first few months until he made a friend with a senior who was just as awkward as he was. The older boy taught him not to feel any smaller than his stature suggested and gave him his confidence back. Slowly but surely, the old Robbie came back.
He hadn't gotten close to anyone in particular, mostly because he knows the implications, given his power situation. But he's friendly enough to everyone he meets and doesn't assume the worst of anyone so if he did have any enemies, he doesn't know who. He figures as long as no one creates any problems with him, he's in a safe place in Hammel.
But now, everytime he goes back home, with the apprehension that his family wouldn’t be there, he can see the fear in his parents eyes even though they try their hardest to treat him like nothing happened.
Roleplay Example
"Hey midget."
Robbie ignored the taunt as he walked across the quad to get to his dormitory. The bully didn't give up so easily.
"Scared are we?"
"No, just a bigger person than you." Robbie mumbled to himself, not counting on the fact that the bully could hear him.
"What did you say?"
In a matter of seconds, Robbie was pulled back and punched straight across the face. A sickening pop was heard when the bully's knuckle made contact with the bridge of Robbie's nose. The blond boy reeled back, his heavy bag pulling him down. He was easily lifted off the ground and was treated to another punch that connected to his jaw.
Robbie pushed against the bully with all his might and started running. The trees across the quad made for perfect hiding places but the bully was too fast. Within minutes of running, Robbie was caught and just as he was about to get punched again, a clap of thunder shocked the bully back, dropping Robbie.
Robbie was furious. Something in him ignited and suddenly the tree beside him split at the trunk as lightning struck. Robbie didn't know where it came from and neither did his bully. Lightning didn't strike the same place twice, Robbie thought. And then it did. Robbie wanted to run but his feet wouldn't move. The bully was shocked too and before he could even say anything, another lightning struck, too close for comfort and part of the tree that was struck hit the bully straight across the gut, some of the splinters cutting into his clothes.
For a whole minute, all Robbie could do was stare at the other boy now on the ground, motionless. It took that long for people to gather and call for the principal.
"Mr. Wilkes, what happened?"
The question was asked three times before Robbie responded with a shrug. He was still in shock and when his mother arrived and scooped him into her arms, that was when Robbie shed his first tears in years.
