If it hadn't been for Nick's arm in front of her, Kadence would have hit that girl so hard she wouldn't be looking as pretty as she thought she did. Nick's threat could have been him teaching her a lesson or Kadi teaching her a lesson, honestly she'd rather be the one smacking the hell out of that skank because technically it was illegal if Nick did. Gosh and she just couldn't shut up! Kadi was so close to ducking under Nick's arm and beating the fuck out of this hooker. She had no idea how much trouble her mouth was going to get her in.

Finally she got the picture and started walking away, "Damn right, skank get your ass moving," Kadi called after her. She didn't give a crap if that girl wanted to start something with her, she'd gladly show the brunette how fun blondes could be when they were beating the hell out of a brunette.

She felt Nick's arm go around her and the desire to shake it off was pretty strong and honestly if it was anyone but him, she probably would have. Seeing as how it was her boyfriend and he was apologizing, she couldn't very well be angry with him. She wasn't happy about the situation, but everyone had a past that came back to haunt them. The way she saw it was what would he do if Mason came back into her life and tried that shit? He wouldn't be angry with her, he'd just want to beat the hell out of Mason. Which was how Kadence felt towards whoever the other girl was.

She let out a huff and wrapped her arms around Nick, "If that's how all the girls you slept with act towards me, I'm not making any promises that they'll all go totally unscathed. She's lucky she still has a face."

Nick had to admit, seeing Kadi getting as jealous as she did kind of made him proud to be her guy. He felt incredible lucky for having someone who cared about him that much that they'd get so overly jealous over something so small. Granted, he'd probably be just as jealous if it the roles were reversed, though he wouldn't just throw insults, he'd actually hit the guy. He looked over at her and smiled. ''Man, I'm so lucky for having you.''


He let out a small laugh and leaned his head against her shoulder. ''Go get 'em Tiger.'' He didn't really mind as long as she didn't get in trouble for it. It was quite the compliment she was giving him here, really feeding on to his ego. ''You'd only make me love you more.'' And there it was. It had escaped his lips before he could even think about. Love. Was that really how he felt about her? The constant feeling of butterflies flying around in his stomach, the insane happy feeling he felt whenever he saw her, and the serenity that laid itself over him when she smiled at him or touched him? He thought about it, and couldn't really come up with a reason for not loving her. She was perfect in every way possible. Yeah, she the girl of his dreams. The girl he wanted to marry and have beautiful little kids with.


''The necklace wasn't the only gift I brought tonight...'', he started off quietly and picked something up from his pockets. He placed his hand down on the table in front of it, and as he removed it a key was placed where it had been. ''I kind of... Found us an apartment. If you're interested of course.''

Kadence really hated being jealous. It was annoying and led to problems that were completely unnecessary. Back when she had been dating Mason he would flirt with girls just to get to her and in the end it caused her to be insanely jealous as a girlfriend. She was lucky that Nick was so understanding about it all. It was the same way she’d be if he got jealous over someone like that. Now if it was a friend that was a little different, but this definitely hadn’t been a friend.

When she heard the ‘l’ word slip from his lips, her eyes widened and she looked up at him. He hadn’t said it in the three words, but it was still kind of close enough. It didn’t exactly freak her out, but to say the least, she was surprised to hear it from him first. She expected to wait for months, maybe even a year with him until it was said and definitely thought she would be the one to say it. Who knew, maybe it would still end up that way. She did love him though, she always sort of had, but with the way things had been with them since they reconnected, she knew she did for real now. She just smiled at him and stroked the back of his neck lightly. He stood back up and dug once more into his pockets.

When he set the key down on the table, she stared at it. An apartment? For them? She tried not to freak out because this was Nick, but it was a big step. She had to think about it for a few minutes before she could say anything. And when she did, well it came out sort of weird, “Does it allow for puppies?”

He was feeling pretty out there about this. He had no idea what she'd respond, and when she finally did, her question made him laugh. And laugh. And laugh. ''Yeah, they do.'', he said between the laughs and wrapped his arm tightly around her shoulder. He kissed the corner of her lips and looked up at her with a huge grin. ''You have no idea how happy that makes me.'' Besides, Nick was just dying to meet her puppy. He loved dogs. He had the same thing with dogs and women had with babies. Puppy, puppy, puppy.

He took a sip from the beer he had bought and watched all the people who danced while shaking his head. ''You want me to do that?'' His eyes were wide and he rubbed the back of his head. Oh yeah, he needed aaaalot more to drink. That was certain. But hey, at least he had a good teacher, right? She had done this before. He hoped at least. God, he was going to make such a fool out of himself.

Kadence smiled and looked up at him, "You're going to love CoopCoop. He's a really good dog and I mean if you don't love him, I can ask my parents to keep him." She hoped that wouldn't be the case though. Cooper was just a tiny little thing and he really was a good dog. She wasn't sure how well she'd take to having to get rid of him. Of if her parents didn't want him, well she could ask Van and his boyfriend. They adored the little Australian Shepherd. He wrapped his arms around her and she couldn't help but smile wider, "I can't believe you actually are agreeing to this." She smirked at him and stretched up to kiss his lips.

After untangling herself from him, she wrapped both hands around the margarita glass and took a sip. Kadi looked out at the dancefloor and laughed. They were all dancing to a fast tune so naturally they all were moving fast, spinning, twirling, it was pretty crazy looking. But that wasn't exactly what she expected him to do. "Not necessarily, we'll wait for a slow song. I don't think I could even keep up with them at this speed," She had taken lessons, but still was on the beginner side of things. Slow was good for her.

''CoopCoop?'', he asked with a chuckle. That poor dog really needed some male company. And no, Van did not count. But Nick loved dogs, so he really didn't think it would become much of a problem. As long as it wasn't a chiahuahua or something like that. Oh yeah, she'd never be able to bring one of those rats into the apartment. ''Why wouldn't I? Even I understand that if I want some - I have to agree to the whole package. Besides... It's not like I haven't thought about getting my own dog.'' He kissed her back and smiled.

Finishing his beer in one, messy and drippy sip he chuckled. College style, awwyeah. He looked at the dance floor and tilted his head to the side. ''Good.'' He stood up and nodded towards the bar. ''Want something? I'm getting another beer. And yes - you do have to deal with my drunk ass when we get home.'' He winked at her and grinned. At least that could be fun.

"Hey, don't judge, Nickyyyy," She said with a smirk. Yes, she felt it necessary to emasculate all men and give them cutesy nicknames. CoopCoop, Nicky, Natey-boo, oh yes, she even had one for Nicholas' brother. Nathan was adorable and she just wanted to squeeze him. It was like looking at Nick when he was sixteen. And ew, Chihuahuas? No thanks, she liked bigger dogs. Australian Shepherds weren't giant, but they were decent sized. And the coloring was so unique, she just loved her Cooperman. "Damn straight, he's my boy. You don't love him, you don't get me," She said with a nod and a smile.

He finished his beer and she shook her head. College boys and their drinking. She was definitely used to that seeing as how they often came to the bar to get a good base for whatever party they had that night. Who knew, maybe she ran into some of Nick's friends before him. He asked if she wanted another drink and she nodded, "Get me a beer, too please. And I'm sure I'll survive your dumb drunken ass." She smiled at him and finished off her margarita. Yeah, she could only handle one of those things, tequila made her clothes fall off....

Well, if anything. At least the dog and the brothers could all sit together and share their emasculated pain. That was something, right? Nick just rolled his eyes at her and shook his head. ''Women.'' Well, if she was allowed to emasculate him, he was allowed to complain about it. Not that he really minded or anything. Heck, he knew he was manly enough for both of them. And he had a knock out body. ''I thought I was your boy.'', he said and looked at her with pouting lips and a pair of puppy eyes. Would it work? Probably not. She didn't seem like the type to fall for a pair of cute eyes and a trembling lip. Maybe crocodile tears could help? Nah... He wasn't a crier.

''Dumb drunken ass?! Woman please! You just happen to love my drunken ass. My ass is hawt.'', he said as he stood up and leaned over the table with a grin. He was totally not leaving before he heard her admit to just how incredible sexy he was. Not that he needed more of an ego than what he already had, it was still nice hearing it once in a while. Besides, he was out here about to dance and make a fool out of himself for her sake, the least she could do was give him a few compliments. And fill his ego. Yep.

Kadence raised an eyebrow at his word, "Women? Oh I know you didn't just lump me in with my gender." She didn't really care, it was just fun acting like she was a badass sometimes. Mostly because she knew she wasn't. Kadi laughed at his adorable pouty face and tapped her index finger on his lower lip. "You are my man, not my boy. Unless you know you want to switch with Cooper because you keep that up he'll be more manly than you and he's just a little puppy." She had to admit though, he was really adorable when he made that face and she almost cracked. Luckily she knew that trick, and she used it to her own advantage when she could.

"Stahp callin' me woman, man," She said with a laugh again and just gave him shrug. When he leaned over the table she tried not to laugh and even tried hiding the smile that was pulling up the corners of her mouth. Kadence cupped his jaw and leaned in enough to tease him with the closeness. "Though I will admit you're ass is very hot and so is everything else about you. And it's mine, I'll have you know," She closed the distance and kissed him before sitting back in her chair. Well she couldn't very well just have all the fun, she had to give him a few things too after all, he was planning on humoring her with this dancing.
