TR: Not Goofing Off, Really (Xavier and Lani)

Xavier had pain shoot through his arm every time it moved just a tiny bit. Then there was the constant throbbing of it that didn't go away as well. He scraps everywhere as well but couldn't feel those at all compared to the throbbing in his arm. Xavier had a headache as well and wasn't really feeling u to walking but knew he had to do it anyways.

Xavier had a good time playing catch and would probably laugh on it later, but he didn't want to repeat it ever again. It was brutal and it was a miracle that they both didn't end up with there necks cracked and burnt to ashes." I had a good arm, but thanks anyway." Xavier said sarcastically but through a lot of pain.

[Lani Hunter]

It was really getting annoying that he couldn’t stop shaking. It took all of his self control to not sprint to the infirmary leaving Xavier to fend for himself. Lani’s never be able to forgive himself if he had done something like that. Lani gave a pained smile in a wordless apology. Lani had broken his arm once, falling from a rooftop. He remembered the agony. He gave Xavier a sympathetic look. “The faster we get there, the better.” Lani told him, hopefully they had one of those people that could heal things quickly in there. Xavier needed it more than Lani did. Burns dulled and healed quickly but broken bones took weeks, even months to heal properly.

This was one of those moments that they would look back on and laugh. Lani was certainly going to remember this pain, though. He always seemed to have to learn lessons the hard way. “What grade are you?” Lani asked, the slight conversation doing well in keeping his mind occupied and off of the pain. Doors. They were approaching doors. His power hissed at him when he touched it but really he wasn’t much in the mood for an argument. He pushed through the pain and the doors swung open for them. What a sight they must be! Lani felt like a zombie, his arms hanging with useless hands attached, staying rigid in attempts to keep the pain away. His walking was slow and he had a burnt bulls eye on his chest. Then there was Xavier walking as best he could without hurting his arm.

At least it wasn’t in the middle of class change or anything and the halls were deserted. Lani didn’t like to think of what might happen if someone saw them. Hopefully they would at least have enough sense to help and not hinder their travels to the infirmary. Why did a few steps down the hallway feel so long?
