''Oh yeah, you bet.'', she said and rolled her eyes, still trying to get that bottle out of his hands, but he kept pulling it away. 'Ha, funny.'', she said and leaned back up. She didn't quite know how to react to how easily he joked about his father's death. But then again, she'd probably do the same thing about her parents. It was a way of coping with things, making them seem less... Painful. And luckily, he tossed the bottle back into his back and she settled back down where she had been sitting before. She offered him a smile and looked away once more.
She wasn't quite sure if she believed she was the first, but she wasn't going to set questionmarks behind what he was saying. Besides, it was a lot better if she just took the compliment and let it be at that. ''As am I.'' She truly was. Not only because she got to spend more time with him, but also because it was nice coming out of her shell every once in a while, and do things she normally wouldn't have. Gosh, she could just imagine her parents expression if they had known about this.
She could see him moving closer from the corner of her eye. Her entire body tensed up as she followed his every movement. She turned her head slowly to look at him, not quite sure how to react to the look he had in his eyes. Even if she could see it coming miles away, she was still unprepared. And as his hand sought out her neck and pulled her in, she completely surrendered to his touch and closed her eyes. It was a perfect ending to a perfect evening.
