Lucy had few places she actually felt comfortable. Her room was one; despite how often it had been commandeered in the past, it was finally hers again. And the studio was the other. Sometimes the throws of her room weren't big enough for certain projects. Sometimes she was just overly pissed at her roommates. They were quiet for the most part, but that didn't do them any favours. Why couldn't she live with her friends? Who knew she'd ever want that to be a thing, anyway?
Hell, Nica was still surprised she even had close friends. Had she really changed that much?
Settling the latest energy drink of choice down on the table surface, Lucy reeled back in her seat, stretching her arms above her head for a much needed break. She couldn't sit hunched over a sketchbook forever, despite how badly she wanted to. She twisted the pencil in her hand, grimacing as she brought it forward to look at it closely. It looked a little blunt already. That meant getting up for a sharpener soon. "So stupid." She muttered to herself, never really feeling happy with devices she couldn't control with powers. But she couldn't always rely on the ability, right?
Ugh, but she missed paint. On her hands. And weirdly enough, in her hair.
Leaning forward again, the eldest Serrano daughter pressed the tip to the paper before glancing back up at the door briefly. There was a familiar body - one that was bound to interrupt the quiet of the vacant room. Still, she smiled at the fact anyway. But quickly she changed her expression; Lucy feigned surprise, raising her eyebrows and widening her eyes for good measure. "You know how to use doors!?" The shock. The horror! "Who taught you that?"
