"Yeah, I dance. Well...I wouldn't call the shit we did in the subway dancing, but it was something. People liked it." Though Oriel definitely wasn't on the team. He'd been it rolling around in his mind, however, ever since he started getting together with Hay-lin. "Thought you knew that." Then again, it was a different crowd than the one Kodah hung with. It was no surprise, considering Oriel tended to float between a bunch of different ones.
Things were not going nearly as well as Oriel had hoped, and Madison's stupid little glib tongue was the cause of it all heading down the path to hell. Oriel downed the wine glass, swung around to face Madison and pointed a stern finger, just right after Kodah had given his each-word-a-whole-sentence warning. "Madison! You shut the fuck up, right now!!" Oriel wasn't holding back his frustration with the boy on the couch anymore, but apparently it was too much to hope that Madison would comply with either of their "requests".
As Kodah's expression started shifting as he started putting two and two together about the relationships that every single person in this room seemed to have with each other...well, by now, even Oriel was on the verge of exploding over that, but all he had was a snappy tongue. Kodah, on the other hand, had a mean right hook, no inhibitions about fighting, and....fire breath.
Fun.
And Madison just couldn't keep his prodding comments to himself.
"Mads, if you don't shut your fucking mouth right now, I'm gonna feed you that shit-soup with a goddamn turkey baster shoved right down your fucking esophagus, and then fucking sodomize you with your own dirty dick!" And of course, all of these beautiful words of affection were shouted at the exact moment that yet another person decided to join them and utter out her "hellos" from the doorway. Leave it to Kodah to give her the "warm" welcome.
Oriel shot the blondie a glance then looked away, barely recognizing her as yet another from the dance team that he was a "member" of. With steaming fumes practically shooting from his ears, Oriel turned back to the table and poured the last of the wine that Penelope had brought and headed over to the girl, sliding up to her, putting an arm around her shoulder and holding out the glass for her to take.....only to pull it away from her and take it for himself. Then he gave her a little push further inside. "C'mon in, the water's fine," he invited with a steely tone in his voice.
As if she could make this any worse.
