Early Bird Gets the Worm (Lux)

Halloween shops were already opening up, costumes were being displayed, commercials promoting the holiday were already beginning. Why not get an early start on finding a nice costume for the Halloween dance? This was assuming that she'd actually go, though she wasn't entirely sure she would. It wasn't like she'd have a date or anyone that would actually want to go with her. All of her guy friends would have girls that they wanted to bring. Over all, she didn't understand why she was bothering with this, but she had a good excuse. It was Halloween, her fathers always threw a party and she had someone to help her with finding something cute, too.

Luxanna agreed to coming with her without much begging needed. Seemed they both were looking for cute costumes, for whatever reason. Ellie didn't know if Lux planned on going to the annual dance or not, but either way, it never hurt to be prepared for anything. One could never be sure that they wouldn't get asked to a school dance. Though it wouldn't have surprised Ellie if Lux got asked by a bunch of boys. It seemed like she was always followed by at least one. Lux was much like her though, oblivious to the attention she was getting. It sucked that she could see it happen to others, but never saw it when it was her.

Sitting outside of the mall entrance, Elisia waited for her newly made friend to arrive. It was nice having a girl to hang out with, she found that she had far too many guy friends. Carter, Robbie, Riley, and now Zac? She was constantly hanging out with boys, but she knew that none of them would be of much help finding her something cute. Thankfully she'd met Cart's roommate. Who'd have thought after such an awkward first meeting they would become fast friends? Then again, Ellie guessed there wasn't much of a reason for them not to be. She looked around again, searching for the brunette.

Halloween. Lux had never celebrated Halloween. Which was weird, seeing as how much she adored scary stuff. Maybe it was the costumes that threw her off. She wasn't really much of a person who enjoyed dressing up, or even wearing make up. But, she couldn't exactly say she wasn't looking forward to it, because there was candy, scary stuff and people she liked. What was there to not enjoy? Maybe she'd even be able to scare the shit out of Oriel. Wouldn't that have been incredible hilarious?

Having a girl friend however, that was probably the best part. Well, having a girl friend who didn't try feeling her up. Lux really enjoyed being around Ellie, because they were so similar. Unlike all of the other people Lux hung around, Ellie was as naive and adorable as she was. And they really clicked. Sure, their first meeting had been a little awkward, but even so, they had become friends quickly and Lux hadn't regret it for a second. Which was probably one of the reasons for why she had agreed to go 'shopping' with the brunette.

Arriving at the mall, Lux looked around for her friend, and once she finally found her sitting outside the entrance, she skipped over with a grin on her lips. ''Hey there.'', she said cheerfully and sat down next to the other girl. ''Sorry I'm late. I had some trouble finding my way.'' And trying to avoid falling everywhere.

Ellie spotted Lux right as the other girl seemed to spot her. Offering a wave she smiled as the girl came closer. She sat down and Ellie turned to face her as she spoke. "Oh no, it's fine. We probably could have come together, but I didn't think of it before." Because she had far too much on her mind as of late. It was a wonder her brain hadn't exploded yet from all of the craziness that had just recently happened. Honestly she didn't know what she was getting herself into.

Shaking herself mentally, she smiled, "So are you ready? Any ideas for a costume?" Because she had next to none. That was even if she went to the dance. Alone or with someone, she didn't know. More than likely her fathers would encourage she go either way, but she didn't have a whole lot of friends that she could hang out with if she went alone. Most of her friends had someone that would more than likely ask them, both guy and girl. And then there was Ellie who was caught in the middle of two (three?) boys that she could potentially have ask her to go. There was really only the one that she wanted to go with though, even if it was probably a terrible idea.

"Did anyone ask you? I mean I know it's kind of early-ish, but some guys ask super early so they make sure they get the girl they want," And sometimes they waited last minute because they didn't care either way. Ellie couldn't understand some boys. They were all a mystery to her.
