The weather was overcast. Moody grey clouds slowly rolled overhead as a distant rumble quaked across the sky. A storm was passing, the heavy curtain of rain passing over the mountains like a big wet blanket. Hammel was still dry, and would be for a while, but the smell of rain and rather drab climate encouraged the motley collection of students to avoid the outside...well more than they usually did. Only a few hung around the courtyard, some were reading, drawing or hiding behind corners and kissing, standard Hammel activities really.
Evony, however, was doing none of these things and although the thought of making out with someone on school grounds should have been tempting, all it left was a bitter taste in her mouth. The dainty acrobat was perched atop one of the park benches, her body curled up as she wistfully watched the clouds pass by. What was once bright blue hair had faded into a dull and pale aqua, now resembling her more natural and boring hair colour. The girl hadn't been bothered to recolour it, there wasn't much point.
Well, she hasn't exactly bothered to do anything worthwhile as of late.
Writing letters to her father only left her with half completed scraps of paper on her bedroom floor and 'shopping' was not the grand challenge it used to be. Dancing did take the girl's mind of things, but only for so long...soon enough her body would ache and her mind would return to the thinking about...
Well it didn't matter apparently, not anymore anyway.
She simply needed to get out of her room, so the courtyard just next to it seemed the best option to get away from everything.
With her head rested against the backboard of the bench the Blue Bird lazily gazed at her surroundings, neither paying attention to anything in particular or doing anything meaningful. The porcelain skinned girl just sat and watched.
