Silently listening to his words, Luxanna took a deep breath and relaxed. She wasn't going anywhere rambling like this, but at least it seemed as if the older boy understood her. Not that it came as any surprise or anything, he wasn't exactly the dullest knife in the shelf, that much even her naivety and apparent ignorance had caught on on.

She would have nodded, thought it seemed rather pointless considering she had her face pressed down against the bed. As she felt the bed shift, and Carter spoke again, Lux turned her head slightly to look at him. ''I suppose that makes sense.'', she admitted and narrowed her eyes. That would surely explain why her body always acted without the permission of her body. So to speak, anyways. ''Yeah.'' It made sense.

She wanted to scoff at his next statement, but her better sense of judgement told her it was wiser not to. Sure, she understood what he was saying and what it meant, she just didn't understand what there was to be afraid of. She was well aware of his reputation, and that there would never be anything more than, well, this. Was the danger her ending up with a broken heart? Or playing with fire? Ok, so maybe she didn't understand it entirely, but she understood the gist of it, right? ''Never underestimate the allure of darkness, even the purest of hearts are drawn to it. Right?'', she said, smiling only as if to show it was a badly tasting joke.

Lux rolled onto her back as well and focused her gaze on the ceiling. ''I'm sorry for judging you.'', she began silently. ''You didn't deserve it.''

When Luxanna finally looked at him, all Carter could do was smile at her. No tricks. No games. Just a genuine smile.

Had she scoffed, Carter wouldn't have known how to take it. What she said instead seemed to legitimately surprise him. It didn't irk him, per se. Surprise emanated from his eyes more than anything else. Was that really how she saw him? Or herself, for that matter? Though she smiled, Carter wasn't sure if he should believe it. Nevertheless, he exhaled an involuntary, short chuckle.

It was absurd.

Though he missed the sight of her eyes, Carter relished in the fact that she was as close as she was. And that she seemed comfortable there. "There's no need to apologise." Carter replied lightly, reaching out and eventually finding her arm.

"Judgement is simply human nature." He added. His fingertips followed the contours of her arm, finding her hand and trailing patterns across her palm. "Learning to ignore it is imperative."

No, it wasn't really how she saw him. Well, not entirely anyways. He could be viewed as darkness, but not in that good and evil kind of way, more like... Okay. She had no clue. Her head was a mess, and the fact that he was so close didn't really make it any better. She needed a cold shower, or...something. Gah, she couldn't focus. At all. (Well, other than on him anyways).

Lux wasn't quite sure how to react to his touch. Normally, she would have flinched at such a gesture, or crawled away out of sheer awkwardness, but nothing. She didn't even blush. She found herself enjoying it. Maybe more than she should have, maybe not. She wasn't quite sure. At least it didn't feel bad, and that was... Okay. ''All right.''

Turning her head to look at him finally, she thought about what he said and nodded slightly. ''But excusing it as human nature.. Isn't that a little cowardly?'', she asked and narrowed her eyes. It seemed too... Simple, perhaps. To just dismiss it as being human nature. It was almost like saying that it was okay. And it surely didn't feel okay.

But all that aside, there was still something besides all that, that Lux was still curious about. The question lingered on her tongue, but she was unsure how to format it, and maybe even a little scared to ruin the 'mood'. And maybe... Maybe she was scared of the answer, or that it would be a question answered with a question, or an answer she wouldn't understand. Was it worth it? Maybe not. Would she regret it if she didn't ask? Definitely.

''Why...'', she began, but stopped, only to take a deep breath. ''Why are you here?''

Carter took her question on, remaining silent for a time as he gave it a decent amount of thought. Normally he was short with his answers; direct enough to shoot down the opinion of another person. because he was always right. "It, like many things, is an inevitability." Carter started carefully, "Fighting the inevitable is futile. There are something's we can't control." But dammit all if he wouldn't try.

He revelled in the silence between them for as long as she allowed it to last. But he knew she was going to question him again eventually - once she found her nerve. It wasn't a mood killer.

Rather, her confidence enhanced the air about her.

"Because I find you alluring." Carter replied simply, exhaling the rest of his air on a sigh. "Enthralling. You capture my attention. Your face. Your voice. You're simply captivating." And it felt revitalising to be able to say it. But nevertheless, he kept his blue eyes fashioned to the ceiling. His voice remained low, quiet.

Like everything he said was just for her; "For me, you feel like an inevitability."

''I see.'', she responded silently. It made sense, it always did. ''So, everyone is, have been or is going to be judgmental, and there is nothing they can do about it?'' Well, that was saddening. She didn't want to be the kind of person that judged before knowing. She had done that too many times already, which was probably the worst part of it all. She had gone through her short life, thinking she was the kind of person who didn't judge people based on things she didn't know, yet, here she was, apologizing for doing exactly that.

And just like that, Carter had blown her expectations across the world, tossed them around, thrown them to the moon and back and taken it for a trip to the core of earth. She was speechless. Well, more like she didn't know what to say. Or what to think. Or even what to do. Almost like a reflex, Lux sat up and turned her head to look away, processing everything he said.

After a moment of silence, she finally turned to face him again. Deciding to push all thoughts away and simply do. She wasn't going to question it, nor give it a second thought, instead, she leaned forward and closed her eyes. Her fingers dug into the sheets, as if she was trying to keep herself from floating away. She couldn't believe she was doing this again. Last time had been such a 'heat of the moment', and now? Right, she wasn't going to question it, just do.

And that was exactly what she did as her lips once again claimed his.

"You wanted honesty." Carter replied lightly. He opted for a calmer tone; it seemed like this information was new to her. But of course it was. It took a lot to learn what he knew. He was fortunate to have the desire to experience everything he could take with the life he was given.

In the silence, Carter's fingertips continued trailing across her skin, slowly along the line of her forearm before back down to her hand. He always found hand holding a curious way to show affection. He had his own ways, as he showed her now.

Words weren't always secondary. He almost felt exposed as he explained who she was to him.

Carter turned his attention towards her finally. In the next moment, she was kissing him. He barely took the time to be surprised - because surprise didn't suit him - before he reacted. Carter kissed her back willingly, shifting in his position to lean in towards her. His hand instinctively reached up and pressed against her cheek. Though he knew he should be cautious, he temporarily lost the concept as his leg shifted across to sit comfortably between hers.

Despite the move, he was very aware that the power in this moment was all hers. To see her use it was just as enthralling.

This was nothing like it had been the first time. Back then it had been more of an angrily fist throw, as if she had tried proving something, not only to him but also to herself. It had been a surprise to her, and it hadn't exactly been well-planned. At that time, she hadn't even been sure if it had been something she wanted to happen, or even liked. Now though, now everything was different.

Now she was well aware of every movement, thought and action. Carter had made her realize that it had been something she wanted, and since it had happened once already, she wasn't so flustered about it anymore. But even so, she was just as lost in the moment now as she had been back then. The location was also something that played it's rightful piece; It felt a little safer, a little more comfortable.

Pulling slightly back so she could catch her breath, her hand let go of the sheets and ended up resting on his shoulder. She could feel her cheeks reddening, but didn't pay it much attention. She was curious. Genuinely curious, about everything. ''I find you alluring too.'', she said simply with a sigh, her hand rising to his chin. She ran her finger along the line of his jaw, gently caressing it before leaning in again.

Carter was somewhat relieved when he realised she didn't seem afraid of him. It was the way things seemed to go with girls like her; but he knew already that she was different. And thinking she would flinch or shy away was the very thing he'd been trying to combat this whole time. She was just a person. Just a girl, not a fragile waif the entire world needed to tiptoe around.

She - like other girls - needed affection. And he wanted to be the one to give it to her.

Nevertheless, he allowed her catch her breath. He needed it too. He paid no mind to the colour on her cheeks. "I'm flattered." He said genuinely. Though he found himself staring at the way she caressed the contours of his face. It was... An oddity. Most people didn't bother with the gentle inflections. So finally, she caught him by surprise.

When she kissed him again, he seemed to change. It was different. Different to a minute ago, and to moment by the tree in the woods. He was gentle, as attentive as she had been only moments ago when she trailed along the lines of his features. His free hand searched for hers, entwining their fingers together as he kissed her.

She deserved the best - him at his best.

Not being treated like a vulnerable puppy that couldn't do anything on her own was a nice change of pace. Maybe she was socially awkward and shy, maybe she flailed and blushed a lot, but that didn't necessarily mean she enjoyed being babied and belittled. And the fact that Carter didn't, or at least, tried not to was something she was grateful for.

Lux's hand stayed in its position on his chin, no longer tracing the lines of his jaw, but instead testing the waters, so to say. Instead, she moved her fingertips further up his chin, only to stop at his cheek and then finally dropping to his neck. The entire experience was new to her, but she wasn't going to waste her time worrying about whether her hands was in the way or not, but instead just letting her body do whatever it wanted. His hand in hers caused her to smile, letting a slight, soundless giggle escape her lips.

In Lux's eyes, it wasn't about deserving it or not, it was about wanting it. Though, a little part of her was hoping he would take full control of the situation, because the girl had no idea what she was doing anymore.

The feel of Luxanna's fingertips across his skin sent a number of sensations through his body. Truthfully, Carter didn't expect her to be so generous. He felt oddly cared for. The change of pace wasn't bad, per se. It was distracting.

He responded to her laugh with a low rumbling chuckle of his own.

The way he kissed her grew more passionate with each passing moment. He tried not to overpower her with the way he was situated, so in a shift movement he held onto her waist and rolled her onto him. He ran his hands along the contours of her back, trailing back down to her thighs, across the hem of her dress.

Deftly moving, but the twin wasn't about to go where he wasn't wanted.

At the change of pace and positions, it was as if Luxanna's head became a little less clouded and hazy. For a moment, she asked herself whether or not this was what she had wanted. She didn't know. She had been curious - sure, and clearly, charmed as well. But something was missing and she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Leaning upwards, Luxanna placed both of her hands on his chest. She tilted her head to the side and pursed her lips, trying to figure out the best way to form her question. But, instead, she chose to just go with it.

''What are we doing?'', she asked, her voice lacking any huge indicators to any form of emotion.

Carter instinctively leaned upwards to try and capture her lips again when she drew away, but her hands were against this chest. She had him pinned. His eyebrows knit together with confusion.

He knew that look.

Her voice was devoid of any real indication. Carter could have given any number of charming, witty answers if she'd only just shown she wanted that side of him. If she'd proved to want to be convinced this was the right thing.

His tone lack would lack pressure. It adapted to the moment. She could call the shots, and he'd legitimately let her. "Anything you want." He replied, too genuinely for his own good. "I'm yours."

A smirk formed on her lips as she leaned forward to brush her lips against his, only to pull away again a second later. ''Oh yeah?'', she asked a little more confidently than what she had intended. She wasn't quite sure what was going anymore, but instead of questioning her every move, she decided to simply let go and follow her instincts.

Whether those instincts were good or bad, she didn't know.

''I have to admit-'', she began, the smirk widening a little. ''-I never expected you to be this submissive.'' It was a surprise, honestly. And here she had expected to lose all ounces of control and be swooped off her feet.

Luxanna leaned forward again, this time placing her lips on the line of his jaw, slowly nipping at it.

"Yeah." Carter repeated, slacking in his vocabulary for the sake of repetition.

Carter's eyebrows raised slightly when she called him submissive, the corner of his mouth pulling into an amused grin. At the very least, the Chevalier could be glad she was finding the means to enjoy herself. For a second there he'd actually thought he'd gone too far.

He tilted his head back slightly when she pressed her lips against his jawline; "Don't start something you don't intend on finishing, love."

Sitting back up again and removing her hands from his chest in the process, Lux tilted her head to the side once more before pursing her lips. She didn't know if she wanted to start something or not. That was the problem.

Like someone suddenly flipped a switch, Lux pulled further back, sliding off him and leaned against the wall. She blinked a little confusedly before rubbing the back of her neck. Her awkward personality finally returning. ''Okay.'', she replied silently. The wall was back up and she sat there wondering what she was doing. She was overly confused with her own actions, both her pulling back and her actually considering going there.

It just seemed... Too easy, perhaps?
