Yeah Zach was stubborn! How else did Kai think he managed to get this far in life? How else did he think Zach managed to get into college and even graduate with minimal help from his parents? How else did he think he was able to keep up with going to school full time, helping his family, maintaining somewhat of a social life, hold a part-time job, and do all the other things that people constantly roped him into? Zach was patient, steadfast, and too downright stubborn to let any of the shit that popped up in his life keep him from reaching his goals. He worked hard! And maybe....maybe he wanted to make sure that Kai knew that about him...even if it was only through amazing sex.

Another silent gasp came from his lips as Kai trailed his up to his ears and tickled the skin there, ending with a sharp pull on the lobe. Why couldn't he say what Kai wanted him to? Zach wasn't sure he even knew, being embarrassed seemed like too sissy a reason to Zach. But it was still a reason. "I..." he started to say, before falling silent again. His eyes flutterd shut again with the next kiss and stayed there as Kai finally relented. Inwardly, Zach was relieved. Outwardly, he was still so incredibly frustrated with this impossible person on top of him, even more so when he had the gall to state the obvious like it was some sort of holy revelation!

Zach grumbled for a moment before finally lifting his head. "Th--then why are you still dawdling!?" he cried, his expression tense with true exasperation. He lowered his own head into Kai. "Let's just...do it already! I'm going...I'm going crazy here with all your stupid teasing!" What to do next but turn his face into Kai's and meet their lips again? So that's what he did, drinking up that man like he was dying of thirst.

Kai thought he was a pretty impressive person, but.... Compared to Zach, he was nothing. Sure he worked hard enough, and made sure he put on a good front to do what needed to be done, but he had a lot of help from his family (monetarily, not necessarily emotional). Zach had gone though a lot. And as soon as Kai fully realized this, he would be even more smitten with this weirdly perfect guy that he still knew so little about.

Well... He knew how to get a reaction from him, at least, even if Zach was still too stubborn to say exactly what Kai wanted. And he realized that was alright. He didn't need it... As much as he wanted it. It was just another thing that made him even more attracted to Zach... This defiance, if that's what it truly was.

Kai flinched back as Zach finally said more than two words, surprised by the intensity. What he was saying, though, made Kai's heart leap in his chest, and his expression lifted, clutching the back of Zach's head as he came in close. "Okay... Okay," he breathed, unable to say anything else as their lips met again, this time from Zach's doing. It was deep, passionate, full of all of Kai's desire, and the Asian man held it as he slipped his other hand down to peel off Zach's shirt, tossing it aside with only a gasping break from the kiss before he dove in again. He clung to Zack's pale, warm body as his back twitched and shook with a sudden pain, and Kai groaned and cried out as his wings exploded from his shoulder blades in a flash of black and umber feathers. "I'm... Gonna make you mine..." he breathed harshly, his eyes wild and fierce with emotion.

Ugh….Zach couldn't believe himself. He'd actually said something close to what Kai wanted him to, though it'd been different enough and sharp enough for it to be somewhat easier to say. But the aftereffects were still the same, god, Zach could feel the fire in his face from giving in like that and sending such a clear and straightforward message to this pushy guy.

Hence the kiss. It was distracting from the redness that was spreading through his cheeks and down his neck. His head so easily fogged up so that no coherent thought dared shine through while he was kissing Kai so passionately. Zach pushed into it just as much as Kai had been before, maybe even more so, until they broke so that Kai could remove Zach's shirt, revealing that smooth and whitewashed skin, only to jump right back into it with even more fervor. Zach lifted his hands to cradle up around Kai's face, wrapping one around his neck to hold himself up.

They stopped again when Kai released a sudden moan and Zach snapped back, practically letting himself fall back to the floor, upon seeing those large black wings spread out from behind that dark man. At his words, Zach snapped up to look Kai in the face again, his own chest heaving in breathlessness, and suddenly feeling very small. Like a spider about to be devoured by a large crow.

A small smile formed on Zach's lips as he nodded and slowly reached his hand up to hang from Kai's neck again, pulling him down into yet another long passionate kiss.

Yep, Kai was ecstatic with the yell he'd managed to get out of Zach. And the flush spreading across the guy's cheeks and down his throat just made him grin, basking and gloating in his victory, even if he'd sort of given in himself when he'd broke seeing Zach's frustration earlier. Nope, this was all going just fine, and Kai was going to enjoy it immensely.

Kai prided himself in usually being able to keep his head, even during great sex, which let him keep himself in control of the situation to best respond to his partner and please them in the way he thought best. But like Zach, his head was going fuzzy just from kissing, already imagining what the next half-hour, hour, however long was going to feel.

And.... Normally the wings didn't come out so soon. They usually appeared during the peak of it, so Kai was surprised himself by their popping out. Whatever, he'd work with it. At least Zach didn't seem to mind.

With those thoughts in mind, he let himself fall back into their passion, curling himself around Zach, holding him close, intimately, relishing each and every twitch and sound coming from his dark-haired lover, until he eventually let his hands slide down, down his soft, tempting figure, to finally get the real fun started....

At some point the two men had changed locations from the floor of the living room to the more comfortable, bouncy services of the bedroom. Zach buried his face into the sheets, wrapping his arms around his head and holding it down in shame. "What....am I doing?" he muttered, his voice muffled by the linens under him. With a sigh, Zach lifted his head and rested his cheek on his fist as he lounged stomach down on the bed. "This is all your fault, you know?" Yup, totally Kai's fault.

Mmmmm... That had totally just happened. And Kai was basking in the aftermath. While he was still getting used to this guy-on-guy stuff, he had enough experience otherwise to make it seem like he'd done it more (at least he thought he did), and, considering how much Zach had seemed to enjoy it, well... Kai was happy with himself.

And now he was resting on his back in his bed, arms crossed behind his head, the sheets tangled up around his legs and just above his hips. It was incredibly hot in the room, and the recent activities had done nothing to make his perspiration evaporate. He smug smile toyed around his lips, threatening to break into a grin if Zach were to say one word.

When he did, Kai rolled over onto his side to face him, throwing a thick arm out to capture Zach underneath. "Yeah, yeah, sure it is," he snickered, running his fingers through the tips of Zach's damp hair. "You going to make me pay for it or what?" His eyes sparkled as he gazed at his lover, teasing him to start bickering again. Knowing Zach, he'd definitely have something to say before he let Kai pass out and sleep, although the Asian man felt awfully awake now anyway. "Mmm.... You sure you don't do this often?" he hummed, trailing his fingers down the man's spine. "Could've fooled me. You looked... And sounded... Amazing." And there was another playful, smug grin.

Zach grumbled as his accusations was promptly dismissed and then mocked by the Goliath of a man laying next to him and he turned his face away, ignoring the feel of Kai playing with his mussed up hair. "I might," he said, his contempt unhidden. Though with what, Zach couldn't even imagine.

Aaand now came questions. The ones he didn't know how to answer. Zach let his head flop face first into the bed. "I'm sure...." Kai wasn't his first sexual experience, especially not with a man, but....Zach still didn't have a lot of experience. "I've only....before you..." Damn, how to say this. "Twice." He chuckled halfheartedly. "I'm....I'm a pathetic 23 year old man who has only managed to get laid twice." Well, three times with Kai...no, four.

"Gee, thanks," he mumbled with a roll of his eyes, still very irritated with the man beside him. Zach would have returned the compliment, awkward as it would be, but...really, Kai didn't need another reason to get a big head.

The only good thing about all this is that now Zach was more relaxed and less...uptight and awkward. "But seriously," he started, finally turning to face the Asian man, "Did you have to jump me the second I came through that door?" Zach waved his hand forward to accentuate his point.

In response to Zach hiding his face again, Kai promptly pulled himself closer and nuzzled his face into Zach's hair, still chuckling lightly at the man's grumbling. While he knew a lot of people that slept with many different lovers on a regular basis like himself didn't do the whole after-sex cuddling and intimacy, he'd always been the type to do it; he didn't know why. He liked it, but it sure made it easier to get attached, too. Especially now...

His eyes went softer and more curious as Zach answered his question. He hadn't been expecting such an honest response, and he... Well, it sent a weird tickle down his stomach that he couldn't quite explain. "Mm... Everyone has different experiences," he mumbled, not put-off by Zach's answer in the least. "That doesn't make you pathetic," he added a little quickly. "Don't... Don't say that about yourself." His mouth turned into a frown, musing. "I... Honestly, you know, it makes it more special when you've done it with fewer people, I think..." Didn't keep him from bedding as many people as he could, but he was sort of envious of those that had one or a few special people in their lives that they actually connected with, rather than just random strangers.

Now he was flushing, and it was Kai's turn to mash his face into his soft, expensive downy pillow, loosening his embrace around Zach as he pulled back slightly.

He peeked up one eye as Zach spoke again, giving an embarrassed grin. "Couldn't help it," he mumbled, tracing a finger along the line of Zach's arm. "I know you wanted to talk but... I didn't want to wait." He blinked slowly and gave a yawn, before focusing his attention on the other man again. "What was it you wanted to talk about? I promise I won't pounce you again." Nope, not until... Maybe tomorrow.

The feel of Kai's weight on his back was…comforting. It shouldn't be, Zach should be furious and pushing him away. He should be jumping out of bed like last time and get out of there as soon as possible…no, wait, now that he thought about it, wouldn't that make it seem even more like a booty call? All wanton-like, wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am? Or man, in this case?

Zach groaned again, appalled at himself. There's no way he was going to get out of this, was he? If he left, then Zach was nothing but a shameless slut, if he stayed, then he'd be forced into possibly doing more things that he was not used to and not sure if he was okay with yet.

He sighed, turning his head to the side and laying it flat on the mattress. "Yeah….they were special. First time was with my best friend, back in high school. We were curious and didn't want our first times to be with…you know, some random person that we'd end up regretting. Then…" Why was he actually going into this? Zach hadn't shared that with anyone. "Then this last semester I meet this girl. It wasn't planned, it just kind of….happened one night but…yeah, that was nice too." He nodded, lifting his head and resting his chin under his hands. "We're really good friends now. That's…who I was buying for…today…"

Zach had to hold back a laugh when Kai collapsed, though there was a hint of a smile. "Really," he said, closing his eyes and shaking his head, somewhat vexed. "You're so impatient. You could have waited until after we talked. And…you said you were going to make dinner! I was expecting a hearty meal wafting around when I came through that door, not your….shiny…man-pecs!!" Zach kept up with the hand, holding it out and waving it around like it illustrated everything.

He sighed again. "Exactly what I said before, my family!" Zach paused. "I wouldn't….I wouldn't have used it…as a...an excuse….if I didn't think it was important." God, did he really just admit that out loud?

Oh no, Zach wasn't going anywhere if Kai had anything to do with it. He'd had a hard enough time the last time when Zach had left abruptly the next morning; he fully intended to keep him here for the night this time. And he made that clear by keeping Zach engaged, touching him, giving him tired, dorky grins that he'd only give in this sort of situation. Zach should feel honored, really - not too many people got to see Kai like this.

And if Zach wasn't okay with something, Kai hoped he would speak up. As forward and pushy as he was... He wanted to make sure the other man was enjoying himself, too. It was all about consent; that was a big deal to the Asian man, even if he may not seem the type.

He listened quietly as Zach explained his past times, and found he was a tiny bit envious, as weird as it seemed. "So... You just testing your sexuality, or do you go for both genders?" he asked with genuine curiosity. "Um, admission time... You're my second guy." He shot Zach an embarrassed look, shaking his head as though appalled with himself. "First time... Damn, it was back in high school, I don't even remember it all that much..." She had had red hair, he remembered that much. Just like... "I, um... I've only had one steady girlfriend, though. It... Didn't end well." Hence why he stuck to sleeping with people instead of getting more involved. He chuckled when Zach told him who he was buying for. "That... Makes more sense. I was... Kinda confused." Why was he telling Zach all this stuff? Usually pillow talk was just stuff that didn't really matter...

Kai mumbled into the pillow. "When I said dinner, I meant..." He motioned to both of them vaguely, not wanting to actually explain it. Apparently the text hadn't been clear enough... He'd keep that in mind for the future. The 'shiny man-pecs' comment made him laugh aloud, and he snuggled over closer to Zach, pressing the man's face against his chest. "What, these?" he teased. "You don't like them?" After a moment, though, he pulled away, and actually started to move to sit up. "I mean, I can make dinner though, if you really want..." He even started pushing the covers down; it wasn't too late, if it's what Zach wanted.

He paused as Zach started talking though, looking down at his pale lover with first bewilderment, then amusement. And he laughed again. "The truth comes out," he chuckled, though he said it softly, without mocking. "You wanna tell me here, or while I'm cooking?" If Zach even wanted him to get up, that was.

If Zach was really not okay with something, he'd make sure that Kai knew it in no uncertain terms. For now everything had just been…uncomfortable, different, unsettling….an oh my god! There was no way he was going to tell Kai that though.

Zach shook his head, a smile starting to form on his lips. "I have…no idea." A chuckle escaped from him. For the longest time, he'd been doing the hipster thing and calling himself "demisexual", only having sex with someone he'd formed an emotional connection with……like 90% of the frigging population! Really, who was he kidding, it was probably just a lame excuse to explain away his lack of action, but Zach still didn't know what was up with him. It was like he didn't even know himself anymore.

"Yeah, well, you could've fooled me," he replied to Kai's admission. Kai really seemed like he knew what he was doing, even if he wasn't very experienced in the gay-sex department.

"Sorry," he expressed, hearing about Kai's only relationship. A failed one, at that. "I've had…absolutely no relationships, so at least you got me beat on that one."

Zach chuckled again, remembering what he was doing in the department store. "Yeah…she kinda likes…that…kind of stuff." Noa wore it often enough at the House, or at least Zach assumed she would.

Dinner = Sex. Good to know. He really should have just said it straight, but…well, if he did then Zach might not have shown up. "And here I thought you were trying to turn it into a nice evening, not just….carnal." But the next thing he knew, Zach was being pressed face first into those pecs he was referring to, his eyes going wide with shock. "I"m….I'm not answering that," he said simply.

"Yeah, actually….that'd be…nice," he stressed that last word, smirking a little up at Kai. But then he was right back down, grabbing a nearby pillow and burying his red face in it. "Shut up! This is hard enough for me as it is!" Zach stayed there for a moment while Kai made his offer. "I'll…be out in a minute, if you want to get started….if you want." His stomach grumbled.

Kai chuckled, letting his fingers trail up Zach's arm to his chest, where he traced random shapes against his skin. "I mean... I think it takes a while, sometimes, to determine what you are," he mused aloud. "And... Well, it's not like you have to know anyway. I mean, I was only with women until... Two, three weeks ago?" It was weird to think about. He let a smile tug on his lips. "If you'd come around any earlier, I might not have had the nerve to try to hook up with you drunk." Mmm... Probably a lie. But still.

"Could I have?" he smirked, leaning in and giving Zack a light nibble on the ear. "I'm glad. I think my education has more to do with it than anything, though." At least, he'd learned the... Technical stuff that way. He shrugged off the apology; there was no need to go into detail just how much that had messed him up. "It's hard to have time for a relationship when you're in college anyway," he replied lightly. "It's why I usually just..." He waved his hand between them again vaguely.

"Oooh," he teased, resting his chin on the back of his hands. "Sounds like a real firecracker. Maybe you'll have to introduce me." Little did he know that he had actually met - and slept with - the exact person Zach was talking about.

"It was a nice evening!" he retorted. "At least... I had a good time." And it wasn't over yet. It wasn't too late to still do something not so... Physical. He simply snickered at Zach's response to his playful move, ruffling the guy's hair as he let him pull away. "Okay, okay," he grinned, more than happy to cook now that everything else was out of the way. "What do you feel like having?" He pushed himself out of the bed and stretched, going over to his dresser to tug on a pair of boxers as Zach mumbled and grumbled into his pillow. The smile hadn't left his face. "Take your time," he told Zach. "I won't go anywhere." He stalked back over to the bed and pulled the man's face up for a quick kiss before he went out into the kitchen and started to get out what he needed to cook with.

Considering Zach hadn't much experience at all, it's no surprise he had no clue what his orientation was. The guy was sexually retarded! Flirtations from both men and women usually went right over his head, that's how not on his mind sex and relationships were! That's probably why he'd never tried before. Zach was always busy doing something else, like school, family stuff, stuff people roped him into….

"If I hadn't have been drunk, I would have turned you down right away…." That wasn't a lie….probably. It wasn't like Zach had people trying to get in his pants left and right.

"Hey…" he drolled out, tilting his head slightly away from Kai's mouth. Zach blinked, reflecting on what Kai said. "Yeah…I think that might be why I never tried. School just kind of…was my life." He didn't really have time to be lolling around having sex. And now he was graduated.

Zach's eyebrows shot up and he laughed. "Oh, you'd like her. She…she's a…a pushy little thing." Right, now he remembered. "Yeah, I'll introduce you when you come over. I invited her too."

"I think you're confusing the two meaning…" Zach mumbled, his palm covering his forehead. Though he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it as well. He shook his head. "I don't know, I'm not really that picky." He lived off a diet of pizza and ramen. Anything other than that was a high class meal. "Yeah, thanks…" Zach kept his head rested in the pillow until moments later he felt Kai pull up on his head to plant another kiss on him. Zach's face, already red, just got redder, and his mouth hung open in silent protests. He grumbled and flopped back down on the bed.

It was a few minutes more before Zach found the willpower to get up and find his clothes, and pretty soon he was reliving a moment of disturbing nostalgia as he stepped out of the room to see Kai standing in the kitchen clad in only his boxers. This time, however, instead of racing to get out as fast as possible, Zach stepped to the table and took a seat. "….smells good."

Kai chuckled. "I guess it's good I found you again when you were drunk, then, huh?" he replied, although he was a little pouty about this announcement. "But now you're miiine," he taunted, sticking his tongue out of the corner of his mouth. Yep, he was fairly certain he could get Zach to do this again whenever he wanted. Fairly certain.

"Yeah... And I got two more terms before I'm done," Kai mused. "But now that you're done, you have... No excuse." Kai realized belatedly that it may sound suggestive for him to say that. Because he certainly wasn't looking for a relationship. No way. Not after... What had happened. And he really was too busy.

"Ah, wonderful," he replied quickly, glad for the change in subject. "Maybe we can invite her over sometime, if she's into that." He sent Zach a sly smile and a wink. He just couldn't stop teasing him - it was too entertaining.

Kai decided breakfast for dinner sounded good, so he had started making pancake batter from scratch and had started pouring some onto the hot skillet by the time Zach appeared, all dressed and everything. "You didn't have to get dressed," he chided, looking over his shoulder. "And, I mean, if you're going to spend the night... You can borrow some of my pajamas or something, if you want." They'd be a little big on Zach, but they'd work. Kai was just glad Zach wasn't zooming out of there like last time.

"Good, it should," he replied lightly, letting the pancake cook as he tossed a few slices of bacon on another pan. While those cooked, he pulled out a couple plates and set them on the table, pausing for a brief moment before he went back to the kitchen to wrap his arms around Zach's neck from behind and attack his temple with kisses. "What sort of condiments do you like?" he mumbled in the man's ear, giving him one last peck before returning to his work. "It won't be too long. Sorry it's, ah... Not all that fancy or anything." He had a steak he could cook, but Kai was feeling a little too lazy to go to that much trouble.

Zach sighed. "Noo…you're lucky you found me when I was drunk. You're lucky I was at that party at all, I didn't want to be there." If that night had gone Zach's way, he would have been back at his apartment eating pizza and working on his book. Though…he wasn't sure how he felt about being labeled as Kai's, and he shot him a glare for it. Zach could say no if he wanted….probably.

"Yeah, yeah…though…" Zach looked off to the side, thinking. "I think I'm going to stay for my masters, actually." Which meant more classwork all the time, so he'd be busy but… "But I don't think that's going to get in the way of…things…anymore…" What things, exactly?

Kai's suggestion had Zach looking at him in disbelief. "I don't think….actually, knowing her she might be into that." Zach just wasn't sure if he would be into that. How would that even work anyway?

When he emerged from the room, Zach looked down at himself, clothed in just his jeans. "It's not like I'm…fully dressed," he pointed out. Was he going to stay the night though? It wasn't that far to get to his own apartment but…well, at this rate Zach probably will. He didn't confirm it, however, and just said, "Thanks…"

Zach jerked up when Kai wrapped his arms around him from behind and sort of…leaned his head to the side as it was smothered in a flurry of kisses. Zach just rolled his eyes at that, trying to hide his embarrassment. "For pancakes? Syrup, maybe?" He wasn't very creative with topping preferences and it showed. Zach shook his head. "It's home-cooked. That's fancier than anything I eat in…I dunno, a month?" Pizza and ramen, people.
