Soft soled boots tapped lightly on the floors as she made her way down the hall, her sunglasses sitting atop her fiery mane like a crown. She'd been told that her room was in these parts and, being the type to not procrastinate where her things are at stake she'd made sure to head that way as soon as she had her key. She paused in her trek as her phone vibrated in the jacket of her dark grey peacoat and she fished it out, swiping her thumb across the screen in practice motions to unlock it. Her dark eyes flicked across the words from her bestie back at her old high school and the girl chuckled to herself as she slid out of her coat. Her dark green scarf hung loose around her neck, contrasting the mint green button up she was wearing. Dark wash jeans hugged her legs, offset by the knee high, green leather boots.
[WE LOVE YOU ZXI! Come home and visit us sometime!] A picture of the cheerleading team she left behind was attached as well as one of the boys basketball team dressed in drag for Spirit Week which had just started as she was leaving.
"Ahh send offs. How lovely." She chuckled an locked the screen before slipping it into her messenger bag. Pulling it back on her shoulder and tossing her coat over her arm she continued up the hallway, looking at door numbers for hers, not really caring to be quiet about it. She hadn't slept since she'd left her home in Maine that morning, that didn't make it really LATE though and thus she had expected the hallways to be almost teeming with teenage activity an goings on... not to be as quiet as it was. "I do hope this place isn't full of brainiacs who can't have fun." She sighed, twirling a bit of her hair around a perfectly manicured finger. Finding her room and not really hearing anything within just yet she leaned on the wall by the door and just inspected the building, wasting a bit of time before facing these new people and using that time to calm the twisting nervousness in her gut that her calm facade didn't allude to.
