Lets get to work! (Dylan)

[Madison Davis]

Madison felt herself  get very anxious and jittery as  the time drew near for Dylan to meet her in her dorm for their group project.  She couldn't believe her stroke of luck when she was picked to work with him. She had been secretly checking him out for the past few weeks and found him to be interesting.  All she knew about him though was he was extremely attractive and very funny yet that was enough for her to develop a small crush on the mysterious boy. So when they got picked to do their project together in sociology Madison was more than thrilled to get a chance to talk to him.  She was so excited that she actually decided to drag a comb thru the mess she called her hair and put on something she hoped he would find cute.

She glanced over her outfit one more time in the mirror.  Madison was wearing a  floral half shirt that showed off her belly button ring but just covered her tattoo, some ripped shorts, and a vintage charm bracelet her parents gave her when she was little. It was her favorite accessory and also her good luck charm. She didn't bother to put any shoes or socks own after all their staying in the dorm. She checked her watch for the time. "Any moment now" Madison mumbled taking her laptop into the living room to wait for the boy.

Ugh!!!! Dylan despised school, homework, classwork…basically anything that had to do with school he loathed entirely. Sociology? Really? He totally would have skipped on the entire assignment if the teacher didn't assign partners. He was with some girl named Madison. By the looks of her, she looked like one of those teacher's pet types. Smart. Still hot though. He'd rather make out with her than doing homework. Maybe if he played his cards right she would do all the work and he could just sit back and relax….or make out. Either works. Fat chance, but it was worth a shot. Making his way to her dorm, he reluctantly knocked on her door.

Madison got up from the couch when she heard the knock on the door. She smoothed her hair down one more time and went to answer the door doing her best to stay calm. Yet when she open the door she realise that was easier thought than done. "Hey Dylan come in" Madison said smiling at him nervously while playing with her bracelet charms. She closed the door behind him when he entered. "I thought we like work on are project in the living room. Oh and I like have some chips out on the counter if you want a snack or I could just fix us something eat while we work on are project. Whatever works for you is cool. I'm not a bad cook.. at least that's what one of my roommates told me but I don't cook meat". Madison realise she started to babble and bite down on her lip to keep her mouth from running. "Sorry stupid nervous habit" she mumbled looking down shyly. "I tend to spazz a lot because i have too much energy according to my grandmama". She felt her face turn a little red.

"Yep," Dylan said bluntly as she led him into the living room. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he followed her and listened to her ramble. He smirked to himself when she told him about the chips she put out on the counter and offering to make him a meal. It seemed to him that she was anticipating his visit and was very set on making a really good first impression. He glanced at her quickly and made note that she seemed to have gotten herself dolled up for the occasion as well. Wow, this chick was desperate. It wouldn't surprise the arrogant boy if Madison had a crush on him. In fact, it amused him greatly. He loved the attention.

Plopping down on the couch, he replied with "Depends on what you can make. I'm actually pretty fond of meat so if you can't make it then it looks like we're gonna have a problem." Of course he wasn't being serious and he hoped she understood that. Madison seemed like she would be the type to be a bit clueless. Not with school work or anything, but the basics. But he could be wrong. "I noticed." Dylan replied. She was a jittery one, wasn't she? Reaching over the table, he grabbed a chip and popped it into his mouth.

"Yeah a problem for you" she joked. "You're just going to sit here hungry as I eat I guess". She plopped down next to the boy laptop in hand smiling. “When focused in the right direction it can be a good thing I have so much energy” she said talking about the work of course.

"We should probably get started before I cook anything though. So as you know we are like supposed to like do a social experiment". Madison opened up google chrome and opened up a few of her bookmarks. "See everyone in class is planning on just handing out quiz sheets based on things and to me that's like so boring. So I've been surfing around on the world wide interweb and came up with a few things. I was thinking we do one of these things where you act a something out in public and film people reaction or what they do. It's like pranking in the name of science. We could do the abuse one where you pretend to like abuse me verbally or physically in public and see how many people stop it. Maybe interview the ones who don't. Just like the show "What do you do. Well at least that’s what I came up with. Do you have any ideas”? She grabbed A Caprice Sun from the box she had by the couch and sipped. "Want one?" she offered holding up another one.

Dylan slapped his hand against his chest and scoffed dramatically "Madison, I thought we were friends!" he whined to her as she plopped down next to him with her laptop. Seemed like she was really interested in doing homework then. Shit. When she began explaining what they should do for their stupid project, he leaned back against the couch and looked up at the ceiling. Toning her out was easier than he expected. At that moment, her ceiling tiles were more fascinating than their project. It was obvious that the boy had a very short attention span. As she talked, he began counting the tiles on her ceiling.

Only when she offered a Capri Sun did he snap out of it. Taking the drink, he sipped on it greedily. "Do we have to do this project now?" he looked over at her. "Can we just cook instead? I can make a mean chicken stir fry! Come on! Come on!!" Dylan cooed while nudging her playfully. Anything to get away from homework. "Please?…" he gave her his puppy dog eyes,

Madison smiled at the friends comment though she was sure he was playing around. “Whoa who said anything about being friends?” she joked. “This is moving way too fast I thought we were just group partners”.

She couldn't help giving in when he nudged her and looked at her like that. “Fine we can cook instead but only because you ask so nicely”. An I can't say no when you look at me like that apparently, she thought to herself. “Your puppy dog face needs some work though”. She got up and used one of the ponytails she had on her wrist to tie her hair in a high ponytail. “And I don't eat meat” she said with her nose scrunched up. “I won't even gross you out with what goes into that process before it comes to the stores. Now come on so we can cook”. Without thinking about it she grabbed his hand and started to lead him to the kitchen until she realized she what she was actually doing. She dropped it and blushed. “Sorry Dylan” she said embarrassed mostly about holding his hand.

"Hey," Dylan chuckled a bit when she joked about his puppy dog face. "It worked on you so I think that its fine the way it is." He was a bit disappointed when Madison stated that she didn't eat meat. He honestly couldn't care less about how the meat was made. If it was good it was good; end of story. Yes, it was kind of upsetting how they killed the animals, but he couldn't give up meat. Turkey, chicken, beef, pork! He loved them all. Before he could make up some witty comeback, Madison grabbed his arm and pulled him into the kitchen. Wow, someone wasn't nervous anymore.

She seemed to come back to her senses when they finally reached the kitchen. "You think too much, Madison Davis." he stated before taking her hand and stroking it lightly. "Relax," Dylan smiled before letting her hand go. Turning to the cabinets, he sighed "So, if I can't make my chicken stir fry, then what are you going to make? Cause obviously, I'm not cookin'." he added playfully.

She felt her heartbeat race when he touched her hand. "Relaxing is something I find hard to do around you Dylan" she admitted to him. "Especially when you touch my hand like that". She mentally face-palmed herself. Great I just basically said I have a crush on him ."Lets just forget I said that though kay"?

She went over and looked in the fridge. " I was thinking my veggie burgers and some French fries. The burger made of like corn and beans and stuff but it's super good". Now it was Madison turn for her puppy-dog face. She widened her eyes and looked at him innocently. "Come on you know you want to cook with me" she said sweetly. "Pretty please with sugar on top. I'll be your best friend. Not just any best friend either i'll be like a super omega best friend ".
