It was a quiet night, but Thomas could hear teachers working in their rooms--or a few of them. It was after finals. Most of the students were on their break and the teachers were doing their best to catch up. He'd already offered a nod to Kateri Rivera, who had offered a harassed nod back to her fellow transplant before returning to her room in her usual huff. Thomas had waited to see if they would come out, in the interests of avoiding future incidents of slipping staff, but no one had seemed to, so he'd shrugged, turned around, and returned to his work. It was mopping and waxing tonight again, and he was always wary of that. Somehow someone always managed to--

He heard the squeak and whirled around in time to see another man sliding on the very shiny floor.

Slip. Well, at least this one didn't have any mud on his shoes.

Bleary-eyed, Tom switched off his desk lamp and stretched a little. He was finally done with grading his graduating class papers. He knew he shouldn't have put it off till the last minute but what's done was done. No use dwelling on what ifs and should haves.

It was very late and things were a little blurry for the Omnilingualist. Curse his lack of night vision.

As he walked down the halls, he conveniently looked past the "Wet Floor" sign and within seconds found himself on the floor on his bum. "Bollocks!" he hissed in pain. It was only then that he realised he wasn't alone. "Hello? Could you help me up?" He called out. "I seem to have hit a rather wet patch of floor and uh...I can't seem to get up." He grinned sheepishly.
