Friendships, sure. He wasn't going to lie and say that he had a lot of those, so the prospect excited him a little bit. It was an excitement that he curbed, and didn't let get shown on the outside. It was that lack of emotional discharge that usually left him looking a lot nastier than he really was. Even the people he considered immune from insult really didn't care for him. "I suppose it is, yeah." He'd decided with a nod, finally fully sliding the book away in to his bag, setting one leg up on the bench, curled in towards himself, and rested on its side. He offered Damion his absolutely full attention. Though, still, his puzzle wasn't one that he was going to open up, not with ease.
Blue eyes locked with blue, the final gesture to show that he did indeed have interest in continuing the conversation through small-talk, that he actually had some iota of interest in what he had to say, instead of just that disgruntled smile-and-nod business that almost everyone did. It was an impressive feat that Damion managed to get this far, as far as he was concerned. But it was nice being able to have a casual conversation with someone, without actually having to care about if he'd have to spin them or manipulate someone.
In reality, he was a pretty damaged guy, and this was a bit cathartic and helpful, even if one would almost never hear him admit that with company around.
"You're a lot more interesting than almost everyone I can think of off the top of my head. All I hear all the time is 'waaaah my boyfriend' this, or 'you whore blablabla' that. Teenage drama is so annoying."
