An Epic Fail (OPEN)

Casey was done with being stuck indoors for hours on end for a Friday. While zie could think of things worse than school, it was just hard to sit through class at the end of the week. And that was how zie ended up in the courtyard during zir lunch period. Of course, being March in Vermont meant wasn't all sunshine and fresh plants like other parts of the nation. There was still plenty of ice on ground, and the half-melted slush coating it didn't help with what little traction people could manage.

Even with the still cold weather, Casey was out enjoying the fresh air of the courtyard. Zie could just get lost in the scenery of it. Granted, plants were dead and snow was now slush, but the outdoors could still be enjoyed. Casey, of course, wasn't really paying attention to zir footing. Slipping was inevitable. However, landing in a puddle of half frozen mud was just bad luck.

Casey's hands slapped against the ground hard as zir backside hit. Zie could hear the splash made, and sitting up zie could feel the could and wet seep through zir hoody. "Just great." Casey muttered quietly as zie started to get up. Zir jeans were soaked as well as the rest of zir back. Surely no one had been out there to see this, right?

With a cappuccino in one hand and a cellphone in the other Alex ventured outside in the cold air from the lunch room. She didn't know if it was just her cellphone or what but she could never get reception in the cafeteria and she was trying to text her friend Morgan. She ended up walking absent mindedly to the courtyard as she started to text. She just happen to look up when she seen a boy ,well at least she thought he was a boy, slipping and falling. Of course being the ever so nice person Alex was didn't ask if he was okay or if he broke anything. No instead she busted out laughing at the sight. Though after she had gotten her laugh out the way she thought she probably should ask if the boy was okay.

"You alright over there?" she said with a smile on her face not sounding really sincere. "That look like that was painful as hell". She looked at the boy trying to place a name with the face but coming up short. Which was weird because she usually knew everyone and vice versa. Must be someone new or someone who doesn't talk to many people.
