Casey has the involuntary ability to heal himself on a cellular level. This means that whatever hurts him will heal at an impressive rate, up to broken bones. Additionally he is able to regenerate lost limbs. He does feel pain, though the pain is only a fraction of what other people might feel since his cells react and tie off the wound first thing.
This brings a few things with it. He has to eat nearly constantly, he can go without food for as long as 5 hours before needing to eat. It takes him about 5 seconds to heal from a superficial wound, and about a day to heal a broken bone. And up to a month when regrowing an arm or leg, though if that happens his regeneration stops the flow of blood instantly. Due to this he is unable to give blood if the need arises.

General Appearance:Casey would describe himself as pretty normal, not out of the ordinary in terms of looks. He stands at a respectable 6' 3'' which he actually is pretty proud of as almost everyone he hangs around with is smaller than he is, thus he acts condescending mainly due to his height. His hair is relatively short and dark brown of color and straight in style. His facial features rarely get anything of a treatment other than a regular splash of water and a nice scrub. Casey has an average build and is content with that even if other people aren't because he knows it is because of his ability.
He always wears tunnels in both ears and never changes anything about them. Other than that, nothing is set. He tends to go for simple tank tops in terms of clothing as he is proud of his tattoos.
Personality:Casey is self centered, let's get that out of the way. When you meet him for the first time he is going to be distant for about the first 5 minutes and will most likely tell you, not ask, to get out of his sight. The few people who stay around long enough for him to get to know them he'll accept as friends, though he will call you an acquaintance the first few days.
He is, however, protective of the people he cares about to the degree of him assuming no one can fend for themselves. Being a man makes him think he is the only one with the ability to be frank with people, and as such he will likely say what he thinks people will say, which often isn't the case.
His ability forces him to eat a lot more than usual so pretty much anyone bringing him any kind of food gets a notch in his eyes. You will rarely find Casey without food nearby, he is almost always eating something.

History
Casey grew up in a, what for most people would be, standard family. He had a mother, a father and a brother and sister who were both one and two years younger respectively. He had an amazing childhood up till the point his parents discovered his brother being a meta-human and had to ship him off to Hammel.
His parents were a mess and so was his sister. And obviously there were some tears shed by Casey, but he also felt like there was more parental attention for him now. His parents had been focusing on his brother more because Case was always the kid picking fights and getting bad grades, some people tried to convince his parents he was merely bored and didn't try because of that, but those words had fallen on deaf ears since the arrival of William. Case hated his brother and everyone that took attention away from him. He was never good with [normal] words, he always said something wrong which made people quickly dislike the way he spoke. Even his family began ignoring him after a while.
As he hit age 13 he found his sister standing lifelessly near a fire, he of course instantly assumed she had started it due to his own need of being the centre of attention. And starting a fire was exactly what he would do. But not even 3 days had passed before people showed up telling the Snyder family that the daughter was a meta also, and had manifested with a power called pyrokinesis, the control of fire. She had to be sent to Hammel immediately. They mentioned looking out for their third child, because there was a good chance he was also a meta seeing as there had been 2 cases in the same household in a relatively short amount of time.
Casey enjoyed the thought of leaving his parents behind and starting anew, finding a place where he would get the attention he deserved. But since there was no sign of him having any sort of ability aside from beating up kids and barely getting scratches, he left it at an idea. It wasn't until his sister was brought to Hammel (which he joined) that he got to thinking as people suggested to his parents that he could have a passive ability as opposed to the 2 earlier activated ones.
Once home he tried talking to his parents, who at the time were a bit too busy trying to cope with their daughter being taken away from them. Casey burst out, angry at the fact they didn't even have time for him and began finding outlets for his anger soon after. The kids at his school being beaten up increased radically and Casey's parents were called to the school, where they were told that Case was a lost cause, that he was more violent than anything else. Their parents just accepted the fact and went home with the idea of just taking Case out of school. If he wasn't learning he didn't need school, was their impeccable reasoning.
As soon as they got home they found the same men that represented Hammel for the third time, the parents wondered why and totally forgot to think about their firstborn maybe having an ability. Sure enough they said just that, it had turned out that Casey had an ability, a passive one as they had suggested. The parents knew that Case was going to be shipped off to Hammel, and as opposed to with the other two times they showed no sign of any change, they just nodded and offered the nice people a drink.
Casey stayed at Hammel for a good 5 years, getting into more trouble than before. Despite having his brother and sister to cope he was not at ease and started to work at whatever place would have him as soon as he had graduated.
