ANIMAL MORPH:
Kamini's only morph is a strong, well-bult, golden-orange bengal tiger.
At first, Kamini's morphing was solely reliable upon her mood, and because Kamini's mood fluctuates dramatically throughout the day, she was constantly on the brink of transforming for the first week of her menstruation. She was constantly in pain. For the next few months before the Institute found her, Kamini only morphed when she was incredibly angry or frightened. When she changed, it was excruciating. Her bones would crack, break, re-shape. Her back legs would bend, her arms would shorten, her hands would shrink... And when her head would morph, it was the most painful. She'd get the most painful headaches.
When she'd finally change back -- it took much calming down, and a lot of concentration -- she'd be naked, her clothes torn to shreds by the change. When the Institute found her, they helped her understand her powers and they became much less painful and more enjoyable. Now, she keeps an extra pair of clothes on her at all times and she is no longer forced into the tiger form during her cycle -- although it happens sometimes.

Any Scars? She's got claw marks down the front of her body from the first time she morphed.
General Appearance:
Kamini stands at about 5'4". She's about 135 pounds, and extremely curvy and shapely. She's got muscles -- although she doesn't look strong at all. In fact, her appearance is deceiving, considering her personality is strong and she looks meek and kind.
Her skin is naturally golden-tan. Her lips are plump pink, her eyebrows thin and arched over her amber, almost cat-like eyes. Her teeth are white and her canines look intriguingly sharper than normal, giving her an almost vampirish smile. Her hair is long, falling past her shoulder in loose black waves. Her hair is actually one of the most interesting parts of her. In the dark, it is seemingly merely black. But caught in just the right light, a tinge of red or orange can be seen glimmering slightly before disappearing in shadow.
Her hands are slender, her skin smooth as a baby's. Her legs are long, probably her best feature, and she enjoys showing them off by wearing blue jean shorts or mini-skirts. She'll also wear jeans on occasion. She also enjoys showing off her shoulders, so she'll wear spaghetti-strapped tops or off-the-shoulder shirts. She prefers to be bare-foot, to feel the ground beneath her feet.
As a tiger, Kamini feels most free and beautiful. She is about 300 pounds and 8 feet in length. Her back legs are shorter than that of her front, allowing her to leap up to 10 meters in front of her. Her large paws, sheltered by black pads, allow her to stalk silently. Her proudest asset other than her large (2.5 inch), intimidating canines are her claws, which are 4 inches long.
Her fur, her pride, is orange-red, short, silky, and is cut by double-looped, black stripes. Her ears are black, and on the top there are two white dots like eyes. Her underbelly is creamy white, her nose a petal pink, and her whiskers long.
Her eyes are wide, golden-amber, and seem to stare into the souls of others.
In both human and tiger form, Kamini is very tiger-like. She can snarl, bare her teeth, growl, hiss in both forms -- and most times its frightening while also in the human form. Other times, it can be silly. Hearing that kind of sound come from a person can just make a person snort, unimpressed.
Personality:
Kamini Vena is more predator than prey -- more tiger than human. In a fight or flight situation, Kamini will nearly always fight because that's what she is, a fighter.
She's strong, determined, coy. She's known for a confidence that most girls -- even some boys -- would die for. She's quiet unless provoked, and tends to have a short temper toward children, old people, and those that she considers idiots. While her emotions don't fluctuate as they did as a teenager, they are still a little scattered and this can either arouse her tiger persona or bring out the rare, human side of her. She is very passionate in the sense that she loves to be loved, although she is anything but arrogant or spoiled.
While Kamini considers herself a dominant female and is quite confident, she's wary of what she considers a strong, more confident male -- whether they be human or tiger. She knows her place in the way of the world, and if she's shorter and less powerful then she becomes humbled and submissive. And Kamini loves to be forced into submission.
She knows every inch of her body, and knows how to use it to her advantage. She walks with a natural sway, as if she's swishing her tail as she goes.
Because of all these traits, many people -- mostly women -- look upon her with disdain. They see her as too confident, arrogant, and stand-off-ish. This makes Kamini dislike females more than she does males. But Kamini's merely pensive and she's comfortable with herself -- although she's much more comfortable in her tiger skin. She can't help if this makes her intimidating.

History
Kamini spent the first seven years of her life in India with her mother and father, who had both been young when they had been blessed with their daughter. With help from their parents, the two managed to raise Kamini under fair circumstances. She went to a fine school and learned English. But while she did well in school, her mother was worried that her daughter was much too shy. The color of her eyes -- a strange, yet praised golden hue -- made her stand out among her peers. Aditi was anxious that perhaps the teasing was too much for her daughter, who had always been different than other children.
When she had been five, the small family had taken a vacation. During this trip, a safari was available and Aditi, who enjoyed adventure, immediately signed the family up. But Kamini had wandered away from the group. The guide searched everywhere frantically, although no one understood why. They had been told that this adventure was perfectly safe, that all animals were tamed. It was a ride, a fake. But the guide admitted to the parents of the lost Kamini that there was a tiger in the brush that had escaped its cage and was untamed. Aditi and Jayanta became distraught and started searching tirelessly for their daughter. When they finally found her, she was curled up in the comfort of the wild tiger's side, safe and sound.
Kamini, of course, did not recall this event until she was much older.
When Kamini was nearly 8, her family moved to America. There, she went to an even better school than the one back in India. However, her social situation did not change. In America, people still looked at her strangely. But Kamini was growing a thick skin, and the older she got, the stranger she got toward her parents. She started becoming confident in herself, in her body, and when she turned fourteen and completed her first cycle, she finished her transformation. No longer was she the sweet daughter her parents remembered.
And that first cycle was incredibly difficult for Kamini. It was painful. Every day she was wracked with sharp, crunching pain that kept her bed-ridden all week. It was on the second to last day of her cycle that she finally transformed completely. Her mother had walked in her room with a cup of warm soup to find a cub laying where her daughter had been. Needless to say, everyone was shocked and terrified. Especially Kamini, who was unable to transform back into a human for another four days.
It took another month for the Hammel Institute to find her and bring her in to their care. Under their tutelage, Kamini learned to control her emotions and thus her transformation powers. Needless to say, her untamable personality brought much trouble, but Kamini graduated with flying colors nonetheless. She immediately signed up to become a trainer at the school -- or anything, as long as she could stay and help others. Under one condition: She could go back to India and live with other tigers for three months. She wanted to know more about herself, about the species. The trip only heightened her tiger persona, and her personality. It made her more positive that she was really a tiger stuck in a human body. It gave her an opportunity to live the way she would have, if she was born correctly. And maybe one day, she'll return to India, and a life in the wild.
Roleplay Example
The soft, coughing sound escaped her parted jaws in greeting. In front of her, stood a friend, green-yellow eyes flashing in the dim sunlight of an Indian morning. Kamini would leave the wild, today. She was due back to America, in her furless, weak, human form. Aiman, a tiger twice as small as she, watched as Kamini came closer and finally she answered Kamini's call and stepped forth from the shadow of a tree.
They rubbed heads, a loud purr rumbling from deep within Aiman's throat. She didn't quite understand where this strange tiger who had slowly become her companion was going, but knew it would be the last time they met.
I will never forget all that you have taught me, Kamini thought between that secret link all tigers seemed to hold.
Come home soon, Kamini, the tigress whispered back and finally the two separated from one another. Aiman's belly was heavy with cubs. She'd be a mother soon. Kamini was sad she wouldn't be around to see it.
I will return. Kamini thought in farewell as she turned and loped out of the clearing. As she ran, she tried to remember how to be human. But there was so little that she could recall. So little that she wanted to remember.
As she finally reached another clearing near the dirt road that held her hidden clothes, Kamini held back a sigh and closed her eyes. She thought of her human life, and felt her bones crunch and reshape. It was painless, now. But as she stood on two feet and touched her face, she found her cheeks damp from her tears, and knew that it was the most painful change that she'd ever had to experience.
